ORA-00205: error in identifying controlfile, see log alerts for more information

Hello

I would like to restore a database to another server

source server: oracle 9.2.0.6.0/solaris

in the destination server, I installed oracle 9.2.0.1 (only software) and applied the Patch Release 2 (9.2.0.6)

I restored all the files data, redolog, controlfiles (cold backup) to the destination server and kept all the files in the required path:

in the destination server:

bash-3. $00 sqlplus "virtue sysdba".

You can also try your init.ora of edition and leaving only control01.ctl (remove control02.ctl and control03.ctl of the parameter control_files).

    What happened when you checked the log of alerts for more information? What did you find? These files exist? .dbf is a much more commonly associated with a data file - extension doesn't want not to say, he cannot be a control file, but that does not match a naming convention, I have never seen used.

    Hi gregoryandme,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1: Uninstall and reinstall the Adobe photo shop program.

    Method 2: Perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 7 the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

  • What is the meaning of the curve of points returned by entirePath()? [See the description for more information]

    The entirePath() of a polygon returned these points. As specified in a different thread, we have established that the order is leftControlPoint anchorPoint rightControlPoint if there are control points in all. Otherwise, it's just the anchor.

    Screen Shot 2015-10-12 at 12.35.48.png

    The question I have here is, consider line 3, the control points, they represent the control points for the Bezier curve between point to line 2 and 3-point line or a Bezier curve between point to line 3 and line 4?

    Thank you!

    Nice link, Trevor, thank you.

    So in the previous example, this form:

    ctx.moveTo (20,20);

    ctx.bezierCurveTo (20,100,200,100,200,20);

    corresponds to the shape you get in InDesign with this script:

    g = app.documents [0] .pages [0].graphicLines.add ({strokeWeight: 0.5});

    g.Paths [0] .entirePath =

    [

    [[20: 20], [20: 20], [20, 100]],.

    [[200, 100], [200, 20], [200, 20]].

    ];

    The curve has two anchors. First anchor 20,20; no handle, i.e. the incoming handle's anchor. The second point has no outgoing handle.

    To translate the way InDesign to HTML, make a moveTo for anchor of first coast (myCurve.paths [0] .pathPoints [0] .anchor).

    From there, you can work out how to proceed.

    Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.  As the question you posted typically associated with third party software / application that has its own way of program codes and call the corresponding system resources when installing and running. Therefore, I also suggest you to join the VMware Forums for the best support.

    VMware communities: http://communities.vmware.com/home.jspa

    In the meantime I suggest you try these options / methods

    IMPORTANT NOTE: Microsoft provides this information as a convenience to you. Proposed changes could lead to serious problems. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems would be solved as a result of the suggestions. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    Option 1: If you go to computer management, and then to the list of Services and find the VMware authorization Service, it appears as stopped? If so, you need to start

    Option 2: Try logging on as an administrator Local host during installation first workstation, rather than you connect with a domain ID

    Option 3: The question can be caused also by your security program such an antivirus or a firewall of Windows /Defender that can have conflicting parameters as to not not to perform certain tasks. I suggest you temporary disable antivirus and firewall and check the result again. You must enable security programs new that had disabled you

    Option 4: The problem could be linked to a local or domain group policy. Make sure that the local account is defined as 'local user __vmware_user__' in the local Administrators group and the permissions of "Log on locally" and "Log on as a service.

    The two parameters are available in the "* Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment *" branch of domain group policy or local.

    Let me know if it worked.
    Hope it will be useful.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Vijay K - Microsoft Support

  • We get an error "could not create a new partition or find existing. "For more information, see the Setup log file" error message "while trying to install Windows 8

    * Original title: 8 victory moved - Error Message: failed to create new partition...

    I have Win XP on my Dell Dimension 5150, which is the dual boot with Linux Mint 12 Lisa and this is my favorite of the bunch.

    I bought the DVD of 8 Pro Windows by an Australian retailer.

    Win XP is on a 39 GB partition with other application files. I had to delete several files to get the free space necessary to WIN 8 and finally finished by formatting the partition and passes for a COMPLETE new installation.

    Unfortunately, I now get the "failed to create new partition or find existing. For more information, see the Setup log file"error message. I can't find a Setup log file that I do a boot from the DVD.

    I tried to delete all external drives and other USB devices, including my Modem but my Wired USB keyboard/mouse.

    Two internal HARD drives are as follows:
    Disk 0 Partition 1-110 GB - system (LINUX)
    Disk 0 Partition 2 - 3.5 GB - logical

    Disk 1 Partition 1 - 47 MB - OEM (reserved) [DellUtility]
    Disc 1 2:Win - 39.1 GB - System Partition
    1 3 disk partition: DATA - 39,1 GB - logical
    Disk partition 1 4:OfficeProgs - 19.5 GB - logical
    Partition on drive 1 logical - 39.1 GB - 5:PROJECTS
    etc to score 8 with 9 MB of unallocated space.

    I have tried both 64 and 32 discs with the same result.

    As I have now is no longer no matter what Windows on my computer, what's the next step? If any ;-)

    Hello

    I solved the problem. It seems that you can not install on a secondary partition with in an earlier version of windows. You must restart the computer and run the installation from a dvd or other media.  Once you get the installation running you should be able to install on another partition without any problems.

    Can someone explain to me why. Thank you

    Check your page links if the createInsert operation is present.

    Then check that the getBindings() method returns a value and not null.

  • Post installation problems, ORA-00205: error in control identiying files

    Dear all,

    On a new installation on Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.3 64-bit, I installed Oracle 11 g 1 64-Bit material. There was not a single error during installation. But DB has not been started.

    When I tried to start the DB, it gives the following error:

    ORA-00205: error in the identification of control files.

    I edited the init.ora file:

    control_files = (/ opt/app/oracle/oradata/bsserp/control01.ctl, opt/app/oracle/oradata/bsserp/control02.ctl, opt/app/oracle/oradata/bsserp/control03.ctl)

    But the error remains the same. I even recreated the PB but his will not change.

    Kindly help on that.

    Best regards, Imran

    It seems that the compatible thing worked, but now the error changed to:

    ORA-01103: name of the database "BSSERP" in the control file is not "DEFAULT".

    Can I modify the control file to change the database name. Because the database is not in a State of mounting I can't question the name of database to help:

    SELECT database name $ v the folder name is BSSERP.

    You need to replace BSSERP DB_NAME parameter (but actually it's DEFAULT), and then restart the database.

    Concerning

    KasunA

    Found a workaround.  The problem is that, before the 7695070 patch is applied, the installation program backup directory/apps/fs2/FMW_Home/webtier/jdk in /apps/fs2/FMW_Home/webtier/jdk_backup_existing_version, but then it clears. / jdk - the patch fails because it can't find it.  I had to rename the directory of the jdk for jdk2, and as soon as it gets deleted quickly and rename jdk2 jdk.  Then he applies the patches without problem.  A symbolic link would do the same thing.
