Oracle 11 GR 2 64 bit and 32 bit client together?
Hello gurus, a question for you...We install FINS 9.1 on tools 8.51 on Windows 2008 and with Oracle 11 g 2. Our issues, that's the best configuration?
-client 64 bits and 32 bits 11 GR 2 (for application / batch server)? It would work in reality?
-GR 11, 2 (even if she is not certified) 32-bit?
I would gladly appreciate advice or comments. Thank you.
Andy
You will need to install Oracle 64-bit (for database - database of 32-bit software installs not on a 64 bit OS), and since you are on Windows, you also need Oracle 32-bit client (unlike the previous version, there is no 32-bit libraries shipped in 64 bits 11 GR 2 database software). It is fully certified and works very well.

Oracle 32-bit Client and Oracle DB 64 ORA-12560

Are both 64-bit and 32-bit Oracle on the same computer? It is where PTools 8.5 x is confusing so far. It is 64-bit capable only, but on Windows, to Oracle 32-bit libraries to run the client (Appserv, CRP, AppDesigner, DMS). It will be fixed within 8,53 PTools where we will rid us off the coast of the need for 32-bit (particularly embarrassing for Appserver/CRP on a server). So far, we will need both the server, 64-bit managed to be the server, 32-bit has managed to be the customer. Overall, it makes the image even less clear.
In this case, make sure that the PATH variable contains the correct sequence (64-bit, 32-bit server server).
Basically, the variables ORACLE_HOME and path must be changed before using one or the other House.
If you want to use a connection with a server, the home64bit value, this should work:set ORACLE_HOME=
set PATH=%ORACLE_HOME%\bin:%PATH% set ORACLE_SID=mydb sqlplus / as sysdba If you want to use a login as a client, the home32bit value, it should work:
set ORACLE_HOME=
set PATH=%ORACLE_HOME%\bin:%PATH% sqlplus sysadm/sysadm@mydb Nicolas.

Windows 7 64 bit and the need to install 32-bit and 64-bit client for Oracle 11 g
Hello
First of all, I'm sorry to ask what is probably a common response to the knowledge of most in the forum. I can't find a straight answer, the search of these forums or via google.
We have Windows 7 64 - bit in our next update office. We have several Oracle databases, and all client software in our environment is 32-bit.
I want to try to be at the forefront, so I want to deploy the latest version of the client 64 - bit 11 g instead of our current client (10 g 32-bit).
The simple question is this: can we actually do with our suite of 32-bit applications or do I need to install the client for 32-bit to 32-bit applications side-by-side with the customer of Oracle 11 g 64 bit for future 64-bit clients?
For the future that, if I do, then someone good instructions on this? I found an article about it, but it seemed personal and made use of the mklink command, so I have my doubts it is correct.
Thank youI think that you need separate 64-bit and 32-bit clients

Can you install Oracle 11 g 32 bit and 64 bit clients on the same machine AIX 6?
We have a supplier who needs a 32-bit client on the application server which is AIX 6. We already have 11g 64 bit client installed there. So, we can install both or I am interested in a the first 64-bit client deinstall?
Yes you can, please check the documentation: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e24334/toc.htm#CHDIGJJB
From Oracle Database 11 g Release 2 (11.2), the client software 64-bit does contain the binary 32 bits client. If you need the 32-bit client binaries on 64-bit platforms, then install the 32-bit binaries from the 32-bit respective client software in a separate Oracle home.

2. install Oracle 32-bit Production Client (10.2.0.3) to the: "C:\oracle\orcl1."
Copy C:\oracle\orcl\network\admin to C:\oracle\orcl1\network\admin tnsnames
' 3. in the cmd prompt, I used: set oracle_home = c:\oracle\orcl1.
4. on the way of Environment Variables, I put: "c:\oracle\orcl1\bin."
.. .but it still does not work. I don't know where I mistake and what to do.
When I try to run my application I get an error: unable to load a library service IDAPI. SQLORA32.dll

This file:
win32_11gR2_client.zip

VT turned on in the BIOS and still not possible to 64-bit clients
Hello
I use a laptop HP 4710 s with this processor:
Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo P8700 CPU 2.53 GHz
This CPU is supposed to have VT I enabled in the BIOS. / proc/cpuinfo shows the vmx extension. I'm still not able to use 64-bit clients. VMware server 2 logs show VT is not enabled in the BIOS, but it is.
I then tried the VMware CPUID utility and it also claims that VT is not there.
You think the issue in the BIOS? Or VMware products?
THX!
B.
I don't know if that makes a difference or not, but do you have off the box and then on it back since the change in the BIOS? I've never had to do that before any time I activate VT myself, but who knows... What host operating system running on the HP? It is 32-bit or 64-bit?

Install the MDW and the mobile client on the same platform
Hi all
We implement our 11g Oracle Database Server from Mobile environment and I was confused about something I read in the Release Notes (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E22663_01/doc.11100/e22675.pdf). In section 3.2 says 'do not install MDW and the mobile client on the same platform.' Did mean really say 'platform' or does really do not install the MDW and the mobile client on the same device? We are a store of Windows 100% - the mobile server is installed on a Windows Server machine, we plan to develop with Workbench Mobile database (GMD) on a Windows 7 desktop PC, and we intend to run the client mobile Windows 7 tablets. The Release Notes say that I can't do this?
Yes - the way it is written is a bit confusing. We will correct it in the next version of doc. What we were trying to say, is do not install them on the same system. Thank you for this comment.
Kind regards

installation of 32-bit client 12 c YES-10151
Hi Forum, I installed the new server database oracle 12 c (x 64) on Windows 7 (x 64) operating system. When I try to install the Oracle client 12 - to 32 bits in the same machine, the installation, I get the following error: "YES - 10151:There was an error loading library: ntActionLib" however I could install the client for 32-bit 12 c in Mode InstantClient (214.0 MB)! but I can't install it in Runtime (735.0 MB) mode. My basic oracle: My Oracle Home "C:\Oracle\base": "C:\Oracle\base\product\12.1.0\dbhome_1" it is worth to mention that I installed the db server and the 32-bit client under the same roof of oracle! All advice is appreciated. Thank you
I managed to solve the problem by performing the following tasks:
1. install the 32-bit client in an another oracle_home rather than db oracle 64-bit server.
2 set the oracle_home to 32-bit variable
3 - update the windows path variable and replace the bin folder home of oracle with the binary 32 bits. (for example, path = path; C:\oracle\base32bit\product\12.1.0\dbhome_1\bin)
4. open the sqlplus and sign in using this connection string: sqlplus user/password@dbname example sqlplus admin/123@orcl
Note that, when you stop and then start the listener to oracle db server, change the oracle_home to 64-bit (set oracle_home=C:\oracle\base64bit\product\12.1.0\dbhome_1)
I hope this helps someone else.

SQL * PLUS 32-bit Client required for 64-bit Windows
Hello
I had a 64-bit Windows OS and Oracle 11.
With 32-bit Applications (Crystal Reports) I can't run SQL NET thick, thin NET SQL and JDBC.
32-bit Oracle Installation is missing.
Oracles "Instant Client downloads for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)" won't do it.
http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/topics/WinSoft-085727.html
What else to use?
Thank you
Martin SautterYou download the 32-bit client from:
http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/database/Enterprise-Edition/downloads/112010-win32soft-098987.html
As already mentioned here, you need to install in a different House in db Oracle 64-bit. I did myself, as the toad is a 32 bit 32 bit tns application.

I have a running 7.2 ASA5510 (1) 19 and ASDM 5.2 (1). I anyconnect-victory - 2.2.0133 - k9.pkg installed, but 64-bit clients cannot connect to it.
64-bit clients connect and they float on a portal and the customer will not be downloaded. 32-bit machines download the downloaded client.
Any thoughts?
Thank you
The customer connect everything requires ASA 8.x and not 7.2.x. Please take a look at this link:
http://www.Cisco.biz/en/us/docs/security/ASA/compatibility/ASA-VPN-compatibility.html
I'd say go to 8.0.3 (or later in this course).
