opinion and custom reports

Hi all

I work hard on creating custom views / reports for clients.

I wish I could customize them like:

* When you build a custom report, is it possible to remove the first default pages (display / policy settings)?

* It is possible to mix in a view, a table and a chart?

Thks,

Vinny

* When you build a custom report, is it possible to remove the first default pages (display / policy settings)?

[AlexD] NO.

* It is possible to mix in a view, a table & a chart?

[AlexD] No, you need two separate views for this.

    Hello

I finally had the time to install VCO and LCM and I am about to see what he can do for us.

What makes MCL attractive for us is decommissioning automated virtual machines.

The other thing, we are very interested is in charge and reports.

However, after a brief play with LCM seems a bit limited in load and functionality of reports.

First in charge, the only place where I can put the load is at a level of model. I see a few problems with this.

Our pricing will rely essentially on the amount of RAM. This seems to mean that I need to

create a template for each possible RAM configuration and assign a cost to this model.

It would have been easier if I could indicate the cost and required RAM on the custimaztion option. Seems to work well for CPU but not possible for RAM.

Second statement, it doesn't seem to be sufficiently flexible. When I run a report cost for example it still shows VMs that have been downgraded.

I would like to customize the reports. Is it possible directly? I guess I can work with the XML file, but that's not ideal either.

Can Orchestrator help out me? VChargeback would be better for the load?

    See you soon

Please consider my response as 'useful' or 'proper' marking

Yes, LCM did a great job when it comes of the request, approval, commissioning, and auto-off service of Virtual Machines... but you're right, it is weak in the area of notification and chargeback. VMware Chargeback would certainly be a much better solution for the part internal billing of your solution.

LCM reports are indeed limited, and creation of custom reports must be made through the vCenter Orchestrator Client. It's a bit of a process to create new reports and to make them display correctly in LCM, and there is no control over the order of the columns created Custom reports.

  • OBIEE 11 G and custom reports

I went to a presentation the other day about the new 11G. One of the things they said is that if you have custom reports and custom themes, you must re-create them after you have upgraded. The upgrade is supposed to destroy. I hope that I misunderstood.

We keep all of our custom reports and dashboards in a folder in the catalog separate from outside of the edge of the box.

We have created new areas with our own standard of naming separate from the outside of the box areas.

When we improve, I really lose all the work we have already done? My dashboards will disappear? My reports will disappear? Can I import them back somehow?

    Panic'd to KC,
    B

    Hello

But I still don't know if my custom reports will be upgraded too, otherwise they will be deleted.

Reports of will not be deleted, but some reports may not run correctly... Many tests must be done...

    From the blog...
We cannot wait for all the reports to start working out of the box immediately after an upgrade. Good amount of tests is necessary to ensure that all former applications most commonly used reports are working without any major problems. Also, not all reports would have migrated transparently because of significant changes in versions which does not recognize the utility.

  • views and custom reports

    Hi all

I am working on a custom view & report for groups, I used for the test of the "CustomViewsAndReports.xml" provided.

The creation through vcops - viewsreports.sh is OK:

    Total views: 3

    Creation View::VCOps.BadgesAndCounts

Creation of Trend View VCOps.BadgesAndCounts for data center

View trend created for data center VCOps.BadgesAndCounts

    ....

    reports are created in too:

    Report: VCOps.AllCustomViews

    Report for data center

Added dc/VCOps.BadgesAndCounts view of the report

But after glancing vsphere-ui & choose a data center:

in views, I see new postings, but the names of row or column/description/titles are not displayed

for example 'dc/VCOps.VMListBadges/table/title' instead of 'KP '. FancyVMList title.

in the reports, I can't see all reports

    Thks,

    Vinny

Have you tried to restart VCOps services?

    Hello mikegrimesWQ,

Because it looks like you have reinstalled Windows XP, what happens when you turn on your computer?  Windows loads correctly and allow you to connect with success?  Have you completed all the updates of Windows since the relocation?  Do you get errors at any time?

What version of Windows XP you are using and which service pack is currently installed?  I would say confirming all your drivers are recognized and updated.

How to download updates that include drivers and hotfixes from the Windows Update Catalog

    Please let us know status.

    Hello Jenna.

There isn't any doc separate registration custom app.

Unique doc ' Creation of a custom in Oracle E-Business Suite version 12.2 Application (Doc ID 1577707.1) "should take care of the creation of custom applications and recording as well.

But, you must examine and use two documents Doc ID 1577661.1 & above for creating and using custom application/custom high doc.

I want to create a customized report detailing Top Conversations for each of my network devices together. However, I want to exclude a certain application.

Is there a way to filter this particular application? We use an application on our computers that connect to our phones. The SIP application is clogging my report and make the report Top Conversations not as useful as it could be.

    Advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Custom reports IPCCX

    Dear professionals,

I am new to creating custom reports. To my knowledge, the only way to do it is to use Crystal Reports and query the database db_cra. This database provides the most granular information available? I know that there is a document database IPCCX schema, however, is there a document that describes the existing stored procedures?

    Thank you very much.

  • HASH value in a custom report

    Hello

I created a custom report for Top SQL on a monitored by Foglight Oracle DB. During the creation, for the input data, I check the HASH value. OK, it shows HASH values, but the format is not identical to the database.

In the database, I have for example 432647

    but in Foglight report I 45 M or 67G.

I am amazed. What is the problem with my report?

    Thank you.

It looks like an inappropriate rendering engine has been configured for this area of the custom report. Did you leave the default rendering engine? If so, try some of the other converters and see if you get a better result.

    Kind regards

  • Share customized reports

I just took a class from insight Analyzer and told me that if I created a folder and placed reports customized in there I can share with the team, but I followed his instructions and my team is unable to see the reports.

Anyone know how I can do?

Ensure that you have create and save your reports in the custom folder. Each instance Eloqua will have a custom reports folder located in "reports and dashboards. The default folder is called "Custom_ [your site ID] ' but can be renamed.

After you have created your report, click on save or save as and then click the drop-down menu below so that you can select "Reports and dashboards" and then select the path to the custom reports folder.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you save your report to the creation in the folder 'My reports' (it is a record of personal relationships) and later move your report in the public folder, you will always be the only user who will be able to see the report.

It is also applied to any of the custom filters or the guests that you create to ensure that everything you want to share, you save custom public folder.

  • supermetrics & vcops custom report

    Hi all

I have a custom report in which I show a Supermetric.

    How can I do?

The supermetric does not appear in the describe.xml file and its definition can be found in the database of the user interface.

So, how can I put the supermetric in the user_ciq_metrics_collected.xml file?

    Thank you

    IG

Unfortunately, this is not a very easy and simple process. But here's what you can do.

Transfer Super-metrique involves the following steps:

    • Create package great metric attribute and assign it to the resource type. For more information about the metric development super pls. refer to the documentation of great metrics available in the custom user interface.
    • Ensure that the metrics super created appears in the section "all measures".
    • Find great key of DB alivevm metrics.
(You can use the following address to execute DB queries: https:///vcops-custom/dbAccessQuery.action)
    select distinct attr_key from attributekey ak,resourceglobalkey rk where ak.attrkey_id=rk.attrkeyid and rk.supermetricid IN(select id from supermetric where name LIKE '%XXX%');

    • Update the file user_ciq_metrics_collected.xml in the Analytics and the UI VM using the great metric.
    • Create the xml file using the great metric to generate customizable view/report.

Let us know if it works for you?

    Thank you

  • SSRS / Custom reports - see the error model

    Hello

There is a problem in the custom report module (SSRS), the reports were works in version 6.0, but we get the error on the same report 6.1.

When we tried to bebug the problem, we have found that the custom viewmodel used in the search for the EQT question.

For example the model EQT visibility does not work.
    Example:

    < Type ParameterType = "PkgSpec" webControl = "ReportingControls/EQTInput.ascx" >

    < model displayVariableIndex '1' = > SearchableView:Config:ProdikaSettings/EQTConfiguration/GSMsvSearchableMultiSelectViews, PackagingSpecViewSingleSelect < / template >

    < / ParameterType >

    Error information:

Object reference is not set to an instance of an object.

    Description:
An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web
request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and
    originated in the code.

    Exception details:
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of a
    object.

However, a different point of view model works fine 6.1 and 6.0:

    < Type ParameterType = 'Installation' webControl = "ReportingControls/EQTInput.ascx" >

    < model displayVariableIndex '1' = > SearchableView:Config:ProdikaSettings/EQTConfiguration/PQSSearchableMultiSelectViews, FacilityViewSingleSelect < / template >

    < / ParameterType >

Wait for the viewmodel change there is no difference between these two configuration of custom report, please let us know, how to solve this problem.

    Kind regards
    Kumar

Thank you Ivy for us help. We have finally solved this problem, because others benefit I he explains here. Let know if any additional question,

    a. the personalized view eqt file was missing and that we compared and added the custom view

    b. looks like that view reference for custom eqt rose from prodikareporting to webcommon in version 6.1. So, we have updated this reference

  • Include the attribute custom report using the disc

I'm to customize a script provided by Alan Renouf in his PowerGUI Powerpack.  The script I'm customization in the Powerpack is named 'VM disk sizes.

His screenplay does everything we need from a point of view of output except that we can also include a custom attribute (Custom Field) VM as well as the information of the disk space.  I have included the below custom script, please note that this is a script/PowerGUI PowerPack we customize but was initially written and provided by Alan Renouf and all credit for this original work must be given to Alan.

I have included our custom below script and have "in bold Red" line in the script that does not work:

    $AllVMs = get-View - ViewType VirtualMachine. Where {-not $_.} Config.Template}
    $SortedVMs = $AllVMs | Select *, @{N = "NumDisks"; E={@($_. Guest.Disk.Length)}} | Sort-Object-down NumDisks
    {ForEach ($VM to $SortedVMs)
    $Details = new-object PSObject
    $Details | Add-Member-Name name-value $VM.name - Membertype NoteProperty
    $Details | Add-Member - MemberType NoteProperty-name CustomFields-value (($VM.)) CustomFields | %{"$($_. Key) = $($_.) (Value)'}) - join ',')
    $DiskNum = 0
    Foreach ($disk in $VM. Guest.Disk) {}
    $Details | Add-Member-name "drive$ ($DiskNum) path"-MemberType NoteProperty-value $Disk.DiskPath
    $Details | Add-Member-Name "Disk$ ($DiskNum) Capacity (MB)"-MemberType NoteProperty-value ([math]: round ($disk.) Capacity / 1 MB))
    $Details | Add-Member-Name "Disk$ ($DiskNum) FreeSpace (MB)"-MemberType NoteProperty-value ([math]: round ($disk.) FreeSpace / 1 MB))
    $DiskNum ++
    } # end foreach nested
    $Details.PSTypeNames.Clear)
    $Details.PSTypeNames.Add ('Virtu-al'.PowerPack.VMGuestDisks) '
    $Details.PSTypeNames.Add ('Virtu-al'.PowerPack.VM) '
    $Details
    } # end foreach

When you use the Get view as seen on the first line of the script, it appears the CustomField information not available in the generated view.  How to develop the view to include CustomFields/CustomAttributes for each virtual computer in our environment and then report on their subject?

Please let me know if I did a poor job explaining the scenario and what I'm after here.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hello, jSun311-

Yes, you are right - there is no such thing as the "CustomFields" property on a managed object VirtualMachine .  You can always get the names and the corresponding values of the custom fields, you just have a little.  For example, you could change the line to:

    ...## make a comma-separated string that holds the custom field key/value pairs, like "cust0 = myValue0,cust1 = myDateInfo"$Details | Add-Member -MemberType NoteProperty -Name CustomFields -Value (($VM.Value | %{$oCustFieldStrValue = $_; "{0} = {1}" -f ($VM.AvailableField | ?{$_.Key -eq $oCustFieldStrValue.Key}).Name, $oCustFieldStrValue.Value}) -join ",")...

and you should be happy as a clam.

BTW, this call Get-view on your first line could be optimized a little using the - Filter parameter, like:

    $AllVMs = Get-View -ViewType VirtualMachine -Filter @{"Config.Template" = "false"}

Pretty minimal in this case, but can be very useful in other scenarios of Get-View.  And, you may want to retrieve only the properties of the managed VirtualMachine object that you plan to use, so that the memory usage is reduced to the minimum, speed is optimized, etc. (do you this by using the - Get-mode property param).

Anyway, how does do for you?

  • Essential support for creating custom reports on "Openmanage" using "Essentials" command line Interface

    Good afternoon

Please can you help to create custom reports in "Essential Openmanage" using "Essentials" command line Interface

The default reports are not feasible.

Hi there Oswaldo and thank you for the question.

Currently, OME 1.3 doesn't have a custom report generator.  I don't think that the CLI help as it is mainly used to set up from the beaches of discovery and things like that.

There is a REST API that _may_ allow to return by the data of the database of the MEO program.  The REST API guide is in the section of the Documentation on the Dell TechCenter for OME page.
