  • Qosmio X 870 - 13p - how to restore the original key elements?

Use the volume buttons + /-on the keyboard, I just had to push for example to increase the volume of your PC or put a song on a break. Now it does not work, I have to press the "Fn key" to use these keys.

If anyone has an idea how to restore the original key elements?

There are two options for the mode of function keys:
-special function mode (you don't need to press the FN key n)
    -standard mode of F1 - F12

Please check which option is set to your laptop.
You can find it when you open the office assist > system settings > keyboard.

Check and if necessary change the special function mode.

  • Presario CQ5720F: Changed the motherboard, need original key from windows 7 to get my replacement windows 10 key

Hi there, I don't know if I'll have some luck with this question, because my computer is a few years old. A few months ago I asked a friend to help me to update my old computer, which he did, but it seems to cause problems with my OS. I believe that my machine originally supplied with Windows 7 on it, and I was updated for Windows 10 a little so that before all this. So long story short, my friend updated my PC successfully, but when he was done my version of Windows 10 now shows the text "Activate Windows" on the lower right.  I was told that it was because my internal hardware had been changed, but when I contacted Microsoft to get a new key, they needed my original key of Windows 7 so that they give me a free replacement key Windows 10.

I doubt that I'll be able to get assistance to get a new key for this machine, as it seems that all official support, I tried to get all of lead them to dead ends. I'd appreciate help on the question if this means that I can save my money and not end up having to buy a new key for Windows 10.

The computer (your desktop, right) provided with Windows 7 Home Premium. There was a sticker key Code on the case. What happened to him?

  • borrowed a vista installation disk to do a clean install can not activate my original key, it happens that does not apply as long as its an OEM key!

My son borrowed a vista installation disc to do a clean install on my packard bell laptop using my original key of portable computers, everything is fine, but yesterday I tried to activate the key it happens that does not apply as long as its an OEM key! What can I do now? If I use my laptop recovery DVD will it be recognized by the operating system?

    Help please!

The only "original" key on your laptop is on the COA sticker on the case - and NOT that of a magical JellyBean or Belarc Key recovery program.

    Hi yayatisharma,

Product key Finder programs are USELESS for Vista computers preinstalled, as they find the product key of plant manufacturers, which is used for installations of mutiple during Assembly of the computer.

This key will not help you reinstall Vista!

If you communicate with HP they will post you Recovery DVD for a low price to reinstall Vista and they do NOT require a product key

Or ask the use of the recovery Partition, which must be copied to the hard drive HP

  • Don't have the original keys, how can I add a new version?

Hello everyone. Some time ago I posted about an error message I was getting when I tried to add a new version of an existing application. The error was:

File bundle (MyApp.bar) was rejected. Package ID is required for all .bar file. If this is an upgrade, ID of Package must match ID of Package in the bundle of original file.

My Package ID are correct, and after contacting the support AW repeatedly told me to sign with my original keys. Problem is I don't have my original keys. Is there any way I can update my app now?

Sad thing is - no.  The "signature" application is the app id + keys which makes the unique application on the device.  Without the original key, the software will not have same signature.  He was advised by RIM to save files of related keys (necessary database search form).

One might think that RIM would maintain a copy of which was distributed to a developer to be able to re - download and avoid this mess.  Or the opportunity to re-edit the keys short of context.

  • Request a product key after 3 years. Product included with Dell original keys do not work.

Over the past two days, Windows started asking me to validate my product code.  This, despite the fact that I had the same OS since May 2007.  I do not know what prompted the change, but I have two codes of product on the CD provided by Dell.  One is for the OS, the other is for Microsoft Office professional 2007.  The only other CD received with the system is Dell XPS drivers and resources.  No Microsoft Product Code is acceptable for this verification process.

Which MAY have been prompted by installing a new motherboard - the previous Dell motherboard had to be replaced due to several bad capacitors.  However, not sure how this affects the o/s installed previously.  The computer works in a manner consistent with the change of the motherboard for about 2 weeks now.  The new motherboard is a 2.67 image system and RAM has been improved at the same time to 4 GB.   I thought I would include these changes even if they seem not related to the evolution of the o/s.

    Thank you.

Thanks for the replies, I will examine in detail a little later.

No, in answer to your question - the new motherboard is not made by Dell.  Dell had a problem a few years with the defective capacitors - although there are a few motherboards of Dell stock, there is no interest to replace an original motherboard with bad capacitors, with a new Board of Directors with the same problems.  Dell has replaced bad motherboards a couple of years, but mine had not blown at the time, and I'm not "excluded".

In addition, the replacement with Dell motherboard is $400 + US dollars for a dual core (and comes with the same potential problem of capacitor), while I was able to get a new card with a quad core locally for about $250.  Is not supposed for several points of view to do otherwise, I think.

The system doesn't seem to work with a few minor quirks, what are the consequences of inaction?  I can't afford to raise more money on this problem, as I am a student full time and cannot afford to replace the operating system...

    He@ther

Provided by the Dell original OS keycode will OPERATE ONLY with a card mother Dell. You can buy a new key code which, by chance, usually comes with the installation media.

You may have saved money on the Exchange and got yourself a better computer, but still you have to pay $400 after buying a new operating system. Look on the bright side, for $400, you have a more powerful computer. Consider making Windows 7.

  • Satellite Z30 - A - 1-2 - How to re activate the original key

    Hello
    I have Toshiba Satellite Z30 - A - 1 2 and recently my home / end / pg buttons (etc) stopped working.
When I press the FN key and the House, I get 7.

The FN key is working o.k. - I can use it to adjust the volume, etc. without any problems.

I see that there are several options on the same button FN - & 7-7 home
The 7 and the home button are the colors of FN button - but I can't use it to get the home function to work.
