  They use different SSH and IPSEC protocols, and there is also of course in terms of security.

  SSL is easy to deploy than ipsec. Imagine that you have 200 + users and to connect to the vpn, you must give them the pcf file and client software, which is not required in the case of SSL.

  I've set up my VPN gateway - more SSL...

  I downloaded with my gw the windows client and the Mac client.

  I installed my windows client, and I am able to connect to my vpn - ssl.

  But I'm not able to install the Mac client on my two Mac OS X Maverick, he refuses to be installed (installation was interrupted).

  Do you know if there is a compatibility issue with Mac OS X Maverick (10.9)?

  Is it possible to download this client directly without being forced in to do through my gateway?

• Juniper ssl vpn / 64-bit

  We have configured the Juniper to start virtual desktops with Vmware View. But I have a problem with win7 64-bit. If I try to connect for the first time, the system detects there is no customer of vmware on it and download the client 64-bit (4.5). So the next time I want to connect to the desktop computer, Juniper starts the vmware customer, but I have no GUI (I don't even see the client connection).  I only see that the wswc.exe * 32 is started, but no application.

  When I do the same thing on a 32-bit win7, no problem, perfect on my virtual office connection. Even on XP-32 bt, perfect.

  A person who recognizes the problem?

• Clientless SSL VPN w / RDP

  I have a SSL VPN configuration without client for a user and try to use the rdp with a bookmark plugin.  I bookmarked configured for rdp: / / , but when the user clicks on it, a Web page opens with an inability to display a message and a url of type https://.plugins./rdp/index.

  HTML? target = rdp: / /? csco_lang = en.  If the user clicks on the button Terminal servers and then manually selects DPR: / / and between the IP address of the server it works fine.

  Hello

  It seems that you have enabled the option "smart tunnel" for the RDP bookmark. Plug-ins are not supported with smart tunnels and can cause the error you see.

  Could you please make sure that the smart tunnel option is disabled and let us know if you still see this problem?

• Classic question: SSL VPN Client and Vista 64 - bit OS

  Material: 64-bit software architecture: Windows Vista Home Cisco Hardware (64-bit): 871w router Cisco Software: base of 12.4 T having a challenge with Windows Vista (64) using the SSL VPN. Use of IE, I can navigate to the url, both using the DNS name and IP address. I do not have a signed certificate, so I get the standard warning screen where you will need to click on the red x to continue. At this point, the progress bar moves for a fraction of a second and it's there. For troubleshooting I tried: - clearing cookies, cache, etc. - add url and IP to the Zone of confidence - reset areas rest default - disabled options window popup and phisher IE7 - off all 3rd party Manager BHO - withdrawal of MacAfee software suite - disable User Control that allowed me to make the sign in page, but after the signature - I had a blank white screen. Then, I downloaded Firefox 3.0 (newer) and tried to connect. After a series of guests to accept and download the certificate, I was able to connect and click on the Start button to start the session. The next little screen came as expected and he chose Java. I received a message that it could not install the Cisco AnyConnect Client's and I had to download it manually. Downloaded and installed the client software. Logging out of the browser and its closure - I could not access the page again. It appeared to hang again with a progress bar. I went to empty cache, cookies, passwords etc in Firefox and reloaded the application. Still, I was able to connect. However, I always received the message that the customer could not install and download manually. For fun, I exported the certificate on the desktop and imported into Internet Explorer.   I wonder if it is possible to have 2 SSL VPN client running simultaneously at the same time. When I'm working out of the site, I have to do the following:

  1. I call Array SSL VPN network to connect to the corporate network. I need it to be able to read emails.

  2. I invoke some other developed internal SSL VPN client to connect to the customer's network. This is necessary to get access to access the Citrix customer environment.

  When I run the 2nd SSL VPN, my vision behaves erratically as the gel or the loss of connection to the exchange server.

  SSL VPN network table is a SSL VPN split, which means that it routes web traffic of the company and nothing else.

  Developed internal SSL VPN is configured to route specific IP range.

  I wonder if there is any limitation in Windows 7 32 - bit OS that prevent me to simultaneously run 2 SSL VPN clients.

  The SSL VPN client is the legacy client used on the first ASA platforms and VPN concentrator. Customer SVC has since been replaced by AnyConnect. AnyConnect is the client recommended for new deployments ASA and IOS. AnyConnect is also the only client that supports 64-bit operating systems.

• Clients SSL VPN so never expire, even if the time-out is configured

  We have a TZ215 running SonicOS Enhanced 5.8.1.2 - 6o, and clients are set to the following:

  By default the Session Timeout (minutes): 30

  However, VPN sessions are never finished. One is linked from 2942 minutes, and the column for the idle time is 30 minutes - it stays on 30 minutes, constantly and never tear the sign down.

  Is there something I can change in the configuration to force a timeout absolute for sessions, for example, after 2 hours, the connection is completed even if it is active? I looked for a setting like this, but had no chance.

  Correct, UTM does not have this feature to complete the SSL - VPN connections.

• THE SSL VPN CLIENT ERROR!

  VPN concentrator running 4.7. I have to connect to the web vpn session. The SSL VPN Client installs. Message that says: "so that the SSL VPN connection is pending" and later another message appears that says "HTTP RESPONSE received from gateway SSL VPN is not valid" appears.

  What is strange is that the VPN concentrator lists me as it is connected with an IP address assigned to the ACS, but I can't access anything whatsoever. BTW, no ACLs WEB or IP filters are configured for this group that would not allow me access to the network. In addition, with the same information identification and the same group, I have no problem to access the network when the client SSL VPN is not configured to be used. IE web vpn before 4.7.

  Any ideas?

  The "VPN SSL HTTP RESPONSE received from gateway is incorrect" message may appear if the configuration of the client of the concentrator contains over split tunneling 26 entries.

• SSL VPN without disabled in ASA5505 after the Activation of the AnyConnect client

  Hello everyone,

  I am facing a problem with the VPN service in ASA 5505. Initially, I was using SSL VPN without customer who was working absolutely fine, no problem. Recently I bought AnyConnect Essentials License with license AnyConnect VPN, Mobile (for focusing on the Client SSL VPN Service for desktop and mobile respectively) and have activated these keys inside of the firewall. After that I may be able to connect to based on the VPN Client, using the AnyConnect client. Clientless VPN access is not allowing you to connect and displays an error (see the attached screenshot).

  I created two VPN profiles Viz, basic (for clientless VPN) and rvsvpn (for client based VPN). Download the AnyConnect Client I can connect to the rvsvpn profile. But if I try to connect using the basic profile, it throws an error has been to what is displayed in the exhibition.

  Please help me in this regard, as what can be done to use both the vpn connection profile. Or what the use of AnyConnect disables client access?

  "Anyconnect essentials" in your configuration command to disable all profiles without customer (as well as other features that require the Premium license).

  Essentials and Premium are mutually exclusive as the performance of duties. You can have both installed licenses, but only use one or the other (and never both at once) in your running configuration.

• Where can I get a SSL VPN client?

  I don't know much about vpn technology, but used the cisco 5.x client software and the software vpn client that ships with windows xp. Now a customer asks me to connect using an ssl vpn. I don't think I can do it with either of the vpn client packages I've used before? So what am I supposed to use? I looked openvpn and couldn't make much sense out of it. I registered on this site, but apparently this is not enough for me to access the software vpn ssl client.

  If you are the client establishing the connection to the server RA via SSL the way that it works is using regular internet OS web browser as Internet Exprorer, as it supports SSL as webvpn SSL, and the user credentials to open a session in WEBVPN leads, that's all that you need to connect to the server of your customer RA.

• SSL VPN Client username and passwords save

  We use SSL VPN with ASA, we want to save the user name and password to connect to the customers in the SSL VPN client, if user only has not to type again to connect to the enterprise resources, employees normally use iPhone IOS and Android for VPN access.

  Is their a way, we can save the credentials username and password for iphone and android?

  I googled for it and found a way using URIS to pre-fill the name of user and password but I'm not sure how it works, and it will be beneficial.

  You can use the URIs, if your method of methods must use WBS for the password pre-population.

  I would recommed you use certificate authentication, so they don't have to use the user name and password, and the process will be done automatically.
