  Can anyone help with this one... I built my project in CS5 and has not used any feature mulitcam, but simply aligned images of my two cameras manually.  Now I'm trying to open it in CC6 polishing and color, etc.  When I open the project file I don't get mistakes and just rename the project file.  When it opens in fact, all of my B-camera clips are correct, but all my clips in camera camera-has moved to other sections of the sequence and are totally screwed up.  I checked the frame rate on everything in media locations in 5 and 6 to ensure that nothing has changed in the transfer and checked the sequence settings in both institutions.  None of the publishers I know have experienced this problem.  Please help if you can!

  With the help of project manager, I collected and moved a project created with CC Pro Prem to another machine running CS5.

  When I try to open the project on the machine of CS5, I get an error message saying the project appears to be damaged and cannot be opened.

  The collected project can be opened with CC on the machine that created it, but no CS5 on this machine, is not a corruption of files during the move between machines.

  Before that I spend too long trying to figure out what's going on, is there a simple reason: back-compatibility of the versions?

  Hi Martyn,

  Project files are not backward compatible, mainly because of new features that make their way into each new version of Premiere Pro that are written in the project file. I don't remember when they made in the software (CS5 seems if long ago!), but the best would be to export an FCP XML file or a file AAF of CC. These options are available from the file > export menu.

  You can export either an FCP XML as a set of the project or the selection of sequences; Export AAF is available on a per sequence, with editing being the active panel Panel basis. Note that these will preserve * most * of your sequence data, but some effects and features that are available that in later versions will not travel. And, there is also no guarantee that your project/sequence will be completely reconstructed as you had in CC, so proceed with caution. Move forward with versions isn't usually a problem, but if you intend on back and forth between these versions, it could do a little bit hairy.

  Yosemite has a history of breaking CS5 installed.

  You also need to change your security settings for "Anywhere" temporarily or OSX may block the installation.

  Here's a slight stumper:

  I have files that I exported from CS5.5 to .idml, but when I try to open them in CS5, I get a status bar which seems to be a success, but then I get the typical missing plugin error message associated with opening the files .indd directly. In addition, the error message indicates that she TRYING to open some ghost .indd files (they are not unknown, I recognize the names) and seems stuck in an infinite loop, erase the error message (i.e. hitting OK) invites where only another and forces me to force quit this 'thing'.

  It comes AFTER trashing my preferences, my InDesign file backup data and recovery of InDesign file and empty the trash system each time several times.

  I made a trivial test directly using CS5 and directly open file which does not seem to show the error message, only tries to open .idml files. I even re-exported the CS5.5 files 2 or 3 times just in case the exchange of original files have been corrupted.

  Any suggestions, recommendations and advice are welcome. I'm REALLY trying not to have to reinstall the software, if I can help it.

  Simple... you SpeedGrade 2015.1 (9.2) and PrPro 2015.0.1 (9.0.1). They don't 'work' together.

  You must get your PrPro up to 9.1, 2015.1 release. If your desktop application Adobe CC is not show your 'eligible' for the upgrade PrPro, sign out of it, then back in... that often useful. If this isn't the case, you may need to use the soft Cleaner CC Adobe to remove the application from Office CC & then reinstall it and reconnect.

  I was working on a project last night on a computer at work and when I tried to open it today on my computer at home I got this error message:

Anyway, I was under the impression that the ASP files are universal as PSDs although some features may be unavailable depending on how new is your program.

  You will need to open the project in 2014 and then save it under a CC, and then open in CC and save it as CS6, then open in CS6 and save with CS5. It's the only way.
