ORA-12154 error trying to connect with the customer instant g 11 / LDAP on Ubuntu

Hello

I managed to install the client instant 11.2.0.2 and sqlplus on my Ubuntu 11.04 desktop. I am able to connect successfully to DB defined in tnsnames.ora, but when the resolution is (or should be) by LDAP, I get error

ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified

Note: while it is fine for the test, it is not a viable option to configure all DB defined in the OID in tnsnames.ora - I need to use LDAP.

My configuration is:

Installation folder: / opt/oracle/instantclient_11_2
TNS_ADMIN = / opt/oracle/instantclient_11_2 /.

SQLNET.ora
NAMES. DIRECTORY_PATH = (TNSNAMES, LDAP)

I am sure that the tnsnames.ora and ldap.ora are valid, as I can connect on another machine with the full client installed successfully by using the same files.

I tried tracing facility in sqlnet.ora as follows
TRACE_LEVEL_CLIENT = SUPPORT
TRACE_DIRECTORY_CLIENT = / tmp
TRACE_FILE_CLIENT = sqlnet.trc
but not the trace file is generated in the directory/tmp - I'm doing something wrong? (Note, I also tried to set DIAG_ADR_ENABLED = OFF as suggested by Laurenz Albe in Instant client do not trace but which did not help)

I checked DocID = 359206.1 but I don't think that this applies as I am on 11 g.

It might be the return transport of the characters in the parameter files - make sure your sqlnet.ora and ldap.ora are in Unix format.

Linux vi versions tend to switch seamlessly between unix and back mode so it isn't always obvious - you can check with something like "od - c sqlnet.ora.

    Make sure that you type on your BB, it's what you type in DM. don't forget that the keyboard on your BB is different from the keyboard on your PC. Some people think they are type numbers on their BlackBerry when they are really typing the letters. For example, to use numbers on a BB you must hold the ALT for each button, you push so you have to hold the alt key while typing 1 2 3 4. If you hold down the ALT key on the BB you would really be typed all W E R S. sometimes, people will hit the ALT key once (and not hold the button) before they enter the password and then you get 1 E R S.

    I use VISTA Service Pack 2 and was able to connect to my Windows 200 server using remote desktop from my laptop. Suddenly, it doesn't work on my laptop with the error "the remote session was disconnected because there are no Desktop Client Access License remotely to this computer. Please contact the server administrator. ». I am able to access the server from another computer using my login credentials via RDP, is not a problem with the license on the server.     Like most others, I try to get 4.5 view running

    I have Vcenter 4.1 and 4.5 seen installed on Windows 2008 R2 VMs 2.

    I installed view composer 2.5 on the Vcenter server on the default port 18443.

    I have disabled the firewall on both machines to make sure can communicate.

    But when I try to connect to the server to connect to the composer I get only error while trying to connect to View Composer.

    Sorry, just to clarify, the connection to the server is a Windows Server (may be virtual) who has the login server software installed. It's in its web interface that you configure all the settings for your desktops, your pools of desktop computers and users or groups have the right to use them. Although view uses rdp to connect protocol client to view isn't just a remote desktop client.

    You also need the view-agent installed in the virtual desktop machine, you want to connect.

    Once you point the client to connect to the server, it displays all the virtual desktop that took the user with that right you authenticated. The administrator is not automatically or the right to use any desktop PC, you must manually set the rights.

    Hello.  I am trying to install a vcac6 so I can try it but I get the error message "command execution failed with unexpected error: java.security.cert.CertificateNotYetValidException" when I try to point the camera vcac on device identity when configuring SSO.  I did research autour, but found nothing.  I have confirmed that all of the communications network is good between the two.  Fix fine DNS names.  I use self CERT generated for both.

    Hello. I managed to create a custom plug-in that calls a database procedure stored for our connection procedures. However, there are situations/conditions where in a connection won't be necessary (IE login page should be displayed and he should order the homepage to immediately).

    I thought that putting these conditions/checks inside the pl_sql will take care of him, but this isn't the case. It turns out that the login page is always called before that he go to the pl_sql procedure, as we indicated in the application.xml file - orion. Now, I'm stumped on how to intercept the call to login page.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have on this issues, have worked for months and have not got a solution.

  • Error 651 trying to connect to the internet

    I am running Win7 Home Premium and and I get a 651 error trying to connect to the internet. I replaced the file rasppoe.sys with an another working Win7 pc, but this did not help. I also tried the same file from a Vista laptop but still no joy of work.

    I also disabled the connection of ivp6 nothing helps

    I use Virgin Media as my ISP access and you connect using a network modem.

    Any help would be appreciated I'm going crazy trying to fix it.

    I'm a junior dba and I was hoping if someone could help me with a problem I have. I recently installed on the oracle 10g client on my windows machine. I am trying to remote connect to my database on a unix machine, but I get error trying to connect from the client below.

    ERROR:
    ORA-00604: an error has occurred at the SQL level 1 recursive
    ORA-02248: invalid option for ALTER SESSION

    I did some searching on that and I think it might be something to do with the NLS_LANG setting maybe. I do not know if and to be honest, I'm a little lost on this.
