• DAQ + DAC... OR PCI-6143 + PCI-6731 vs only PCI-6229?

  Hi, I try to control a XYZ stage using a feedback program in LabVIEW and wonder about my computer card options for the acquisition of analog data (1) analog inputs and 2 digital outputs.

  One suggestion I've gotten is the NI PCI-6143 of data acquisition of analog inputs, more the NI PCI-6731 for digital output to analog.

  However, I wonder if the NI PCI-6229 can do the same thing that these 2 cards together can do and for a fraction of their price. The only question I can foresee is a slower rate with the PCI-6229. Other problems with this idea?

  The PCI-6229 looks like it would be ideal for your situation.  According to the two connectors are concerned, the 6229 has two front end connectors.  If you check the 622 x specifications OR and look at the stitching down, you can see what is sent to each connector.  Since you need 3 analog outputs, you'll need a cable and a block of endings for the second connector as two of the AO signals are on each connector. For cost-efficiency, if the noise is less of a factor for the signals of the AO, you might consider the block of CB-68LP-unshielded endings for the second connection.

  As far as the compatibility of the PI functions are concerned, it is likely that they will work, but PI would be able to answer this question the best.

  Almost a year ago, I bought a Toshiba Satellite A500-1GH.
  I can't say that I'm not satisfied with the computer or the company.

  The problems I had was the display problem (stops working for seconds) which was the problem of software (updated nVidia 8.16.11.8875) and with the HARD disk that works to stop but the company changed with a new one.

  Now, I wanted to spend the second module of memory from 2 GB to 4 GB so I can have 2 x 4 GB, but when I open the memory compartment, I saw an empty PCI home with JGPS sign beside them.
  Does anyone know what it is?

  Perhaps this connector would be shared by 3G miniPCI card.

  I got my hands on a Mac Pro 2006 earlier from a friend. I used it as a BESTIAL Server (seriously, this thing is not so much as breaking a sweat even when I throw it the more difficult task.) I love this machine) since I got it, and I think I want to do the updates. My plan so far is to get multiple mounting OWC to pick up the second drive Bay currently vacant DVD and install two 120 GB Samsung 850 EVO drives in RAID 0, while using the real HARD disk bays for a RAID 10 array (nested RAID: two RAID 1 arrays brought together in a RAID 0 array) of four 2 TB red WD drives and use two 250 GB hard drives currently in the machine in an external case in a matrix RAID 1 for backup. I'm pretty happy on this issue.

  My question concerns what interface to use for external drives of 250 GB. I can use:

  • USB 2.0 currently on the machine
  • FireWire 800 currently on the machine
  • a PCIe USB 3.0 card
  • a PCIe card with eSATA

  That we will get the faster speeds? I know that, theoretically, eSATA would get faster speeds (6 Gbps eSATA vs 5 Gbit/s USB 3.0 vs 800 Mbps, Firewire 800 vs 480 Mbps USB 2.0), however I know also (maybe?) that the Mac Pro I have only has grooves in v PCIe 1.1, with a (supposed) 250 MB/s maximum data transfer rate. would this bottleneck a PCIe USB 3.0 or eSATA card not worth?

  Note: don't worry all "Mac compatibility" with PCIe cards (or the table RAID scheme I mentioned). I am running Ubuntu Server (64 bit) on the machine, and given that the Linux kernel supports much more conductive than Mac OS X, I probably don't need to look at all the other drivers. This issue is specific to the hardware capabilities of the Mac Pro.

  Probably the most simple installation, you can do is to install the eSATA extender cable adapter.

  You can use the module of the Action to execute an external program, including a command-line copy command.

  The switch would then connect to the Action.

  The normal program of DASYLab cannot confirm the existence of a player. You can write a batch script to do all this and start using the plug-in Action.

  The development of the new API is pretty well done, but based on your feedback, we are planning to improve compatibility, so you can for example use the old APi 1.6.x and the new APi of 8532 on the same machine, so you can use the old and the new material on this same machine.   To clarify the situation today: The InCOM for Devicenet component is not part of LabVIEW. It's just a very simple means of communication with the I/o variables and blocks of function for the MS. The driver should install fine even without installed LV. The error message is quite a Bug on our side, and the solution would be to use the Builder installer LV to create a new installer that can install 2.0.x Incom Dnet driver without having installed Lv.

  And today, you should be able to have the 1.6.x both pilot 2.0.x in parallel and use the API 1.6.x with old boards yonce and the variable approach of IO 2.0.x with your new Board of Directors.

  I'll keep this post updated as soon as we have a stable Beta available I'll post something.

  I'm reading the pulse signal of USB-Quad08 with Dasylab V10, but every time I got the error message "this Committee has no meter 9513.

  I have configured the jury with Instacal and the test hardware is ok. I used the module 'Entry meter' (Modules--> inputs / outputs--> MCC - DAQ--> Counter Input) to read the signal of the channel meter. "Entry 9513 counter" displayed and I na not change settings. After connecting a graphic recorder module I run the application. The error message appeared.

  I noticed that USB-Quad08 Council has counter 9513. But why the error occurs?  How can I get his channel encoder signal?

  PS. I can get with Dasylab DIO signals, but I can't any signal with TracerDAQ, even I can't find USB-Quad08 in his list of DAQ devices.

• NI-VISA PCI driver with interruption detection

  I am new to PCI and PCI driver, a problem when using the driver NI-VISA to program a PCI driver with the detection of the interruption.

  One of the first steps in the document is to call the AI_Configure command to set the input mode, beach, etc. I'm using LabVIEW 8.5 with the NOR-DAQmx software, and I can not find the command (which, in LabVIEW, seems to be "AI Config.vi") anywhere. The calibration paper was written in 2003, and I gather from Google searches (please, correct me if wrong) that this command is actually a part of NOR-DAQ traditional, who was replaced by driver OR DAQmx.

  My question is this: what is the equivalent to AI_Configure command in the latest software? Is it perhaps a subsequent document describing how to calibrate using NOR-DAQmx?

  I use a card PCI-6602 with CVI 8.5 and I need trig on the event.

  On each pulse, I received, I need to do some actions like increasing a counter, send a message to Rs232 etc... I want to do no loop by checking that the value of the counter has changed. I would use a reminder to run this code only on the value of edge or a counter event.

  My problem is that I don't know what function for this. Is it possible to get an event on a pci-6602?

  I just bought the 24-bit USB-2416 of Mastec in New Zealand.  They said he was "totally supported" by dasylab.  But I can't go past go.

  I installed the software instacal and tracedaq that came with it and that works well with this device, well I don't see 8 of the 16 floating channels.  If the material is ok.  I'd better get it going because my boss is already asking for results.

  Looks like you need to re install DASYLab and ensuring that you select the MCC pilots.

  After this, you should see MCC in the list.

• Synchronization of a PCI-5114 with a USB-6229

  Hello

  I'm doing several measures with a couple of scanners OR: the first is a PCI-5114 who reads a signal using the maximum sampling frequency of the 5114.  It works currently, and is triggered by a digital pulse at 1 Hz.

  Secondly, I have 5 other channels, and I want to measure the maximum voltage on each (analog inputs), at the time the PCI-5114 saves the data.  My thought was that I could have the USB-6229 reading data continuously, then 5114 triggers, once I read the files ~ 1000 previous of the 6229.  I'm not sure it will work, because I can't be sure that the data the 6229 collects will be the same time as the data that the 5114 collects.  Is there a smart way to ensure that is the case? (external clocks, exported triggers the 5114... I do not know what are the options)

  For full disclosure, I have 8 digital outputs through the same USB-6229.

  Furthermore, if there is a good way to measure the max of each of my 5 channels without having to download 1000's of data points, which would also work.

  Hi Karl,

  The reference of 6229 media triggering (manual link), if you could start it off the same signal of 1 Hz you use to trigger your scope.  You can specify the sampling frequency, number of samples and number of samples to relax pre - this should allow you to correlate your acquisition on the map of data acquisition to the time window even that your scope is acquiring data.  The clocks would still be independent, but I don't think it matters too much because you are triggering the same external signal every second.

  After that the DAQ trigger card you will need to re - start the task in software to re - arm (something like in This example), but the interval of 1 Hz should be more than enough to do this.

• Card PCI-6225 with module CSC-68 and tc02 on connector 1

  I have a pci-6225 card attached to a scc-68 with a TC02 module for temperature.  If I connect to connector 0 on the map of 6225, everything works well.  But if I connect to the connector 1 I get a signal floating between 100 and 200 instead of the actual temperature.

  I have connected the scc-68 to a PCI-6229 map and it works on the connector 0 and 1 with no problems.  So is it possible to get the scc-68 work on connector 0 map 6225?  The card passes, it's self, then I'll try to figure out what could be wrong with port 1.

  I just understood why it does not work on the terminal block 1 of 6225 map.  There is no power supply + 5v on connector 1, only the connector 0.

  So for a quick test, I took the + 5v of the scb-68 on slot 0 to scc-68 Connector 1 power on and it seems to work so far.
