  SOLVED.

  Apparently, something happened to severely corrupt my admin account last night. Do not know what it was, but using a new admin account, or restore the admin account from a backup cured this issue for me.

  If you remove the usb pen what happens?

  If you try to boot to the operating system, what happens?

  Installed all the drivers for windows 7?

  I suggest to install the application in clean boot mode and check if you are able to install the program or not.

  Don't forget to unplug the USB and uninstall any incompatible software from your PC, the original CD is not designed for Windows 8, any operating system is listed on the CD.
