Orange AUX_PWR is turned on

Recently, I completely lost wifi connection on my XPS 8700. The computer cannot detect any router. I noticed that the Realtek wireless card was missing in Device Manager. Fortunately, the Dell wireless adapter was still available. After you activate this card, reworked wifi connection. However, during this troubleshooting, I found that the aux_pwr light turned on even if I shut down the computer.

My questions are:

1. the Realtek wireless adaptor is dead?

2. why the aux_pwr light lights - led amber solid? Is it related to the question of Realtek wireless network card or indicate other issues in my computer?

3. can I turn off the aux_pwr light or how to make trouble? I do not think that the aux_pwr light on is normal.

So far, the computer works fine. Admittedly, I have not tested all the features.

Any help is appreciated!

  • EliteBook 9470 m: silent speaker won't turn on orange

I know that this is a trivial question, but bothers me so this is:

I had to reinstall Win7 on my laptop. There are two buttons lit in the corner at the top right of the keyboard: one for staff and one for audio. The wifi button turns orange when I turn it off and back to white when, but the audio button will switch colors, it remains white. It works for example. I can cut or activate audio on with her. Any thoughts?

    Dear customer,

Please install the software recommended below:

Download IDT Audio Installer found on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?sp4ts.Oid=5271102&swItemId=ob_130088_1&swEnvOid=4060

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the driver to Chipset found on the following link.

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?sp4ts.Oid=5271102&swItemId=ob_146756_1&swEnvOid=4060

When the Chipset resettlement has completed, reboot the laptop and let Windows load completely-, it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, restart the laptop again before checking the function of the button mute conduit.

Also update the BIOS from the link below:

  • Satellite R630 - 12G - how to turn off wireless communication?

    Hello!
Whenever I start my laptop Satellite R630 12G I have to disable "wireless communication" (flashes orange when its turned on).

    How to 'OFF' by default?

    Hello

I m not Satellite R630 owner and I still use card internal WLAN but you should look into the BIOS. According to the BIOS / motherboard, you can disable WLAN.
    Check this box!

Alternative, you can disable the internal WIFI card in Windows Device Manager.

    Hey,.

    1. I have a Satellite L650/0ED, I was wondering if the HDMI and the external monitor port start when starting and if they cause the start time of the laptop to be slower. If they do slow down the start how disable them you using Device Manager, since I looked, I tried to disable the Device Manager; but I can't find them anywhere on the list of devices.
They have a special code name or something?

    2. based on my understanding, the manual of instruction/userguide Toshiba mentions if I press FN + F8 it turns off the wireless amber light but this is not the case, since the amber wireless is still or not. I have the wireless active or disabled.
It say it's so I have the wireless off of amber or the - Orange must be turned off when I press FN + F8 and is not, why is this?

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

    1. No, they cause t a slower start. He doesn't know me and as long as I know it of not possible to disable the ports in the BIOS. Then n t you worry about this, even, you have connected external screens, boot time is the same.

    2. Yes, usually you can activate the WLAN functionality by using the FN + F8 key combination.
I put t have the laptop in front of me, but normally if you don t have a hardware wireless switch, you can disable the wireless network adapter in the BIOS. Just put permits for disabled people and that should be all! :)

  • Lights up turn of the computer - monitor remains blank

    • About 5 days ago, I was using my computer as usual. I have a game, was talking to some people and play music, everything works fine. Out of nowhere, my screen locked up, I thought he was just a typical gel, so I waited a minute or two while trying things like the Ctrl alt del and alt + tab, none of these things, do nothing at all. To speed up the process, I turned off the computer manually and turned it back. After back on the screen remains empty. When the device is turned on and that everything is working normally, the light on the power button on the monitor to blue. When the computer is not turned on but the monitor is, or when the computer is in "standby", the power button goes orange. After turning on the actual computer monitor screen remained pure black, and that the switch remained orange. The computer itself seems to turn on normally, the green light in the back turns on and remains solid, the two fans inside the Tower lights up and there is the noise of typical general snoring from the computer. Since then, I tried to unplug drain all the power and turn it back on, I reinstalled the RAM, I checked the card plugged into the VGA port has been completely connected (it was a problem in the past after sending in my computer when the VGA port had been fried. The symptoms at the time were essentially the same ones they are now corrected again when an operator HP had me check if this card was plugegd, it was not completely, I pushed it and it worked fine.) Anyway, this time I tried this card verification. I pushed a little more to check if that was the problem, it doesn't change anything. I tried another monitor (with a different cable), that doesn't change anything. My warranty on the computer turns off, so my only way to contact HP for help is with the online chat, and this conversation has done me any good. They had me try all the things I had already tried and then just told to take it into a store.

No, the second port works do not means that the embedded video is disabled. Here's a video explaining how to remove the video card. It has a tab, that you must move to release the card. Scroll down and you will see the different models.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01177594

It could still be the video card. Try to remove the card completely and the embedded video. Since your unable to see the screen, you can not enter the bios to see if the edge can be activated but sometimes when the card is to remove the edge can activate itself. If no luck, try another video card.

  • Portege M100 damaged Bios

    Hello

yesterday, I turned off my M100 in now the switch as he begins. Given that the power light flashes orange when I turn it on and nothing else happens.
I read that this means that the BIOS is damaged.

Is there a way to fix this or is it really the end of my small M100?

    Thank you.

    Hello!

You should try this first: remove the battery and the AC adapter, wait up to an hour and then connect the battery and AC adapter. Now you can try it again.

In the worst cases, the motherboard should be replaced. To do this, you can go to an authorized service provider.

  • Satellite M300 - does not start

    G ' Day

I have a M300 and it does not turn. When I plug in the adapter the orange charge light turns on and the light green card but the computer does not light when you hold the button.

Is this a problem with the charger, as I just buy a new one or is it the computer itself?

    Hello

    > Is this a problem with the charger, I just buy a new one or is it the computer itself?
In my opinion, this question is easy to answer: If your new AC/DC adapter is an original piece of Toshiba, the problem is with the computer itself. If this isn't the case, you should buy a new and original Toshiba AC adapter.

    Check it!

  • HP Pavilion p7-1529: HP Pavilion p7-1529 startup issues, no monitor activity

My HP Pavilion p7-1529 at start-up, the power led will Flash orange briefly, then turns off. The fan inside works perfectly well. To be attached to a monitor, the screen says "No Signal" even if the computer is on. The light output at the back is green and solid.

When the problem started first, the start light is blue but there is no response from the monitor and after leaving during several minutes, he would have himself automatically restarts and then fine. But the next day, what has happened, and it would be wrong to start. I think that there is something wrong with the boot priority in the BIOS.

I would try to reset the BIOS and boot priorities, but I don't know how to do that without being able to see the options on the screen.

Update: I did a reset of the BIOS and CMOS Battery, and now the starting lights turn blue again.

  • Satellite A30: when the adapter is connected the battery stops charging

Using a Satellite A30 about three years. Recent problem is that while the power adapter is plugged the battery stops in charge, the orange battery indicator turns off.

If you look at the power management utility battery poweer bed On Line, % of discharge meter

So he can load either, I have to turn the machine off (completely or to hibernate) then remove the power cable and reintegrate them, then the battery light turns on. When restart the battery will begin charging for a while, and then for no apparent reason in defence start.

If left reaches 0% battery - the machine continues to operate when the power cable is connected so its power do ok, but of course starts to beep when it goes below 10%. To get it going again, I need to stop and restart etc.

I have checked the bios and have the latest version.

I cleaned around the outlet heat exchanger and deleted all the fluff.

I use a generic adapter that the original does not, but as far as I can tell its working normally.

    All thoughts

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Your problem is caused by a bad connection where the power adapter is connected to the Jack at the back of your laptop. A slight movement of the cable causes a momentary loss of contact and electronics of management power in Notepad is deceived into beleiving that the battery is no longer available, in which case when the battery goes out and the laptop will return to the battery power even if the AC adapter is connected. As you have already discovered, turn off the laptop will be all back to normal.

I have experienced the same situation with my A30-141 and have not yet found one solution other than to resort to power off the laptop computer, but I managed to avoid the problem occurs by pinching the cable ca at the back of the laptop so that there is no risk of power do not connect the bending in order to trigger the problem in the first place. This has been a remarkable success to date, and I didn't have a problem for several months now.

Obviously, it is not a "cure" for the problem but the frustration it causes.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite M70-147 - the battery does not recharge

    Hello

I have a problem with my battery, it seems that it does not re - pay.
First of all, please read the following:

-When I start the laptop with AC power plugged the battery seems to be charged to 100% according to the Toshiba Power Saver.
-When I remove the block AC power the display brightness goes down, because it goes to the battery, until here everything is normal. However, you do not see the percentage decreases, it remains 100% which means fully charged.
-After a few minutes, an audible alarm indicating that the battery is almost dead. When the alarm sounds the Toshiba Power Saver then indicates that percentage is about 6%.
-Then I reconnect the power supply and turn on the orange light showing that the battery is charging. The light orange he should be in charge, but the percentage remains at 6%. But after 10 minutes the percentage suddenly increases to 100% and the orange charging light turns off.
-When I turn off the laptop and reboot immediately after that the alarm is triggered, the Toshiba Power Saver says also that the battery is fully charged or 100%. This seems a bit odd.

So my question is: what is the problem with the battery? or is there something wrong with AC/DC adapter? could result in the fact that he does not seem to charge more. Or is there something wrong inside the laptop.

If anyone has an idea please let me know, thanks for now.

    > After a few minutes, an audible alarm indicating that the battery is almost dead. When the alarm sounds the Toshiba Power Saver then indicates that percentage is about 6%. I think I know what's wrong.
Your battery seems to be dead.
My old laptop battery can be used for about 2 min even it s fully charged.
It pays for 2 min, then it s completely empty.
Is nothing unusual as the battery slowly loses the own performance and it s just a matter of time where he died.
I don't need a new battery because I m using Notepad as compensation for my desktop PC and the laptop is always connected to the sector.

But if you need to use the battery, then you will need to replace it with a new one.

    Good bye

  • How to use Bluetooth?

I want to just send and receive files on my laptop, how do I do this? It keeps telling me to plug in the device. So I plugged my phone by USB, and it's always tell me to plug in the unit. The only way I can now send files is USB, but I would prefer Bluetooth.

Using the LV is very simply.
For two months, I have LG BL40 new chocolate GSM and I use it with Qosmio X 300.
Here is the use of mobile phone with laptop not using BT:

    # Activate the WLAN using the WLAN switch on your laptop (LED orange must be turned on)
    # Activate the BT module by using the FN + F8 key combination (maybe this will start installation BT module first). Wait until the BT equipment is installed correctly
    # Activate the BT on your mobile phone
    # Click right mouse on the BT symbol in the taskbar and select the option Add a new connection
    # The new connection wizard will open. Leave the express mode option and click NEXT. When the phone is found and displayed in the window to go again to the NEXT. Confirm the pin code and your phone will be connected to your laptop.
    # The new icon will appear in the window settings Bluetooth. Click with the right button of the mouse and select the Connect option.
    # You can now use your mobile phone as modem.

For data transfer using wireless file transfer option. You can see this option, if you click with the right button of the mouse on the BT symbol in the taskbar.

    All that s.

    Hi all

My first post to this forum - I have a new laptop of Toshiba Satellite A660 - only had for about 4 weeks and it turns out be a disaster for me...

Firstly - I spend weeks getting everything on and configured as I want - then the hard drive begins to die...

Internal broadcom wireless adapter doesn't work - but according to windows and built-in Diagnostics it works...

HOWEVER - when I try to use wireless with the built-in adapter may not detect all wireless networks...

I then plug in my adapter netgear usb wireless backup and I can pick up and connect both of my wireless home networks...
I am moving abroad in a few weeks and need to know that my laptop will work/be reliable and not have any problems-if anyone can help me with this, it would be much appreciated.

I don't know how you got that, but it worked for me, I was a little leary about just install a driver immediately, I didn't know if she was going to do much for me.  Then I went and turned off the bluetooth and could instantly see that it worked.  Enabled the bluetooth and instantly stopped working.  So I decided I would try the pilot and would find a way to correct if it didn't work, and he did.  After installing the driver, light now works as it should, and bluetooth and everything else with the computer working properly again.  Thanks for the tips of genius.
