  1 week ago I decided to buy a new laptop for answering me work practices and I decided for Toshiba Equium L300-146, which is new and not expensive (350 pounds). However, I am totally disappointed in this respect. He has a better processor L30 and more large hard drive, however, despite the fact that a module of 1 Gb 667 Mhz has been given, the computer can only work at 533 Mhz bus (tested by CPUId 1.45). I also tested the GPU clock, which is worse than ATI X200m. Before I bought this laptop, by Googling on the internet, I've seen people say x 3100 is better than Ati X200m and Memclock/GPUclock works at 400 MHz. On the L300, it's even worse than Intel GMA950 Chipset. I'm really disappointed with what I discovered. In addition, L300 has low L30 WIndows experience index.

  It's too late for me to change a new computer now. However, I wrote this hoping that TOSHIBA would have new BIOS upgrade so that the computer will completely Dram Bus 667 MHZ and better clock Mem/GPU that is indicated on the Intel Web site.

  I recently bought a Stor.e wireless adapter for use with my partner Stor.e 1 TB HDD laptop but I can't seem to connect to my laptop.

• Force wireless on Equium L300 - 17Q issue

  Since late 2008, I have this Equium L300 BRAND / 17Q. Since my laptop wireless resistance lower then any other pc. I'm even so close to the wireless router, but it is still 3-4 bars.
  I'm the only person at home using modem router
  My OS is Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit, installed license. All drivers up to date.

  Also why Toshiba does not provide any what BIOS more updated for this model.
  The latest version of the bios dated 2008, another way 3 years ago.
  Is the authorized Toshiba read these forums?

  They need develop a newer bios.

  If there is no reason why offer the new BIOS? Do you really think THAT BIOS is a magic bullet for every hardware problem?

  The old model works well with Vista and Win7 perfectly. A few months ago, I installed Win7 32 bit on friends L300. No problem at all. One thing was embarrassing for me, and it's HARD drive.

  OK I've updated HARD drive with more capacity and it was pretty hot so I put aluminum foil in order to reduce the temperature on the plastic cover.

  We tested the WLAN functionality also and everything was OK. If you use the WLAN without problem I think there is no reason to panic. Have you checked all the WLAN settings on your laptop?

  I bought a new laptop Toshiba Equium L300. Yesterday I couldn't connect to my Netgear router.
  It says on screen no network card installed, but in Device Manager it says everything is ok on my adapter. Which is a Realtek RTL 2 810.

  It's frustrating been at it all day without success
  Help, please.

  I'm not sure, but your wireless network adapter should sound like Realtek RTL8187B. The other may be the normal Lan device.

  Have you checked whether it s activated by the switch of portable equipment or the FN + F8 key combination?
  You can also try reinstalling the drivers wlan, you will find on the download page of Toshiba.

• Equium L300 unable to connect to my router using wireless

  I have a laptop Equium L300 and can't connect to my router using the wireless option.

  I am told that the wireless feature is disabled on my pc but the switch on the front is activated.

  Can connect with the cable is the wireless.

  Anyone know what this could be?

  Try pressing Fn + F8, only the activated Wifi become?

  In Device Manager, the wireless device is reported to work ok?

  Try a BIOS update as well.

  I recently had some problems with my laptop.
  A couple of weeks, I put in a disc of OpenSuse.
  It's not stable anything, but locked me out of my original Vista operating system.

  I reinstallled Vista Home Basic, but there are a few problems.
  Mainly, my wireless adapter does not work.

  When I flip the button to turn it on nothing happens and it is not recognized in Windows.
  I installed Atheros Driver, but still nothing happens, light is not yet.
