  I have a laptop Satellite A100 - 237 (PSAA9). I recently updated my BIOS of 1.20 to 2.00 because the unit cannot detach confirmation. After the update, I noticed that the fan of the laptop is still at the average speed to high independently operating environment, CPU load, etc.. It keeps spinning and spinning and my CPU temperature is much higher than before, still at about 57-58 C.

  Now, I don't have a clear idea what, exactly, are the limits of the operating temperature normal for my CPU (Centrino Duo 1.83 GHz) but I guess 57-58 C is a little higher. I do not suffer slowdowns or spontaneous reboots or the camera, the unit performs all also large, but heat becomes distress after a while and I'm afraid that I can run in VERY SOON heat-related problems. The unit cools pretty quickly - down a bit - and when I put it to sleep, but after session restore heat accumulate again.   2. There is a demand to add a new disk to existing diskgroup

  3. all CRS, ASM and RAC is in the online state

  I installed the version of piphany OVF vCloud on my ESXi. I managed to install all compontes, including organzization & VDC.

  No error spoted in my settings.

  I'm alwayes when you try to run vApps/VM this error:

  What resource is missing? I have downloadable storage... so what is the case.

  I don't know where to look... I tried to change the virtual machine hardware settings, has not solved the problem.

  First off the coast of never change in vCenter which controls the vCD. It can really mess up your environment. I made this mistake when testing vCD 1.0 and 1.5 to try to match some of the things we were doing in the laboratory Manager.

  Then, don't worry ESXi nested because it's the same concepts, once you get the operational environment.  We run in our test environment of this way as well and didn't have any problems.

  What resources your ESXi (those nested used by vCD) hosts have in the measure of the number of vCPU (and speed) and the amount of memory?  How are other virtual machines running on them (such as your cell of vCD, vCenter, POSSIBLE, etc...)?

  As much as your benefits I guarantee that many resources to the virtual machine.  In our software development environment we guarantee only 10% of CPU/memory and we validate vCPU speed to the ESXi servers.  Looks like your screenshot, you have only capacity for 3.95 GHz but you have allocated 3.5 for the first virtual machine. At that time there you won't able to launch virtual machines more.  If guarantee you only 10%, you will be able to turn up more.  Given that you test just the product I wouldn't worry CPU contention at this point.  When you get into production, you will have more resources to fix this.  You are other options is to add more vCPU to your nested ESXi hosts.

• Running Windows 7 64 bit, sophos av, 13.0.1 firefox cannot download some add-ons.

  The operating environment is summaarised in the question. Particularly I can't download and install the add-on Forecastfox (and one or two others). Using the installation option, I get a message saying: "there was an error in download forecastfox weather."

  If I go to the website http://www.getforecastfox.com/ and try to download from there I get an error of connection on addons.mozilla.com.

  I will still investigate on what happens with Zone Alarm and see if there's somehow it can be set so that it does not prevent me from using my PC as I want.

  Develop 32-bit is more universal and generally recommended.

  It is on the same computer.  The PC has the standard COMPUTER stuff.  VIper and they handle most of the firewall settings (windows).  I have turned them all off before installing.  I think it was a matter of execution engine.  I have no time to fight with LabView, so I uninstalled all LabView!  Then I made a new installation of the DVD.  This works.  I never install a patch of NOR without a week of free time!  In others, ever!  Whenever I do it, it takes me at least a day to get my operating environment!  Thanks for your time.  It is appreciated.

• Specs of the device control construction

  Dear Sir:

  I am trying to build a program of control of work *.exe instrument.  It is a simple program interviewing my instrument test with a * IDN? command.

  The program fails to call my instrument driver and the program runs also started when (running under normal conditions), he has to wait for me to enter my test instrument GPIB address.

  Let's start with the failure of Labview to communicate with the pilot of the aircraft.   This is general information.

  When I run the program as simple *.VI in the Labview environment, the program works perfectly.    No problems.

  When I use Agilent connection Expert or MAX to connect to the test instrument, communication is established and there is no problem - I got a response, the connection is established.

  After I created the *.VI one *. Program EXE, this is where to ask questions of the program.

  The *. EXE program fails to properly initialize and fails to establish connectivity with my test instrument.

  Here are some questions that I noticed on the running program *. EXE mode

  (1) the program works on "getting started" when you click on the *. EXE program.   In *.VI mode, the program does not run at startup but is waiting for the user to enter the test instrument - the program GPIB address is designed to be activated by the user.

  I don't think that it is the source of the problem, but only an incidental consequence of the problem.   If I stop the program and enter the GPIB address, I get a message of not being able to communicate to the driver.

  (2) once the *. EXE program is running, there is a condition that the operating system is unable to close the program and restart WINDOWS itself cannot itself unless I have manually close all programs related to the *. EXE program in the WINDOWS operating environment.

  (3) in the case of the labview program and *. EXE program are closed, but the operating system is still running, Agilent connection Expert and MAX can no longer communicate with the test instrument.   They no longer see the test instrument.

  It is obvious that the *. EXE program makes a change that is originally from the operating system to "hang" during shutdown and also prevents other programs to work as they should.

  In my view, that the source of my problem may be how I programmed my generation specifications.     In its response, can you please tell me what are the minimum requirements for the specification of version so that my test instrument can meet a simple * IDN? query?   What files are normally required for a successful build?

  Other information about the source of my questions are welcome as well.

  Thank you for your comments.   I can see why you were led to believe that my code was vexed, but it wasn't the case.

  The solution proved to be to change my settings from file source to the specifications of my generation.   I had to customize the properties of VI to not run when the program open and allow the user to close the VI.   The initial default settings are very inconvenient for new LABVIEW users, like me.

• PXI-8184 Altitude Limitations?

  I just noticed on page A-2 of the PXI-8184 manual altitude operating environment is limited to 2000 m @ 25 C room temperature (6561 ft @ 77 F). This is strictly due to the reduction of efficiency of cooling by convection in an atmosphere that is less dense? I'm curious because I will operate my system to 9,000 feet for a few weeks...

  The reason that your device is listed with a maximum altitude of 2000 m is because it's the UL certification official test level we've been through. Unfortunately this means that we cannot recommend the use of the card above 2000 m. I looked into it a bit further and this limitation is not only due to cooling, but also because of concerns about

  Dielectric breakdown possible issues that can lead to dangerous risks, which means that the capacitors in the system may not work properly at altitude.

• Getting old product registration for use on an old stand-alone computer

  I have an old computer runs under windows 95 and on this computer, I'm under office 2000.  For some unknown reason the Bureau now requires a confirmation code to run... But I want to run this computer on a completely independent basis as a kind of support for training and I don't want it to be web connected.  I could load my office 2003 suite, but it is not compatible with windows 95.

• Roles of server separate from the virtual machine on a server?

  I'm currently learning the server admin so please forgive my ignorance.

  I bought a server and got Win Server R2 2012. Im trying to focus by trial and error and so want to install multiple roles - that I know is not recommended because some may conflict or cause additional problems etc etc - I am not in an operational environment, but trying to imitate such.

  I've read elsewhere that you can put different roles of server on the individual virtual machines - say, for example, the print server role is on a VM that is separate to a file server role, and she needs to be restarted or goes down for some reason any you loose a single service.

  My questions are the following:

  Is this possible?

  Is this desirable?

  Whats software is used to implement this if yes?

  Hyper-V can be used?
