  This is a typical and very common requirement.

  The solution is to store your media library as well as your catalog on an external drive.

  You can connect the external drive on both computers alternately. The performance is very good.

  I implemented a program that send BCD codes on a microcontroller (PIC16F877) (transmission of 8-bit each) via the USB port. Due to synchronization problems, data are transmitted continuously. I can receive the data on labview. However, I cannot read the data all the time and therefore the data read aren't on the right order. I added a starting framework to my data and I would like to know how I can move my bytes to organize them in the right order (Frame/Data1/Data2 /...)? (Perhaps using a loop with a comparison)

  So how can I select only some bits? Do I have to reset the other bits?

  There was a bug with older versions of PP.  We could not sort by any of the Date fields.

  This has been fixed, so remember that you run 2015.4.

  I have a few pieces of music that have the album artist and song metadata added. I move the files in my music folder. In Windows Media Player, the songs are grouped together in an album with titles correctly. I thought that WMP would move the files in the folders (album or artist), but the files are not moved.

  Hi - Yes, you can add the music in any way that the costumes, but if you want organized by folder (and this is not already the case) you must create a folder of artist - and then in this context, a record album...   I have a small concert photo editing that come to me (by email), all day, like a daily assignment. It can be of 3 photos, it may be 50. But they all get made and sent this day there. I have... 2 computers. We are old and for my photography only (a brick, but a giant screen). When I download pictures from my camera it automatically creates folders by date in Lightroom and it's very nice - to me. I understand that a LOT of people hate organization photography by date, but it works. If I went to Yosemite on 22 August, I'll remember that and search for that date.

  Nevertheless, with this editing work, on my main computer, I have a new version of Lightroom and it works just not for me. I want to have a record for the 07/10/16 function when the photo was imported, not based on me literally creating a folder and typing on. How can I get Lightroom to create a new folder for each import? I don't want to spend time, not getting paid, creating folders to folders on my computer just to organize the photos every day - is not point of Lightroom to, at least in some way, help to literally to organize your photos? Automatically?

  My apologies if I'm missing some HUGE key point here!

  Lightroom to create folders by date of capture. This seems different from what you're talking about, you have the ability to create folders by date of importation. Lightroom which does not (unless the date of importation is identical to the date of capture).

  It is also not clear to me that in the future, you will remember that you have imported the photos of Yosemite on 07/10/16, and I don't think that this is a good method in the long term, unless you have a better memory of anyone I have ever met (and I am very skeptical that you have such a great memory) , years from now you will not remember the date that you imported photos. If you use the word Yosemite to organize, you will remember that and you won't have to stop and think what day you imported photos.

First of all, no software can anticipate all the possible needs of the user, it's records by date of importation (based on my experience of reading these similar forums and) organizing method rather rarely discussed, I don't remember someone ask before, so that the files by date of capture is a common way of doing things. That would explain why Lightroom isn't a feature to create folders by date of importation.

  The other point that you are missing, it's that Lightroom has been designed to provide organizing tools that are not easily available in your operating system.   Media Player does not follow the folder hierarchy

  I use Windows 7 64-bit with 64-bit Windows Media Player 12.0.7601.17514. I have the custom navigation pane (right-click) to include the 'folder '. When I open the media player to watch the library and then click under Pictures folder icon in the navigation pane, I can see "C:" in the library with an image (randomly?) one of my photo folders. If I then double-click this picture above the "C:", it seems to descend in my repertoire to a level 'Users' with the same image as above indicated. If I double-click now this photo above 'users', once more, it seems down my a level my file directory %USERPROFILE%, and once again it has the same image as demonstrated previously.

  At this point if I click on my user name, New Media Player explores in my repertoire. • Can I use Organizer to change the size of .jpg of all photos in a folder in a batch process?

  We use wa-a-ay too much disk space for a growing collection of photography.   My daughter is a monster of a camera with four children - have to - I say more?

  
  

  In my current test file, the size of the original photos range from 2.3 MB to 4.2 MB.  I took a picture at random and printed original and then three more, saved by PSE9 as .jpg files with quality average, maximum and minimum settings on regular letter-size paper and still on paper photo 4 x 6.  It takes a magnifying glass and a kneecap calibrated to detect a difference on paper, and it is even more difficult on photo paper.  I think that I should take the pressure off the hard drive capacity of all reduce to a more reasonable size; After all, minimum quality printing takes less than 1% of the space like the print quality.

  You are the only one to judge... You won't regret it if you want to use photos with the size and the original resolution at a later date?

  Yes, you can use the organizer or the command 'treat multiple files' Editor. But first, you should think about two questions:

  -Are you ready to save full resolution and size files before the "shrinkage"? External USB drives with large capacities are available and affordable.

  -What you say, the optimum size would be for files resized to size 4 "x 6" at 300 DPI in 8 to 10 jpeg quality.

  Resizing the Editor: use the command 'treat multiple files' and click on the button "Same as source". I do it without a backup of first sound... This can be done per-folder.

  Resizing of the Organizer: use the 'Export' command This command leaves the original and puts the files in a new folder. The resulting files are NOT included in the catalogue. This means that the maintenance of your organization (albums, categories, tags,...) will be difficult. even if you use a file management system.

  Another solution with third party software such as Faststone photo resizer:

  -Absolutely do a full backup before

  -Run the resizing of the external software options so that files are resized without being moved. Replacing the originals.

  -If you use the Organizer, your organization will be preserved, but the size of the files in the catalog databases and the thumbnail will be wrong. You can recreate the thumbnail cache by deleting the thumbs.5.cache file in your catalog folder. It will be rebuilt automatically.
