• PSE8 Organizer with PSE9 Editor

  I agree with your point of view on PSE 8 Organizer. I'd also rather for the same reason. My job is to have 2 monitors. I keep PSE8 Organizer on the left and editor-in-Chief of PSE9 on the right. Then I drag around. My catalog paths and parameters in the two organizers is the same. PSE9 edited items will appear in 8... Make sure your "watched folders" settings are defined, and then the same in the two organizers. Its a little awkward... but it works for... but me, I'm just a new type of PES.

  NO.

  The Organizer in PSE9 is a file separate from PSE8. If you use PSE9 as a trial to see if you want to spend the money on it, you probably do the work in the two organizers for 30 days.

  Each organization is logically different.

  You can configure LDAP in the two organization to import the same user account, but they will not always see the two organisations because each Org has its own URL/isolation.

  So yes, you can use the same credentials, but they are always different accounts.

  There is no way to capture the Department of an employee in the assignment except FDF window.

  But I can't understand why you want to capture this.

  You can make the organization with a different Type as (Department, Section, unit or other) and to that organization, you can assign employees.

• Organizer of understanding

  In the organizer of PSE9, when I in "File Location" and I click on my 2011 file, it only shows 3 photos.

  When I opened my 2011 file in the "Finder", there are hundreds of photos.

  Return to Organizer: when I'm in the thumbnail view, I see all the pictures that are in my folder of 2011.  Click to display 'Properties' to one of the photos taken this year, and the path to the pictures led to my 2011 folder.

  Can you tell me why they don't appear in the organizer when that I consult in 'File Location'

  For the location of the folder will be displayed only photos not in subfolders.

  In the left pane, you need to click on the plus sign next to your 2011 folder to expand the tree and click on each subfolder separately.

• Elements Organizer and Image Editor differences?

  I noticed that the images displayed by Photoshop elements Organizer are noticeable different from the display of a picture of the item editor file.  Why does this happen and is there a way to fix one or the other shows.  Generally, the image of the Organizer seems to have more color saturation when the image is displayed in the editor.  As a side note, the same image in the Photoshop CS5 Editor seems to look the same as it does in the element Editor.

  Other information: I have a 64-bit Windows 7 system with two calibrated monitors.  It does not matter the image that appears on what monitor - the image of the PSE organizer always has a greater color saturation.

  The Organizer displays a miniature version of the image while the editor is made the actual image.

  They should be very close, but in the values of saturation.

  You can try to right click on an image in the organizer and selecting thumbnail update to see if the newly generated tile is better.

• Where is advanced preferences dialog in Elements 9?

  Always in recent versions of items under Organizer Preferences (card reader) there were the Edit option to change to 'Show ODA dialogue (Standard) to 'see the Dialog APD (Advanced)'.

  I have ALWAY's changed this preference and used Downloader elements in this advanced mode. It is essential to view the photos on a memory card and use the checkboxes that it provided to check or uncheck for the photos that you want to select this option to download (or no download)

  Now PSE 9 this option seems to no longer exist?  The Option is either ' Show ODA dialogue (standard)'-which as in other versions is the default value.  The ONLY other option is 'automatic download ' which I don't ever want to.  I've looked everywhere but I can't find the Advanced Option anywhere.

  Previously, if you set the option in the preferences of the Organizer, you had a checkbox on the standard Downloader window to switch to the advanced download, then get the same options to choose which photos to download/leave on the map.  That option is no longer there either on the standard APD Downloader window.

  Certainly, the way to Advanced APD dialogue to use the Downloader has NOT been programmed excluding items - to do so would be crazy?

  Can anyone help with this one please?  (without him, Elements 9 is going to be horrible to use when you download her photos from a memory card)

  It seems that pse9 has different requirements for the minimum

  resolution of the screen than pse8. I set my screen resolution of 1360 x 768

  pse9 does not display the Advanced dialog box, then pse8 will be. If I put the

  If I set the resolution to 1024 x 768, pse8 then displays the Advanced dialog box.

  but pse9 will not.

  So it seems that the minimum screen resolution of height is 800 pixels for pse9,

  While pse8 768 pixels in height.

  What you are missing is that the files have no command - they do not export in any order - the program you look with provided the order according to the user settings - if you look in the finder, and then in the view finder menu, each user who views the photos can organize in many different ways, including by name, size, application , date created, etc. - you and the Photos have no control over that--the user looks a it - they do not export in any ordr of all - the Viewer control defines the order of

  I copied the files using Desktop Manager for a memory card on my phone.  Some files are in .xls format and most are in PDF format.

  I have some problems.

  (1) how can I look at the files that are on the media card, and organize files in different folders etc. i.e. is there an application to manage the files. I went to the Applications, Slideshow to Go, then to "Open a file" and traveled to \Media Card\Blackberry\documents where the files should be and nothing shows.

  (2) once I find them, how can I view PDF files - those for example.

  To test this situation, I sent an email from my computer at home test attaching one of these PDF files that was in the file \Media Card\Blackberry\documents as expected. I noticed that each file in the folder had a "?" icon next to it.

  I forwarded email happened to my home computer and I was able to view the PDF file I sent.

  When I went back to my e-mail folder and tried to see - on my phone the attachment I sent it came with the message "this type of attachment cannot be seen on the device.

  I would move all the photos in my Organizer to another drive on the same computer to free up space and have all future uploaded images go directly on the same drive.  In other words is it possible to have the program on the operating system drive and photos in the Organizer on a different drive on the same computer.

  Yes.

  The new drive can be another internal drive or external.

  Two ways:

  1. move the files by 'drag and drop' in the left panel of "folders". You can move folders (with their subfolders) to another location (another drive or main folder). That works just like drag and drop in Solution Explorer / finder with the difference that the catalogues guard trace the location of the files. that doesn't create files "disconnected".

  Tips: you can do so for only a part of the your folder tree or the entire folders tree. Takes it to process on the same time as the drag and drop in Solution Explorer / finder. No dialog box to indicate that the process is running, be patient! For a big move, I would do a full backup before.

  2 - the backup and restore process recommended (move Adobe elements Organizer catalog by using the backup and restore |) Photoshop and first Elements 6 or later version) also works at your needs. While it is specifically intended to move to another computer, it works the same for a move to another drive.

  I could mention a third way: move the folders from the Explorer / Finder, then immediately run the function 'reconnect', but it is usually much easier and safer to use one of the solutions above.

  If your goal is to move all your media files from several readers to a single, backup / restore is the solution. The restoration will put the result on a single master folder with a master subfolder for each former player.

• Could not locate the saved slide show

  I created an album, then a slide show containing nearly 200 slides.  I was sure to save and name; now I can't find it.  When I open Photoshop Elements 9 there is no menu item, (i, e, produce, display, change) through the top, I see so no way to "open a saved project.  I can see the album on the right and can access the original photos from there, but I can't find the slide show.  Some WOULD help it took me hours to create, thank you.

  There are many ways to find your slideshows in Photoshop multimedia elements.

  1. If you know the name of your slideshow (s), you can search for them by using the search box in top left of the media (the area with your image thumbnails) browser.

  2. you can have media browser show only projects (for example, slide shows):

  A: will find > by media Type > projects (hotkey Alt + 4).

  B: go to View > media and uncheck all other types in addition to projects.

  3. If you know that when you have created, you slideshow (s), you can limit what the media browser shows this date range (find > Set date range or by using the timeline (under the window menu)).

  4. If you are in the location of the folder display mode, navigate to this folder:

  A: Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\PSE9\projects

  B: Windows Vista/7 - C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\PSE9\projects

• Original photos and metadata - mac PSE10

  I simply copied .jpg files that were previously imported in PSE8 Organizer on my pc to my mac.  Previously, the photos in the Organizer have been marked in PSE8 on the pc.

  I imported the .jpg files on my mac for use within the PSE10.  During the import, a dialog box asks if I would like to import tags keyword as well as files.

  Key words are 'written' in the original files?  Are there hidden files or is the witten of metadata in the original file?  I was always under the impression that the PSE was non-destructive to the original .jpg files?

  Theoretically the tags only exist in the catalog, not in the files, unless you do something to cause it to be added to the files. In this case, one of the activities which causes them to get written to the files sent a file to the Publisher.
