  shmall is the total amount of shared memory, in the pages, that the system can use simultaneously.

  Define shmall equal to the sum of all Sams in the system, divided by the size of the page.

  The page size can be determined by using the following command:

  $ getconf PAGE_SIZE

  4096

  For example, if the sum of all Sams in the system is 16 GB and the result of

  "$ getconf PAGE_SIZE" is 4096 (4 KB) then set shmall 4194304 pages

  As the root user affect the 4194304 shmall in /etc/sysctl.conf file:

  kernel.shmall = 4194304

  then run the following command:

  $ sysctl Pei

  $ cat/proc/sys/kernel/shmall

  4194304

  The above command loads the new value and an restart is not required.

  Return to the oracle user and try again the start command.

  I installed 11g on Linux virtual machine XE. XE starts well at first, but after using it for awhile, it is broken and gives error when the re-booting of it:

  What could I do to keep the XE not down? I reduced the memory_target 900 m (used in 1 G), but it did not help.

  You have less than 200 MB of RAM available... have you tried assigning a little more memory you virtual machine?

• Why information from individual PDF files that were created by using the form to fill out is changing when I try to combine the files?

  I have several pdf documents created using a form to fill out.  When I try to create a combined PDF information either is removed from all pages after the first page or all the pages after the fact look page 1 as duplicate page 1.  what I am doing wrong?

  The problem is that these files have fields with the same name in them, thus

  When you merge them they become copies of each other and of all their

  To avoid it you must either rename the fields before you merge the files

  or flatten, converting them to static content.

• I am trying to install windows 7 64 bit on my laptop. I have Vista 32 bit and 7 32 bit out there, but when I try to load the easy transfer from the dvd, he says it is not compatible.

  I would agree with everything destroyed and, if there is a way to get windows 7 64 bit on my drive.  Transfer easily gets a «not compatible...» "answer, as does the dvd when you try to start it.

• Screen dump of memory when you try to install the video capture device

  I have a Pinnacle Studio movieBox more peripheral of video capture that I am trying to install, but everytime that I plug it into a USB port it will say it is to install the drivers and then immediately go to a screen dump of memory and restart.  I emailed Pinnacle about this and they don't seem to be any help at all, and after giving me a suggestion told me to contact my manufacturing of computer which is me, because it's custom built, or Microsoft.  Does anyone have ideas, what could be bad?

  I was unable to find it, but it seems that a faulty USB port was the problem that I plugged into another and installed without any problems.

  I have server Solaris 10 with 16 GB of ram. On that, there are 10 databases (8 of them 9.2.0.7 and 2 of them 10.2.0.4) running - but they have a small LVO-300 mb each (about even smaller 200 MB or more). Now, I have to create two more data on this database. When I try to create the db, it fails with the error:

  ORA-27102: out of memory
  SVR4 error: 22: invalid argument
  
  And the journal of alerts meesages as below:

  For example, a value of the sample (mentioned in the note) are: for entry system/etc/setting SHMMAX = 6 GB.
  
  Set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax = 6442450944
  Set semsys:seminfo_semmni = 1024
  Set semsys:seminfo_semmsl = 1024
  Set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni = 100
  
  or should I put some other values (for all parameters as semmni, semmsl etc.)? I missed that I should be by specifying values.

  Your sound card that is more than adequate.
  If the game was previously installed and worked fine then maybe it is not been completely uninstalled.
  I suggest you uninstall the game, look in the registry for any left over entries that can refer to the game.

  Then restart and reinstall the game.

  Alternatively, you can try to install in compatibility mode. If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.
  Use the following steps:
  (1) right click on the program
  2) click Properties
  3) click on the Compatibility tab
  (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.

  I get error "-12 out of memory" when using CopyTabPage (Panel, TAB, 0, Panel, TAB,-1) on my request (the first duplication tab).

  There are several levels of tab panel system (like this example)

  Each sub-tab panels contains appx. 16 x 60 controls (digital, ring, String) and some of them also stripchart graphics.

  I have reached the limit of the CVI? Are there things to check? (I develop under CVI 2012 SP1).

• "Not enough memory is available to process your order" when you try to install the drivers

  Recently, I have problems when you try to install the drivers for a USB mouse that I have. When I plug the mouse, it detects it and tries to install the software but it gives me an error saying he found the software but can't install it because "not enough memory is available to process your order."

  I spent a bit of time, search tries to find a solution to this problem, and I tried a lot of things without success.

  I tried the things:

  -Manually installed the drivers. While I can install them, Windows does not recognize the drivers as being installed and the mouse still not working.

  -The fix IRPStackSize. It was not in the registry, so I thought this might be the solution, but it does not solve my problem.

  -Troubleshooting and repair of Windows Update. I had a memory leak problem with Windows Update, so I thought fix which would cure the problem. I was able to d/l an update that corrects this problem, but it does not solve the driver problem.

  Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

• Out of memory when running only Firefox + flash

  Hello

  I am running Windows 7 on this computer. I'm only under Firefox (without Add-ons) that runs one leg with flash. The flash seems to be stifled because there is not enough free memory.

  According to the Windows Task Manager, Firefox uses 213 MB (size of validation is 240 MB). The flash player plugin uses 127 MB (size of validation is 217 MB).

  Yet, in the Windows Task Manager, I see the following for physical memory:

  • Total - 3327
  • Cache - 1419
  • Available - 1391
  • Free - 1

  I think the problem is that so much memory is cached, but I don't know. However, I think a machine with 4 GB of RAM should easily run a single tab with flash...

  Please try to add the following in the section in the Web\Portal\web.config

  You can extend the time-out value to avoid the error when the data in the custom section are too big and too long to load.

• D - SUB out of range is displayed when I try to change the resolution of the monitor.

  I thought that a new cable gold plate would be a pretty high grade. Looks like computers wont hired my monitor .it's a 3D display of 23 "L.G., a brand devices model page correct etc... but when I try to adjust the screen res.  It shows as a generic monitor and custom show good res setting.

  The computer video card determines what resolution will be available...

  Your LG can handle 1920 x 1080.

  Glance to update the drivers for your video card. What brand and model is it?
