ORA-20000: Oracle text error: 10599-DRG: column is not indexed

Hi all

I am using Oracle 11.2, and DRG-10599 error when I used contains and have ctxsys.context index as follows:

create the table tb_nm
(
VARCHAR2 (32) nm.
addr clob
);

create index idx_addr on tb_nm (addr) indextype is ctxsys.context
parameters (' storage idx_addr lexer TEXT_LEXER sync (on commit) ");

Select * from tb_nm where contains (addr, "How are") > 0;

Any suggestion?

Thank you!

Then you have the answer. Most likely, something was wrong during the import. Let drop and re-create the index.

SY.

    It may be a matter of case sensitivity. Under linux, it is important that the database name is orcl or ORCL. But you probably knew that.

  • How to install ORACLE TEXT

    I have an Oracle (win64_11gR1_database_111070.zip) on a Windows Server 2008 x 64 installation.

    I'm trying to restore a dmp to the new oracle installation file. The dump file is created using Oracle Ent. 8.1.7.
    When you restore the dump file everything works fine until the billboards must be created.
    I get this error message:

    ORA-20000: Oracle text error:
    DRG-11422: Linguistics initialization failed
    DRG-11446: provided the base of knowledge C:\app\Administrator\product\11.1.0\db_1\ctx\data\enlx\droldUS.dat not installed file

    Research online I need to install the ORACLE TEXT. However, I am not able to find it anywhere. It supposed to happen on the companion cd, but I can't find it anywhere.

    Can someone give me just a direct link to download.

    Thank you in advance.

    I'm no expert either text, but Oracle Text is installed by default in the database. Your problem seems to be that the Knowledge Base is not installed - it should be on the examples/companion zip file. Are there instructions in the zip file?

  • (9.2.0.5.0) 9i - Oracle Text - Indexing of Oracle files on the FTP server

    I'm using Oracle 9i (9.2.0.5.0) and I cannot upgrade to a newer version of Oracle DB.
    I am new to this technology, and I have not tried it yet myself.

    I was reading some articles, documents or references on Oracle text technology and I find that Oracle text must be able to create an index of context on files residing on the FTP server.
    I also discovered that, for this purpose, a 'URL_DATASTORE' should be used.

    I'd be happy if someone can answer my question before I decide to start using this technology:
    Is there a limitation that I should be informed when creating index of context on files residing on the FTP server? (file size limit, limitation of the types of files supported)
    -In the creation of the index process are the files indexed, downloaded and copied in the Oracle database permanently or only temporarily until the index is created?
    -Everything is of incremental indexing (when I add new files in the data store that I don't have to rebuild the entire index)?
    There there a formula between context index disk size and the disk size indexed files?

    Kind regards

    Michal

    Is there a limitation that I should be informed when creating index of context on files residing on the FTP server? (file size limit, limitation of the types of files supported)
    Maximum file size is configurable up to 2 GB. No limitation on the file type from the data store itself, but if you want to process binary file list filter suported file formats will apply (see the appendix in the Administrator's guide)

    -In the creation of the index process are the files indexed, downloaded and copied in the Oracle database permanently or only temporarily until the index is created?
    That temporarily

    -Everything is of incremental indexing (when I add new files in the data store that I don't have to rebuild the entire index)?
    The question, I suspect that you see this as a robot - you expect to provide the address of an FTP site and have it look for all documents. This isn't how it works. Instead, you must place all of the URLS in a table, and text will index these URLS (and only these URLs)

    If new files are added, you must reorganize somehow having the new lines added to your table. Then the text will do an incremental update, it will not have to rebuild the entire index.

    There there a formula between context index disk size and the disk size indexed files?
    It varies a lot depending on the data types and indexing of selected options, but a typical result is that the index will be 40% of the total size of the file. However, if the documents are in the format (for example, Word, PDF) the percentage will be much smaller.

  • Using Windows Movie Maker on the error message XP__ not indexed _ bad quality

    I use Windows Movie Maker XP (version 2.1?).  I've converted and imported a lot of videos.  I have a group of short videos recorded the same day.  I (with free STROKE) converted to AVI and they play with no audio and several play accelerated.  I've then diverted to ASF and some of them imported correctly.  Most of them gave me an error message that they were not indexed.  I downloaded several things to remedy this from online forums: I uninstalled K-Lite pack codec, Expression Encoder 4, WinDVR AVI, DivFix, lame and a number of things.  That's a family movie, I spent a lot of time on it.  If anyone can help with my old hardware and software configuration at this point I'd appreciate it.  The original film seems to be of much better quality than what I am able to import.  Thank you!

    The most reliable video format for Movie Maker is. WMV.

    No guarantee... but the following freeware converter
    may be worth a try:

    (FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
    Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Sothink Free Video Converter
    http://www.Sothinkmedia.com/video-converter/
    (Windows XP / Vista / 7)

    You will need to unzip the file... or you could just drag
    the Setup.exe from the file out of the folder and drop it on your
    desktop and install from there.

    Once installed... Open Sothink and go to... Add the files button...
    Find and select the clips you want to convert.

    Next... in the encoding settings... Choose... Video credits.
    WMV - Windows Media Video (*.wmv).

    Choose an output folder and on the left, click on the button convert.

    You can experiment with other settings later but
    This should help you get started.

    Good luck...

  • ERROR: ORACLE prepare error: ORA-00936: lack of expression

    Hello

    I am required to run the 'pass-through' Oracle SQL, to extract data from tables in the SAS for processing and handling. My code (attached) reads and writes (runs) but with zero records to test first. I can't get beyond the error to prepare.

    The request is just like other queries that seem to work, but I can't get past this prepare error. I have no other access to individauls with an adequate knowledge of the PL SQL and as a last stop hoped others in the forum could quickly identify the source of the error.

    Thank you very much in advance for any help.

    (1) assuming that LAST_SRVC_DT is a column of PHRMCY_CLM_FACT, to precede the table alias "FCP" rather than the full table name. If a table alias is specified in the FROM clause, it should be used rather than the full table name when you reference the columns.
    2) there are two tables in the WHERE clause that do not appear in the FROM clause:

    PHRMCY_FINL_CLM_DMNSN
    MBR_BNFT_DMNSN

    Hello again,

    Wish Oracle was a bit more informative. Uses an Institute of SAS product called Enterprise Guide. A "hot fix" has been installed to solve a problem that the product appears unable to save the latest version of the revised code changes (hence "BETWEEN between" remaining even after an earlier edition). In any case, with the change, now get this error:

    «ERROR: ORACLE prepare error: ORA-00904: "PHRMCY_CLM_FACT".» ' LAST_SRVC_DT': invalid identifier. (The log file is displayed below)

    -The-Les restes remains of the error, no matter if code "pass" is used to move the date range to Oracle (which seems correct to the log output below that I believe), or if I hard code the date range in the query SQL PL itself.

    -L' preparation error always appears at the end of the internal SELECTION.
    -L' error of preparation remain, with or without the GROUP BY clause.

    Is there something else I'm missing? Someone suggested a reserve word - but other versions of the ANSI SQL standard, I don't see that is the case. I went to Support SAS and SAS list serve to the University of Georgia, but nothing definite from these sources. Have requested either able to run Oracle directly, outside this SAS Institute product - process.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you to all the world very much.

    Hello

    In our society, we have oracle server on Suse Linux with two instances TETA and TETA201.

    One day on a server broke down, because there is no free space due growing files 'archivelog.

    After that I manually deleted several older archivelog files, but after the reboot, the server error occurs when connecting to the database:

    "ERROR:

    ORA-01034: ORACLE not available

    Linux x86_64 error: 2: no such file or directory

    Process ID: 0

    "Session ID: serial number 0: 0"

    $ ORACLE_SID is set to TETA, if export it to TETA201 connection works correctly

    Oracle service startup there is no errors but only one instance is running TETA201 works correctly

    Hello
    In the error message, it is clear that stop db is in progress. Must wait some time yet so that will end the shutdown process, then you can start. If you do not have the waiting time you reboot the machine so that once the server has been restarted, you can start your database.

  • Oracle Text multi column index based query returns no rows

    Hello

    I have a MAH_KERESES_MV table with 3 columns OBJEKTUM_NEV, KERESES_SZOVEG_1, KERESES_SZOVEG_2. I create the following Oracle multi column text index:

    ctx_ddl.create_preference exec ('MAH_SEARCH', 'MULTI_COLUMN_DATASTORE');
    ctx_ddl.set_attribute exec ('MAH_SEARCH', 'COLUMNS', 'OBJEKTUM_NEV, KERESES_SZOVEG_1, KERESES_SZOVEG_2');

    create index MAX_KERES_CTX on MAH_KERESES_MV (OBJEKTUM_NEV)
    indexType is ctxsys.context
    parameters ("DATASTORE MAH_SEARCH");
    But the query returns no rows, although if I make the query with the 'like' operator, and then I get the results as expected:

    SELECT id, OBJEKTUM_NEV
    OF MAH_KERESES_MV
    WHERE CONTAINS (OBJEKTUM_NEV, "C") > 0;

    Can some body please help? TIA,

    Tamas

    You can do it in Oracle Text, well it is not necessarily desirable.

    You can search the

    WHERE CONTAINS(OBJEKTUM_NEV, '%C%')>0;

    And it will probably work in a simple test. However, using a leader like this wildcard prevents them the index on the table "list of words" used, so such a request can be very slow on a large system.
    You can improve this by using SUBSTRING_INDEX, but making your much bigger index. And you could always hit the 'expansions too' problem if %C % expansion is more than about 15,000 words (depending on version and different settings).

    Also be aware of differences in case - %C % will match 'fact' or 'FACT', as part of a CONTAINS, but not part of a TYPE.

    But there is enough space allocated to tablespace_index_01 abut 55Gig, and table user.newtable1 is about 80Gig.

    I don't know why I still get error no space left on the device .

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Hello;

    It was so annoying and I found this:

    How To Recover From missing Tempfiles or a temporary Tablespace empty [ID 178992.1]

    "The temporary TEMP01 file (default name) is lost at the OS level."

    I think 201 is a TEMP file.

    Of course would make things add up.

    Best regards
