OpenVMS Alpha server monitor?

Someone is trying to find a HQ agent running on an old HP Alpha Server running OpenVMS?  There is a Java 1.5 version that runs on OpenVMS 8.3.

Thank you
Brian

Brian,

as far I can see there is no SIGAR port available for OpenVMS, so I think it will not work on this operating system:

    Hi all

    CF Version 11,0,07,296330

    Tomcat 7.0.64.0 version

    Java version 1.8.0_25

    I have this strange problem that I hope is an easy solution.  Already when I ran CF9 I was able to enter the server without problem monitor.  In June, we have deployed a new server and installed CF11.  Since then, I was not able to get in the server monitor, so I guess that the problem is related to the way that configure ColdFusion server.

    When I click on Start Server Monitor in the CF administrator, he launches a new window, but displays the following error message:

    CF Error.png

    I don't know if he just needs in bad the monitor server, or the issue is due to the account used to set up see  ColdFusion is running as user "nobody"... which I'm sure that isn't the right way to have this set up.  For login information, I tried using the administrator account that connect to the Admin of CF page with, but did not have luck.

    Any help for that to be resolved would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you!

    We ended up finding it works. It turns out that the port 5500 has been blocked at the firewall level... ugh.

    Thank you!

  • Not available in CF9 server monitoring?

    I connect to CF on my Mac server admin and click on "Server Monitor" under the heading "Monitoring Server.

    The display shows: "this function is not available in this edition of the ColdFusion server.

    I have Standard edition and you have updated to version 9.0.1

    But Monitoring Server appears clearly as a feature, even in the Standard edition.

    Serve Rmonitoring is a characteristic of the company, it is not available in standard edition.

  • ColdFusion Server monitoring - does not

    Hello.

    I'm launching the Coldfusion server monitor on a Windows Server 2003 (Web edition) computer running Coldfusion 8 (ver. 8,0,0,176276). It runs in a stand-alone configuration.

    The pop-up window launches as http://www.mydomain.com/CFIDE/administrator/monitor/launch-monitor.cfm. However, I get a box Flash dialog and then with the error information "ColdFusion server is unavailable". The dialog box also has a place to fill in the details of the server (for example the port number and the name of user and password). All of this information seems in order, and once again the error message is to do with him thinking that Coldfusion is not running. Of course, the CF server is available, but perhaps the server monitor can not see.

    The interesting thing is that on some other boxes, we have that running Windows Web Server 2008 and the same version of CF, we have NO PROBLEMS of launching the CF server monitor.

    Of course, missing me something here. Anyone encountered this problem. All responses are greatly appreciated!

    Thank you very much, Ciaran

    Ciaran, I think you'll find the answer here:

    http://carehart.org/blog/client/index.cfm/2008/11/7/cf911_cf8mon_cf_unavailable

    The key is that I found a clear instance of the error that you say be because the wildcard mapping in IIS is configured to use the option, "verify that this file exists. Unchecking it solved the problem. There are even more that I have discussed, including another option to consider.

    Hope that helps someone.

  • IDrac access attached server monitor/keyboard without having to reboot

    Hello

    I have connected a keyboard and a screen to a R730xd server and would like to access iDrac. However, I see the login prompt of the OS installed.

    I have found no way to switch to the iDrac without rebooting. I'm sure it must be possible somehow?

    Best regards

    Brian

    You can share the details of the server and the Linux operating system that is installed on the server? One way to access host OS iDRAC is by installing racadm software. After that, you can run racadm commands and configure iDRAC.

    See below for more details on racadm

    Unfortunately, your "hope not" is the case.  There is no option to use the system to display the operating system prompted with ESX or ESXi (with or without a second video card).  Its designed as a server operating system, not something that you interact with directly.

  • Monitoring of server problem

    I had a situation where we have installed CF 8 and ran the trial version for a while before we bought the Standard license and applied. We were checking out monitoring during our trial server, and it was activated. Now - because we took the Standard edition server monitor version is not available. However - I still get e-mails generated by the monitor server. Is there a way to disable the server monitor - without access to the interface?

    Thank you

    Go to "neo-monitoring.xml" in "\ColdFusion8\lib".

    change

    Save the file and restart the server.

  • Mac OS Server 5.0 for Mac OS 10.10.5

    I tried to download Mac OS Server via the App Store. Someone in the discussions said that you will be automatically get invited to download the old version on Mac OS Server even if you are trying to d/l the real version. This does not work for me. Pop-up - message that me firstly update my system for Sierra. But this isn't an option for me. I need to stay 10.10.5 for several reasons (compatibility of systems ERP etc.).

    How and where can I I Mac OS Server 5.0 to d/l?

    BTW: Apple support Hotline wasn't really positive or useful. They just told me that I have to upgrade to Sierra. But I think it was b * llsh * t.

    Anyone here having the same problem?

    Thanx

    CSX

    I'm having a similar problem. I want OS x 10.9.5 running Server 3.2.2 for MacOS 10.12 running Server 5.2. Setup of Sierra warned me to keep my data server I have first need to install OS X 10.10 and 10.11 and Server 4 or 5. Last night I upgraded to OS X 10.11.4 and then tried to upgrade the server. After updates, I finished with OS X 10.11.6 and Server 5.2 and could not open the app server as my data could not be upgraded to version 5.2. I don't know if I've done the 10.11.6 upgrade because the app store made me or because I saw that he needed for the Server available 5.2 version but anyway I have never seen a possibility to download the version of the Server 5.0.x and 5.1.x from the app store. I have not excluded with certainty that the app store will offer the old version of the server application to match the version of the OS, but since yesterday evening I think that it is not. After the cat and speaking to apple support today the only advice that I can move forward with, I got was download an older version of server from a 3rd party source. That comes with its obvious risks, but I managed to download the server TechGlobex 5.0.15 (link below) and I'll try again tonight. Unfortunately I must have work during the day, so I had to return my support 10.9.5. My plan is OS X update 10.9.5 10.11.4 then Server 3.2.2 to 5.0.15, check that things work ok and perform another backup, then updated to OS X 10.11.4 to 10.11.6 5.0.15 to 5.2 server monitoring. If it's all that work at this stage, I should be free upgrade to Mac OS Sierra!

    Here is the download for 5.0.15, I will post if it works for me or not

  • How can I monitor hyperic several remote sites with hyperic?

    We have implemented a hyperic server in AWS.

    We have a lot of remote sites with a server on site. Each site has its own public static IP address.

    Here is how we have implemented hyperic right now:

    agent.setup.camIP = static public IP of the server in AWS

    agent.setup.camPort = 7080

    agent.setup.camSSLPort = 7443

    agent.setup.camSecure = yes

    agent.setup.camLogin = login

    agent.setup.camPword = pass

    IP #agent.setup.agentIP = public site

    agent.setup.agentPort = 2144

    #agent.setup.resetupTokens = no

    agent.setup.acceptUnverifiedCertificate = yes

    At each site, we have a router that port forwarding on the server. If each server is behind a router and has private static IP such as 192.168.30.101

    We have no problem setting up hyperic on the local server, the problem is that Hyperic HQ is overwhelming the servers. He takes the static private ip address and keep overwriting the latest version of the server.

    Even if we have different server names and the public IP address different when we put in place the agent, once we have put in place the agent and he start shooting the metrics, hyperic just replaces the last installed server monitoring.

    any way to disable the IP address local hyperic traction?

    This could be referred as "PIN to a specific IP address" that is required when a platform has multiple NICs or IP address addresses and is accomplished by adding additional guidance to the agent.properties file. Because you specified a specific port of installation, it is better to pin which as well.

    agent.listenIp =
    agent.listenPort = 2144

    I suggest that you also uncomment:

    #agent.setup.agentIP =

    as well as (properly defined):

    #agent.setup.unidirectional = no

    The setting is described in the header section of the agent.properties file.

    # Agent configuration file
    #
    # The following is the properties of the Agent recognizes:
    #
    # agent.listenPort
    # Default: "2144.
    #
    # Description: Port that listens to the agent.
    #
    # agent.listenIp
    # Default: «*»
    #
    # Description: Address that the agent to listen.  If the value "*",
    # the agent will listen on all available interfaces.

    1.), you now have:

    agent.setup.camIP = static public IP of the server in AWS
    agent.setup.camPort = 7080
    agent.setup.camSSLPort = 7443
    agent.setup.camSecure = yes
    agent.setup.camLogin = login
    agent.setup.camPword = pass
    IP #agent.setup.agentIP = public site
    agent.setup.agentPort = 2144
    #agent.setup.resetupTokens = no
    agent.setup.acceptUnverifiedCertificate = yes

    2.) stop of the agent:

    3.) change this option and add the additional guidance.

    agent.setup.camIP = static public IP of the server in AWS
    agent.setup.camPort = 7080
    agent.setup.camSSLPort = 7443
    agent.setup.camSecure = yes
    agent.setup.camLogin = login
    agent.setup.camPword = pass
    IP agent.setup.agentIP = public site
    agent.setup.agentPort = 2144
    agent.setup.resetupTokens = no
    agent.setup.acceptUnverifiedCertificate = yes
    IP agent.listenIp = public site
    agent.listenPort = 2144

    4.) remove the agent data directory (it is re-created later start)

    5.) restart the agent (this will trigger a reconfigure)

    6.) I accept agent inventory

  • Linux for SQL Server: ORA-28545: error diagnosed by Net8

    Hi guys,.

    I am getting confused with the steps to follow for this because the Oracle documentation is less than the normal ("HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO = dns" is not enough for example) and different Articles/forum messages saying different things.

    I am trying to connect to Oracle 11.2.0.3 on Linux (64) to a SQL Server 2008 R2 on x 64 with a database named DBA_Housekeeping. Does anyone have a clear guide to the steps (and where)? Can you see what I'm doing wrong here?

    Oracle hostname: gblabl76

    SQL Server hostname: UKAHES066

    I did all the steps are on the Oracle server. I didn't something on the SQL Server (am I supposed to install a client/drivers there?):

    1 created initDBA_Housekeeping.ora in $ORACLE_HOME/hs/admin /.

    HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO = "UKAHES066\\UKAHES066.DBA_Housekeeping"
    HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = OFF
    #HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME =

    2 added something to the listener.ora on the oracle server & then start the listener (of the said State UNKNOWN):

    MSSQL = (DESCRIPTION =(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = gblabl76)(PORT = 1523)))
    SID_LIST_MSSQL =
      (SID_LIST =
       (SID_DESC =
          (SID_NAME = DBA_Housekeeping)
          (ORACLE_HOME = /oracle/product/11.2.0.3/db_1)
          (PROGRAM = dg4odbc)
        )
      )

    3. Add a tnsnames file entry:

    DBA_Housekeeping =
      (DESCRIPTION =
        (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = EXTPROC1521))
        (CONNECT_DATA = (SID = DBA_Housekeeping))
            (HS=OK)
        )
      )

    4 creates a connection to the SQL Server default for this database instance. Then, I created a link of database in Oracle:

    CREATE PUBLIC DATABASE LINK DBA_Housekeeping CONNECT TO "hkadm" IDENTIFIED BY "hkadm" USING 'DBA_Housekeeping';

    But when I try to query the database through a db connection I get the error listed. Anyone see where I am going wrong?

    Do I need to install the drivers on Windows Server (and requires a reboot?)?

    I have to create this DNS thing or matches the string in the hs .ora enough?

    Thanks for the tips: s I hope to connect to our SQL instances server so they can be monitored by their SUMMIT.

    Mike

    Those who seek to connect to Oracle & SQL Server I want to give you the best solution to your problem.

    Use a server linked server SQL for Oracle (push rather than pull).

    If you do just a server then you could do directly. However, if you plan to use several servers, then you must create a SQL Server repository (it could be the free Express version) that will store the data of all your SQL Server databases and then passes Oracle.

    The reason why I did this original post is because I want to store data in our Oracle APEX SQL Server monitoring system. I lost a day trying to trawl through the net for specific instructions for setting up (before Klaus answered me here). It took me less than an hour to select from & insert into an Oracle database in the opposite direction.

    1 install the Oracle client on the instance of SQL Server

    2. If suppliers (under related servers) does not list Oracle then reboot the server (ideally your new repository SQL Server); If she's already then skip this step.

    3. Add an entry for your new DB Oracle TNSNames file

    4 create a server associated with the oracle credentials

    That's all that is needed for a working solution. Yesterday I had nothing, today, I have a link will:

    Many MSSQL isntances-> repository MSSQL-> repository Oracle APEX
