OpenOffice ' does not ' in Windows 7

Win 7 home premium, 64-bit; OpenOffice.org 3.1

I use OpenOffice to prepare the conferences of a schema in a separate document.  I have the OO presentation on one side of the screen and the contour in an OO document in another window on the other side.  I have prepared some presentations like this with no problems. Recently, I was preparing a presentation and the guarded window "not responding" after only about 5-10 strikes.  This occurred particularly in the presentation, but also in the schema document.  There will be a delay of several seconds, and the words would normally appear. On a handful of times this window closed and restoring factory would go.  I went on the OO forum for help, but I was wondering if any expert MS can identify what could be the problem and propose a solution, please.

I suggest you put the computer in a clean boot State, and check if the problem persists.

Also try to start the computer in clean boot which is to turn off non-Microsoft services. The turn off non-Microsoft services aims to check if one of these services is causing the problem. Follow the steps below to start the computer in a clean boot:

1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
5. click on OK.
6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
1. click on start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
2. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
3. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

Click Start > type % temp % in the start search box > press on enter > delete everything present in the temp folder.

    Your Windows passes genuine validation? If your activation session has expired and that windows did not pass the validation, it will not show any visual effect such as background noise, themes etc. It will only show a black screen and at the bottom right of the screen you can see attention.

    Bought J6413 all-in-one; the software that is installed according to the instructions on the CD.  Attempted to restart after the installation, the computer hangs upward after shooting intself on and display the logo of the motherboard, does not load Windows.

    Printer is off, did reset, everything was fine, Windows loaded etc.  Repeat the action and came to the conclusion that the power of the computer with the printer off left (it's a fax machine, it should be all the time) or even reset the onboard computer after, say, install new software, prevents the loading of Windows on them turn on the computer.

    Only possible mode of operation is to put off the printer, then turn off the computer, then turn on printer to serve fax standby and then do the same set of operations before turning to new computer.

    I did a restore and recovery backup because only my WINDOWS 8 stopped to update and gave me problems with speed. I did everything you can imagine. I even run the tweaking.com from windows to check for problems.

    Run a full scan with Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner , and then run file System check (SFC) Scan and repair the filesystem - Microsoft Community.

    Uninstall any antivirus bloatware, use built-in Defender.  Use the special tool to uninstall any inflated AV: uninstallers (removal tools) for common - antivirus ESET Knowledgebase software

    Tweaking registry cleaners and the suites (not counting as CCleaner) ruin Windows.

    As you've already tried several troubleshooting steps, I suggest that you try to reset the Windows Update components. This clears the cache to update and will allow windows to check for each update is available on our server. If an update is found is not installed, which will appear under available updates.

    I suggest that you follow the steps below and try to reset the Windows Update components:

    1. Press Windows + X key.
    2. Click on (Admin) command prompt.
    3. Disable Windows Update services. Type the following commands and press on enter after each line
      1. net stop bits
      2. net stop wuauserv
      3. net stop appidsvc
      4. net stop cryptsvc
    4. Reset update components. Copy the following text and paste the same in the command line window.

    5. (Note: shortcut keys do not work in the Windows command prompt, please use right click to paste these codes.)
    6. Restart the Services. Type the following commands and press on enter after each line:

      4. net start cryptsvc

    Try to check the updates now, let us know if you encounter error messages.

    Once I click on the icon to launch the Firefox browser I momentarily have the little blue icon of waiting... then nothing.
    I can use everything on the computer, including the border, IE, Chrome, and Safari.

    If I go to Task Manager it shows Firefox without activity. I can summon a number of instances of Firefox all do the same thing... nothing.

    If I finish all instances of Firefox in the Task Manager, then try to run Firefox again once it opens and works normally. I can run a number of instances, and they work as they should.

    If I normally close all instances of Firefox, they may or may not work the next time I try to run Firefox (intermittent). If the browser does not, I repeat the closing the Firefox process in the Task Manager and then reopening it... It will work then.

    I tried to do a clean install of Firefox without success. The same problem.
    The new installation of Windows 10 pro (64-bit)

    I have another laptop with Windows 10 with the same Firefox addons and same imported bookmarks etc. It works very well.

    This is puzzling?? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    What I did... I uninstalled Firefox and then deleted all the references in the window registry related to Firefox.
    Then, I put the edge as default browser, restarted.
    I then downloaded and did a new install of Firefox and set it as my default browser.
    Rebooted just to be sure.

    Yay! It works now.
