  I have reproduced the behavior of the old server and am able to spool a file via sqlplus under OS user. No changes have been made on the remote database server. All the changes have been on the new server hosting a small 11.2.0.4 database on a server running OEL 6.5 32 - bit OS.

  (1) removed the sticky bit $ORACLE_HOME/bin/sqlplus using chmod u-s, g-s, o - s suggestion of Billy ~ Verreynne

  (2) modified the main group for the 'oracle' user match the user operating system applications, while maintaining membership in the groups 'oracle' and 'dba '.

  -We are dealing with here EDI processes, so the Group was called edi.

  (3) modified property of the files tnsnames.ora and listener.ora for oracle: edi

  (4) restart the receiver

  (5) disconnect / reconnect

  Script runs as expected, the output file contains the correct ownership and permissions.

  I know that without having access to it I can always monitor DB activities and health checks like memory usage, work of long-running queries, use of the CPU etc.

  Please you can help by telling me how to do it. (By some sql scripts or methods using SqlDeveloper feature will do also).

  I don't know why you don't not found db administration of Google scripts, but when I said "oracle database administration scripts" on Google, I found great sources such as:

  http://www.dbatoolz.com/SQL-scripts

  and many others.  You will need to download these scripts.  Most of them is made for Linux environment.  If you want to learn and to test them, just create databases for each source test according to the mentioned Oracle version and you did.  I would strongly suggest to have a separate database for each source to better test and learn.

  In addition, some sites of books provide too good scripts.  These scripts are code in action of their examples of books.

• How to install Oracle policy Automation in Oracle Application Server?

  We plan to use OPA with Oracle Ebusiness Suite release 12.1. We run the application Oracle 11 g server. We want to deploy the components Oracle policy Automation to the same server to Oracle Ebusiness suite applications.
  
  (a) how to install the engine of determinations of Oracle, Oracle Server of determinations on Oracle Application Server and Oracle Web determinations? The document setup for OPA is not for Oracle Application Server.
  (b) what is the best deploy the OPA in separate server or in the same Oracle Ebusiness Suite server?

  (a) you must install the files of war for determination of Oracle server and Oracle Web determinations according to the normal deployment of war - there is no special action required, this is why it does not appear explicitly. There is no reason to deploy Oracle engine determinations itself to a web application server.

  (b) "better" tends to be more a subjective point of view, but if you already deploy all your web services on the same server as Oracle E-Business Suite, then you should go the same for the OPA. Same story for deployment on a separate server.

  (c) cannot answer without knowing why you're using OPA! If you are looking to integrate with Oracle E-Business Suite Oracle Server determinations would be the wise choice. Determinations of Web is very useful if you want a smart way to collect or examine relevant evaluation data for decisions, as well as the scenarios of "self service". Engine determinations should be used if you have a scenario of integration completely on measure that can use web services or web - applications, but I can't imagine a scenario where it would be logical if you are using Oracle E-Business Suite.

  Of course, these are just my point of view - others may feel more strongly one way or the other!

  If the goal is to make it potentially easier to communicate with colleagues, whose native language is not English, I'd think Hindi or Mandarin would be the choice (even if you'd probably high enough to clear before your Hindi bar was better than English your colleague). If the goal is potentially do it yourself employable in other countries, as others have suggested, it would be important to look at which countries you are interested in - Spanish, French or German are likely to be relatively common in different parts of the world.

  So the question is, when you select a different accelration here the result is different.

  It has everything necessary for the development of applications using Oracle. As the creation of tables, objects and so on.
  
  So to use pl sql, I need to use the api is available in this tool. I can't access or touch any table without these APIs.
  
  It seems that I'm investing and will invest more of my time in learning the architecture and methods of this tool.
