  (1) based on the ID of a region I created a DA who will hide the region during the loading of the page, but after clicking on the button it does not return.

  (2) Css: inline Css section of a page where I had called Display: none with region Id prefix.

  (3) javascript: get Null drop back so this idea.

  Any advice will be good enough.

  I intend to create a Web site using Oracle ApEX and a question about security, authentication.

  Most of the pages are going to be public to anyone, but some of them will require authentication. My question is what is the guideline to handle this? If I activate an authentication on application level scheme then each visitor is going to land directly on the login page when you visit the Web site, which is not good. I intend to place a login box area of the public pages, so users can connect / register if they want to.

  You can have Oracle APEX application pages are public, even if the authentication is enabled at the application level. You define the Attributes of Page -> authentication Page is Public for pages that are going to be public. The pages that are not public, to set the Attributes of Page -> authentication Page requires authentication(which is set by default to the creation of the page). So when the user accesses the public pages, the app will not ask the user for authentication, but when he tries to access the page with all of the authentication, it will ask you for credentials.

  Hi all

  I developed an application where I have 6 pages and 5 tabs and based on the user role I posted the tabs for the user to access these pages.

  But when the user, who doesn't have access to the particular page (say, page 2), but still the user can navigate to it directly by typing the page number in the URL.

  I want to avoid such scenarios.

  eg: http://Apex.Oracle.com/f?p=110:2 , when the user type this in the address bar, it navigates the user to this page even if this particular user does not have access to this page.

  How to prevent the user to navigate through the URL, if the user tries to navigate directly through URLS rather than tabs, I have to give the error message.

  All links to a page and the page itself must be secure.

  You can also consider the protection of session state to prevent tampering of the URL.

  I use oracle apex 5.0. I have a problem when it comes to Validations.

  I used a blank in it two static region an address and one for the text elements. So, basically static region (a) a address in it and select the button called. If I click on the "Select" button, then the address will pass to the second static region based on the id.

  text element 7 I used.

  When you click on the button select associate address fields will be filled with good values. present all the text elements are Disable means that you can change. You can read only, so far its working fine.

  Now on the same region I have 1 button of Validation checking and redirecting to another page in the application.

  What I tried.

  Action button: Submit Page

  Branch created to redirect

  The apex of the Validation process integrated.

• Oracle Apex Interactive report missing filter column header information?

  I use Oracle Apex 4.2, on Internet Explorer 9. I created an interactive report based on the views created in the database (11 g, version 11.2.0.1.0) oracle (workspace = database schema) I use the value of rownum to act as a key to identify the different lines.

  Whenever I try to find the information of one of the column headers for the interactive report (number), I'm not able to find the line, but when I try the same search for "action bar" at the top I am able to see the desired results. That is true of the SQL Developer so know if enter the same information in the filter of the columns, I see the corresponding lines.

  Y at - it an explanation for this behavior?

  This is a limitation of APEX. Column header filters in IR displayed first 999 distinct values in the ascending (after the application of all the IR filters). For example, you can filter 2310 using 'menu action filter' (as you specify) and then try clicking on the topic 'the number '. Then you must see 2310 here.

  fac586 of course it is a bug in the documentation, but 1 million limit is neither practical nor a way to go.

• Update of the elements on the Page regarding filters in Oracle APEX interactive report

  I recently started using interactive reports in my Oracle APEX application. Previously, all pages in the classic application reports. The interactive report in my new page works fine, but now, I would like to add a summary box/table above the interactive report on the same page that displays values added some columns in the interactive report. In other words, if my interactive report displays 3 names of separate Manager, 2 separate offices and 5 different employees, my summary (box) will contain a line and three columns with numbers, 3, 2, and 5, respectively.
  
  So far, I did this job creating the box summed up as a classic report that account of the distinct values for each column in the same table that my interactive report pulls. The problem is when I try to filter my interactive report. Of course, the classic report is not updated based on the interactive report filters, but I don't know how I could link the two so that the classic report meets interactive report filters. From my research, there are ways to refer to the value in the search box of the interactive report using javascript/jquery. If possible, I would like to refer to the value of the filter of the interactive table with javascript or jquery to refresh the summary box whenever a new filter is applied. Does anyone know how to do this?

  Thanks, Patrick! I was always getting some of the old filters for a reason, but I was able to use the tables included in queries to retrieve my ID to report, that I used in the APEX_IR. Function GET_REPORT.

  I tried to create Interactive report on the mobile application using apexea without success. He created the report but under report attributes I don't see report columns and it also gives me no data found error when I try to navigate off region edit and get new.

  Hi Alwyn,

  always work on apexea? The problem you describe is a bug in the version installed on this system. It has produced if the interactive report icon was not explicitly enabled in the wizard to create a Page, in this case that the IR has not been fully created.

  Please do not import any application created the apexea in the final production of APEX 5.0 or apex.oracle.com version. You will need to re - recreate them from scratch.

  Model = a level with left sidebar tab

  I created menu Tree in the sidebar left.

  I used the code below in the region attribute

  If I develop the tree node overflow - y: scroll works fine, but overflow-x: scrolling does not work.

  My problem is overflow-x: scrolling does not work.

• Alignment of the table in Oracle Apex

  Hi all

  I use Oracle Apex 4.2.5 for application development. I used 26 theme.

  In my page I used the Template of the Page as a level with the sidebar tab left. Graphic design and report on this Page.

  I created a button to hide / show the sidebar.

  When I hide the sidebar, then more space white bar inside the graph. (chart appear somewhere not in the Center)

  My requirement is necessary reduce the white space (or center the graph) when the sidebar is leather.

  Here is my sample application to apex.oracle.com.

• Assignment of values in Oracle Apex

  Hi all

  I am working in Oracle Apex 4.2 for mobile application development.

  I have a doubt regarding the assignment of the values for items of data in Oracle APEX.

  My scenario is,

  I have 3 select lists,

  1. the first is Account_Type values will be "the and 'P'."

  2. the next field is Account_Name, whose value will be based on the list of Account_Type above.

  3. the third list is Sales_Person, and this value will be based on the two lists above.

  That is the 1 and 2 list works perfectly, whenever I changed the list 1, the corresponding values are filled in list2.

  Whereas that list 3 will not change its value.

  Added more, when I change the type of list POPUP LOV 3, then list3 works well. But for the type of selection list, it scrolls to infinity.

  List 1 - static list

  2 & 3 - dynamic list list

  I have almost 5 fields to assign based on lists 1 and 2.

  Please tell me how to do this.

  I created a test web app in apex.oracle.com to try a few things. I created a Flash 2D pie chart in a Web page, and it seems to make very well. But before rendering, I get the error message above, on the region of graph for 1-2 seconds.

  Can anynone tell me what means the error message above and why I'm getting this. I do not use a custom XML part. Has not changed the default settings of the chart area.

  I could see above the error appearing clearly since the apex.oralce.com is so slow... and graphics region takes awhile to load. Otherwise I could not have noticed. It happens in the IE8 and Google chrome.

  Can anyone help please. I'll try to become a test application setup dispalying this awhile earlier error message.

  I used HTML5 graphics in apex 4.2.0.00.27 in my office in my real application workspace. Most of my users still use IE8. HTML5 graphics all appeared well in their IE8 browser. One fine day, some parameters must be changed by my network administrator or soemthing else could have happened. I have no idea. My webapplication HTML5 graphics disappear IE8 users. IE9 users had no problem. I contacted our IT support staff of any changes to security settings that day, or earlier. Absolutely no help from my frustration. I have to change maps of my application (only about 6 of them) to the Flash graphics to overcome this obstacle. This is the story behind why I use Flash cards. If anyone has experienced a similar problem in IE8 HTML5 graphics please shed any light for me... This problem may be nothing to do with the "XMLFile parameter error message', but I'm not sure.

• Oracle apex without password field application login page

  Hi all

  Someone please help with this request. I want to have a login to application page where users just enter their login user id and just click the button connection; Once they connect. I have an authorisation procedure which checks against the database for their user id table and redirects to different pages based on their role as defined in the database. If its a user id invalid; the process redirects to the page that is not permitted.

  Is it possible in the apex oracle to connect to the app with just their user name. We use Oracle APEX 4.0.2 version and oracle 10g r2 database.

  Previously, we had the LDAP authentication, which was no - ssl and we do not want to use it, as this will not be the policy of the company. We have tried to establish a SSL connection and create oracle certificate using s/n, but it always takes some time.

  Write a custom authentication scheme

  and simply return true without checking the password field. The author, Patrick Barel, gives an example:

  A custom authentication function can do what you want in terms of functionality, as long as it returns true if the authentication is successful or false otherwise.
