  • HP 15 F018dx: Order HP recovery discs

Hello. I plan to order a recovery disc for my HP laptop because I don't win 10 and I don't have an option to downgrade.

So, I have a few questions.

    1. I was check the command option Win 8.1 recovery disks for my HP system and it seems that the cost is from $45 plus shipping small. I think I read in another thread someone said that if you are still in warranty you can get for free.  Is this true? I think that 55 days there. Or I have to pay the tax and shipping?

    2. the Microsoft site there is an option to download win 8.1:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

I think that you need a product key. It would be another option if I wanted to come back to win 8.1? If so, I guess I need to locate the key.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Answering your question: -.

For question 1. HP does not ship recovery disc all the time, even if the unit is under warranty. Since the HP because designed a tool to inform its customers to create the recovery disk once they have bought the device. Since you have upgraded the operating system for Windwos 10 and want to return to Windows 8. 1. so if you have upgraded to Windows 10 is within 30 days, then you can restore Windows 8.1 without using the recovery disk. But if who crossed for 30 days, then you must order the HP recovery disk.

For Question 2. The Windows 8.1 you download on the Microsoft site would be a copy in the Windows retail and the key that was used for your system will not work with the retail windows, as it is an OEM version (Original equipment manufacturer). Then I suggest you to order the recovery disk that you can use it in future if the OS crashes or hardware failures.

  • order a recovery disc for pavilion dv6-3090tx

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion DV6-3090TX about 2 years. A few months back my laptop froze and wouldn't restart normally. I wiped the hard drive and installed a version on the theme of windows 7 (30 days activation is already passed) so I can continue to use it (in the middle of my Uni term) because I didn't have the original Windows 7 disc that was used to install on my laptop. A few days ago, my battery is dead (no longer charges-warning about replacing the battery keeps popping up) and I think it's because of the incompatibility between the os and the hardware. I want to order recovery disks for my laptop to prevent other problems like this happen and hope you re - install windows 7 Home premium that came with it originally.

Question 1-will it re - install all the parameters, including standard factory programs and the OS (windows 7)?

Question 2-if my warranty has expired, can I pay and how much?

I'm in new Zealnd, if it helps.

Appreciate any help I can get this,

    See you soon.

Thanks a lot for the post, but I chose to ring a number 0800 NZ and he ordered on the phone I found on the forum. (5-7 work days to arrive I hope so!) But your adivice I'll keep for future reference should something else happens :-|.

I appreciate the help, and thanks again.

    See you soon.

As far as I know that something like this is not possible. You can order the DVD media only.
If possible, try to get the original installation of Microsoft for the OS installation disc. All the necessary drivers, the tools and the utilities that you can download from the support page of Toshiba Europe - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

By the way: maybe some family member can order it for you in Greece and later of you send it.

  • Can Tecra S10 - I order a recovery to another disk?

Someone knows how to change the language of Windows 7 on a Tecra S10?
Can I just order a recovery disc Englsih from here:

If so, what is the price of these discs?

The PC has a license for the preinstalled Windows 7 Pro 32 bit German, and I need it in English.

    Hello

I doubt that this will be possible.

You can order the recovery disk only with the same Windows operating system which was preinstalled on your laptop.

If you need a different language of Windows or another version of windows, then you will need to purchase an original MS Windows disc.

This means that you will get the new clean operating system, drivers may be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.

  • Satellite M70: Where to order the recovery disks?

Anyone know where I can download or order the recovery disc for my M70, the place, I took it to get fixed has said that it cannot be repaired without them.

    Hello Luke

Your M70 does not come with recovery DVDs? As far as I know, it certainly comes with recovery DVDs and application please your local dealer on the subject.

The recovery image can not be downloaded only ordered by the Toshiba authorized service partner in your country.

  • This "Recovery disc" option will work with my PC?

I have a client who is an emergency wants to start to use their computers again (a HP Pavilion p6347c windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, product #: ay614aa #aba), so I have to stop chasing dead ends and ask them to buy a new PC - if it's what ultimately will happen anyway.

The SATA hard drive is dead. I installed a new, but we need the recovery disks to reinstall the OS Win7. I was all prepared to order on Friday evening on the HP site recovery disc, I was on the screen to enter a credit card number and I stopped to confirm the purchase by the customer, and when I got home, the hp recovery disk order online site had declined, until ' Sunday 26 9:00 AM CST. But this time has passed and the site is still not up. I have a bad feeling.

My work depends on not wasting any more time. I need to know the following:

    (1) the Web site will go online at any time in the next 24 hours? (was supposed to be lifted this morning)

    (2) my "build NUMBER" is "a1nav6pra2". The link
    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4063 & LC = on & CC = US & DLC = in & sw_lang = & Product = 4120...
I intend to use to order my recovery discs says:
    "windows 7 64B a1nav6pra1 + supp 7 recovery kit.
That is to say. "a1nav6pra1" instead of "a1nav6pra2". The gap of a figure is a problem?

    (3) HP recovery discs check the hardware to ensure that the material matches. I replaced death hard drive HITACHI (HITACHI 640 GB 7200 RPM SATA-II 16 MB of buffer "HDT721064SLA360") with a new SATA hard drive (SEAGATE st3500641as-rk, 500 MB, 16 MB cache, 7200 RPM).
Is there a reason the recovery disks will not be installed on this drive?

    Thanks for any help!

You can also call HP to the 800-474-6836 and ask to order a set of disks. The disks should work even with the gap of a figure. Sometimes, the recovery discs are reluctant to a hard drive that is smaller than the original disc to factory.

  • Cost of recovery disc (all?)? Hard drive just died out of warranty

DV7-3065DX, 16 months old and HD died a few days earlier, totally dead. I ordered a replacement, but now that I am out of warranty and of course I have no operating system (as it was on the disc now dead), can I order the disks with a discount at HP? Their office is closed now. Can I get Windows 7 family of Amazon for about a hundred bucks, but as I have a valid key on the back of this laptop hate the idea of paying for an OS I used legitimately. Thank you!

You can order a recovery disc of HP for around $ 16. The game will reinstall Windows and all original drivers & software on the laptop.
