Oracle Virtual Directory for SSL configuration
Hello experts, can you please help me understand whether a typing error in Oracle Enterprise Deployment guide for IDM http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E25054_01/fusionapps.1111/e21032/toc.htm#BEGIN, port of the OID is mentioned in Oracle Virtual Directory for SSL configuration - section 9.4.2.2. Why port ODI?The guide mentioned how to configure OID for SSL in section 7.4.3.2 and here he mentioned port 389 OID! For example, during Setup for OVD, is not that we are supposed to talk about port OVD. Please help me clarify this confusion. BTW, in many places, the guide says clearly, if you have OVD, you mention port OVD here...
Thank you
Jyothi
Specify the port OVD. I think that by default it's 6502.
Kind regards

Oracle - wrong directory for spfile configuration wizard
I use management and Configuration Tools. configuration wizard to create a database model (structure and data) on Windows from an existing database.
When I try to create a database from this template on another machine, I get an error failed to create the spfile.
The reason is that on the original machine the spfile is on drive G, and I don't have a single drive on the computer target, which is C.
The location of the G drive is specified in the audit_file_dest model, background_dump_dest, core_dump_dest and user_dump_dest.
The problem is that there no place in creating a model, or the creation of model db, to edit these locations and specify another directory.
Is there a way to disable using spfile during the creation of the model on the original machine? Or an another workaround?user4459361 wrote:

Oracle Virtual Directory - store Local adapter creation
Hi all
I had an Oracle virtual directory server integrated with three different Active Directory server.
Active Directory1: UO = group1, dc = company, dc = com
Active Directory2: UO = Group2, dc = company, dc = com
Active Directory3: UO = GROUP3, dc = company, dc = com
I had created three different LDAP adapter for three Active Directory servers.
LDAP Adapter_AD1: OU = group1, dc = company, dc = com
LDAP Adapter_AD2: OU = Group2, dc = company, dc = com
LDAP Adapter_AD3: OU = GROUP3, dc = company, dc = com
Now, I had created an adapter to store Local to all three cards. When you create, that's fine. Throwed is no exception. But when I see the data of the browser window, I was not able to browse and verify the data.
Same Oracle Access Manager is not able to bind with the user credentials.
Very urgent solution. Help, please
Thanks in advance,
Sandeep DYou must manually add this node in OVD using an ldap client.
Do the following-
-Bind for OVD using an ldap client
-Open "dc = company, dc = com", which will give you "no object".
-Add "dc = company, dc = com" with appropriate attributes and dcObject objectclass
Now you should be able to draw on "dc = company, dc = com" ldap searchesIt will be useful,

Oracle Virtual Directory 10.1.4.3
Hello
What all the backend directory servers and database servers are certified to work with Oracle Virtual Directory on linux redhat AS4 10.1.4.3?
I tried to look for more information on this, but could not do. What I've found is the following: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/files/idm_certification_101401.html#BABCABFC
He talks abt 10.1.4.0.x, but there is no mention of 10.1.4.3
Pointers would be welcome.
Thank you.Hi Daniel,.
MetaLink (notes 778969.1) points to the same document for 10.1.4.3 certification as well.

OID contains all users belonging to a group and can be viewed correctly using DOHAD.
Users cannot connect to the portal WebCenter or any other application of the field gets initialized because JPS store does not.
However, the JPS store gets initialized for the administration server, users and group membership can be toured from the areas of security-> users and groups to the weblogic console window.
A few days ago the users connected to the webcenter content was not asigned no role.
WebCenter star in the field of content very well, Admin Server and store of JPS is initialized correctly, users and members of the group can be seen in areas of security-> users and groups to the weblogic console window.
This error started to appear a few days before, before that, everything was normal, and users could connect to the webcenter portal group for membership and get the OID and the privileges of JPS LDAP store.
Servers werer started first, using Nodemanager script to start the server administration, and after that the administrator of the booted server, console weblogic was used to start managed servers.
Is there a way to debug the JPS Store initialization?
Hello Amey
The indicator for OAM ID Asserter is required for single sign on functionality, whatever it is, the problem, seems to be communication with the DNS server, which makes a delay that could be verified using traceroute and ping commands.
This delay caused the connection failure to the OID server during initialization of JPS.
As a solution, thefully qualified hostname to OID server has been configured manually to the file/etc/hosts. After this change, JPS can be initialized correctly.
Howerver, that the log shows no time-out or any other exception during the initialziation, making diagnosis difficult to obtain.
Thanks for your help.

Hello
I try to install EBS R12 for three weeks with the same result (after five fail post-installation verification).
I tried to install Oracle Linux 5.8 32 bit and Oracle Linux 5.8 64-bit but end result is the same. When I installed Linux oral, I chose all the option packages. I also used the latest version of RapidWiz as suggested by some posts on the forum (and also in response to my other post by Hussein).
Each installation attempt failed with the following text:

Well, I must fix it in next (trying to start Apache (adapcctl.sh) casts a ' error while loading Shared Libraries: libdb.so.2' on RedHat Linux 5 (Doc ID 879522.1)).
Once you run the commands in the MOS Doc, stop and start the services than those mentioned above and it should seem so

Implementation for Oracle Apex 4.1 SSL
Hi guys,.
I'm a little confused on how to proceed with the encryption SSL with APEX. Throughout I've been running it as embedded Pl/SQL. SSL emerged as a requirement, but now I have to climb an Apache HTTP server that must be configured for SSL.
I had look online to download the HTTP server but fell on Application Server 10 G R3 after going through several links in the Oracle documentation.
http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/IAS/downloads/index.html
I don't know what to download to my goal. What I want is an HTTP server that I can configure for SSL and have it work with APEX. If someone does something like this, would be great if you could point me to good sense. See you soon.
Windows 7
Apex 4.1 running on integrated Gateway plsql
Oracle 11G XEHello
You can also use Tomcat to deploy the earpiece of the APEX.
http://dbswh.webhop.NET/dbswh/f?p=blog:read:0:article:2000
And you can also use Apache and mod_jk with for example Tomcat

Test Oracle Internet Directory Connector for IOM
Hello
I'm testing the running test cases available in the Oracle Internet Directory Connector for IOM, but I'm not because it seems that the current version of this connector does not have the java class tcUtilTestOID as described in the documentation. This class should be at the level of the test\troubleshoot\scripts directory, but there are only files of orders with test cases.
Can anyone confirm this or give me this class file?

Destination storage - Hitachi
Questions:
Events of breach RPO
Consolidation for the VM disk failure
Delta abandoned events
Time change events
NTFS error and warning (event ID: 137, 57)
RDP disconnect and ping does matter
Standby error
Volsnap error
Stop the server and offline issue
Install vmtools emits automaticallywell, in this case, we need to disable the standby of the end of the replication.
So that everything in triggering replication does not trigger the snapshot of the suspension.
Then test the if you get these errors.

Hello
I try to activate FT on a virtual machine that AFAIK ticked all the boxes for FT but I get this message when activating it. No clue as to what might happen or where to connect for extended information? This error message is too generic...
Thanks in advance mates.
Did you follow KB1019165-fault tolerant to fails to 42% with the error: not supported configuration of virtual machines for the fault tolerance

How to configure the virtual machine for the changes to forget
Hi, I want to ask if it is possible together in the virtual machine for the changes to forget. For example - user run VM... make some changes in the configuration. Then come a new user has it want to have clear (without changes in the configuration) virtual machine. Is possible together closed the machine after changes lost?
Sorry for my English.
Thanks for help.
Hi Polo939
First, you will need to take a snapshot of the virtual machine.
Select your virtual machine
Click on "take a snapshot" on the right-hand side of the web interface
Then you must configure the virtual machine to go back to the snapshot when it is turned off.
Click on "configure the VM.
Click the "snapshot".
Select "back to overview" under when you feed off option

Don't define the default directory for virtual machines
Use VMware Player 3, how can I set the default directory for the VMS to be opened or created?
Concerning
Marius
Open the preferences of the user (on Windows, % APPDATA%\VMware\preferences.ini).
You want to add OR change the following line:
-prefvmx.defaultVMPath =
If this key is not in the file, add it and the full path that you want as the default value, the value on the right side
-prefvmx.defaultVMPath = "C:\Thanksgiving\Ate\Too\Much".
Now that the player can create virtual machines, it would be nice to have the user interface to specify the default directory for put/get those VMs

Hello
I'm configuration (v11.1.1.2) identity management product, the installation was very well made. I started to configure it using the config.sh script. I chose to create a new weblogic domain and selected to configure OID and OVD.
I am running Red hat linux 5.4 x 64 bit OS.
I gave all the parameters configuration, such as requested and if failure at the stage where it creates the Oracle Internet Directory store with the error in the log below:

Few things to check.
What is the JDK/JRE Version.
What is the version of WLS?
From the error lines, I can see THAT RCU Version is 11.1.1.3.If the WLS version is 10.3.3, so it is not supported with IDM 11.1.1.2.
Suggestions: update IDM to 11.1.1.3 and configure it. Here are the steps.
-Cancel the Configuration Wizard, delete the directories of domain Instance ACE and WebLogic OR if it's on the virtual machine, you can return to the previous snapshot.
-Update IDM in 11.1.1.3
-Execute config.cmd or confg.shLet me know the result.
Thank you

How to create the virtual directory forms 12 c map
Hi all
I followed the link to create a virtual directory in 12 c forms, but he failed below.
https://docs.Oracle.com/middleware/1221/formsandreports/deploy-forms/basics.htm#FSDEP146
I want to create the virtual directory in ohs1 http server for accessing it via the http server port and the port of Forms Server.
I want to access the URL like this http:/127.0.0.1:7779/forms/excels/abc.xlsx and http:/127.0.0.1:9001/forms/excels/abc.xlsx.
Oracle HTTP Server > Administration > Configuration advanced in this i have not seen any forms.conf in the URL of web logic em.
I added to forms.conf but it is not accessible. path $DOMAIN_HOME/config/fmwconfig/components/OHS/instances / < NAME of the OHS INSTANCE > /moduleconf/forms.conf
AliasMatch genres / excels / (. *) "D:\My_dir\$1".
WLExcludePathOrMimeType /genres/Excel /
Please review...
You can use SST to virtual mapping. Simply add these lines to forms.conf:
RewriteRule ^ / forms/myfiles / (. *) /workaroundmyfiles/$ 1 [PT]
AliasMatch ^ / workaroundmyfiles / (. *) ""C:\someDirectory$1 ".Concerning
