    You use Sync?

Try creating a new profile as a test to check whether your profile is the source of the problem.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

If a new profile doesn't help then try a clean reinstall and remove the folder from the Firefox program before (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.

    • Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.

  • After update of firefox-testing repo for ubuntu lucid, the new 10 firefox always crashes when I open it.

This behavior is also indicated in safe mode,
    Tried the following things: -.
    1. re-install.
    2. withdrawal of profile for any other position.
    Now the error is as
"Firefox is already running but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system. »
Rebooted but the same message is displayed again.

Problem solved. I removed the repo steady mozillateam from my list of sources. Then deleted firefox using "apt - get remove firefox" and then installed firefox after a reboot. Also removed ".mozilla" folder in my home directory, which was probably the root of this problem. Now replaced my previous profile FF 10 woking great.

  • Firefox crashes on gmail

I installed Firefox 9 a couple of days and gmail turns out to be very unstable. I can get into it and use it, but very often Firefox will crash to the desktop or I have to close it manually with the Task Manager. He is immediately block the loading of the Inbox, or work for a few minutes and crashed when I click to open something. It's just crashing on gmail, no other sites are assigned to all. I was using Firefox 8 previously and all other versions before it, gmail has been great with them. Any help much appreciated.

The problem seems to be resolved. I contacted Trusteer via the report Console, and they recommended that I upgrade to the latest version. It seems pretty obvious, but I didn't do it before because the Console said to me that I was "updated", however there is a new version and I was directed to download it on http://download.trusteer.com/Gcur4Wtnu/RapportSetup.exe

It worked for 24 hours now, and despite trying them to encourage a crash by logging into my several gmail accounts, many more times than necessary, there were no accident since then. Before I updated report it was rare that I could connect first time without crashing Firefox, so I hope it is now fixed. I thought I should share what others seem to suffer with him.

Thanks for the tip puts me on the report. I would have never thought that the accident was something to do with it.

  • 41 of Firefox crashes, FIrefox was crashing at startup from the 40.0.3 updated

    Crash ID: bp-fceb36ed-dad2-4eab-9836-687df2150928

    Hello
After update to Firefox 40.0.3 several weeks back, Firefox would crash at startup. I uninstalled Firefox, reinstalled FIrefox (now with version 41), this is updated to Windows (Vista 64-bit), shockwave and Flash Player updated, uninstalled Firefox and deleted the Mozilla folder in AppData Roaming directory. Update some addins, FreeMake in particular. Disabled antivirus (Norton 360). I'm unable to start Firefox in safe mode (when I hold SHIFT and you try to start Firefox comes immediately to the crash report). Versions prior to 40.0.3 worked without any problems.

I look forward to hear from you, thanks! David

Sorry to hear about the accident and that you have the ID of the report.

The signature seems a disproportionate impact on the users of Vista. There is a bug in the accident report, but it is for the test of 64-bit versions of Firefox and the final versions are all 32-bit versions.

I see a reference to FLVSrvLib.dll in the report (at the top of the list in the mini Modules tab), which is a DLL associated with Freecorder program Applian Technologies. In other threads, users have experienced startup crashes if they Freecorder and Norton.

If you have indeed the Freecorder program and it is not essential, try to uninstall it then restart Windows to ensure that none of its components are running.

Firefox will start normally after that?

Angieslist.com has recently caused a Firefox crash.

  • Firefox keeps crashing

    Crash report ID: aa69ad39-8f6c-4bd0-bef4-109152150617

My Firefox browser crashes randomly, say about 20 times a day. Only the browser window stops and opens the dialog box 'send report '. I continued sending these reports for these days, filling my e-mail then like someone to contact me, but nothing happened. I tried to open with Safe Mode and all disabled add-ons Mozilla but no solution that's happened, he crashed again. I tried not to open more than 2 tablets at the same time thinking maybe it's a RAM problem, but it crashed again. I periodically check my task manager to increase the CPU usage or RAM but everything is normal! I have updated both my version of Firefox and all my Add-ons are up to date.
A clue is that I constantly have a Facebook tab open, so I don't know if it could be a complication with Facebook itself. I use Firefox as my navig by default for the past 5 years at least, and I've never had any problems.

    I use Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1 64-bit.
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E7300@2,66 GHz
    RAM: 3 GB
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce 9600GT 512 MB
My last update of the material has been more than 2 years ago, so I guess there is no compatibility issues or hardware defect.

I'm happy to share any other information you need by e-mail.

    Hello

Have you tried to update to FIrefox? This function usually fixes most of the issues Firefox.

You can also try a clean reinstall of Firefox and see if the problem still persists?

    I hope this helps!

  • Firefox still crashing when I open Facebook page.

Firefox still crashing when I open Facebook page and crash that appear just after the report is in Greek (?!) I have an English version of Firefox.

    Hey Pacovilla,.

Do you by chance have the LastPass Manager as an add-on of Firefox?
(You can click the icon settings at the top right and choose Add ons).

If you do, try to disable it, or from Firefox with no Add-ons to see if it works.

This add-on seems to cause problems with Facebook on Firefox.

  • Why Firefox always opens with the last session tabs?

When I open firefox always opens with the last session tabs? How can I solve this problem?

You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.
You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

Windows hides certain default file extensions.
Among them are .html, .ini and .js, .txt, so you can see only file name without the file extension.
You can see the type of actual file (file extension) in the properties of the file via the context menu in Windows Explorer.
