OS 10.11.4 invisible printer

Since upgrading to OS 10.11.4 we now see our Sharp MX3610N printer on our mixed Mac/PC network. We have installed the latest driver for OS 10.11 but still could not find the printer. First of all, we could see and print to it, but after restarting the computer, the printer has disappeared. There is an old Mac still on the network; We turned on printer sharing on this computer, and we are able to print this way. Any suggestions how to solve this problem?

I use a thin 2012 27 "iMac (running OS 10.11.4), another iMac (running OS 10.11.3) bought recently and has the same problem.

A network printer uses the Hello Protocol to announce itself in the add a printer window. You may have a problem with this Protocol, well that seems strange that both Mac would have the same problem. Anyway, the good news is that you do not use Bonjour to add a network printer. If you can determine what IPv4 address by using the printer, you can usually find this via the control panel of the printer, then you can add the printer using one of the IP protocols included with OS X, such as HP Jetdirect-Socket or Line Printer Daemon-LPD. When you select this option to add the printer, but the default view is displayed, click IP in the toolbar, and then enter the Sharp IPv4 address. Then, set the protocol - first try HP Jetdirect. Change the name of Sharp MX3610N and in the menu, go to the supported PPD Sharp. Then click Add to complete the creation of the printer and then see if you can print.

  • LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw - network that is always visible to the public problem

    I have a laptop IBM running on Windows 7. I know that supposedly the SSID is supposed not to be visible when printing, but mine is always available and visible in the network Internet connections access bar at any time.  I can tell when neighbors are trying to open a session to serve as a Wi - Fi connection because the printer resets.  How can I make the invisible printer on the network?  The only way I can see to do disappear from the list of available wireless networks is to put off the printer.  Is there another way?

    I read:

    "The 'HP - Print - b9 - Laserjet 100' network is the ssid wireless direct to your printer for printing spot, but is based on the activity in a way (if there is no activity on the connection - i.e. print jobs - the connection is lost)."

    However, my connection is still available.

    There may only be two reasons for the SSID broadcast: the Ad - hoc is currently listed or Direct wireless function has been enabled (it is disabled by default).

    The SSID certainly resembles a Direct SSID wireless as an ad-hoc ID does not list default print.

    Perform these steps on the printer:

    1. go to settings.

    2. go in the Network Configuration.

    3. go wireless.

    4. check that the Direct wireless is enabled.  If this is the case, turn it off and the SSID you listed should be listed.

    Now, the ad - hoc connection will then broadcast.  Ad hoc is the standard wifi adapter when there is no network printer wifi connection.  Since you don't want the printer listed at all and you use a wired connection, I recommend you to disable the wifi function all together.

    This can be done by going into the menu wireless, where direct wireless scored, and turn wireless off.

    These measures will not affect the Ethernet or USB connections.  They're going to turn it off completely direct wireless and the wireless radio.

  • OfficeJet Pro L7590 not instal software

    My printer (Officejet Pro L7590) has been installed and working fine for many months.  Today an update came through that made the invisible printer of HP software.  It is visible on my network like I can see his name and ip address, but all of the HP software is unable to see.  It will not install via a cable connection either.

    Someone please a suggestion that we are without a printer.

    His decided to install today, now fixed but I have no explanation as to why it would not be installed.  The firewall is off and many other things done to ensure he could install.

  • Everything is ok for 64-bit, printer INVISIBLE to 32-bit applications applications

    Hello

    I am running Win7Pro64SP1 on a Z800 work and recently had a crash of partial disc in which some areas followed her into oblivion - repair disk etc. and reinstalls a few, almost everything came back ok, but here and there I still stumble on a corrupted dll must be replaced.

    Today, I saw that Adobe Reader could not print on my OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus, which is on the ethernet network. Never had a problem with the drive before... so I reinstalled everything to drive but nothing helped, even if Wordpad print without problem and I can scan with the printer (that is, communication with it's not a problem). So I installed the latest all-in-One driver for the printer, but always without success. Then I run the application "HP print and scan of doctor" who told me that everything was absolutely PERFECT... except that when I tried to print the test page, nothing came out of the printer. But the 'doctor' gave me the ability to print a "test internal page"... and this printed an ok!

    Then I noticed this: whenever I tried to print from a 64-bit (such as Wordpad) application, everything went very well... but for applications 32-bit (for example Adobe Reader) the printer is invisible! We are in the company of software development and have 32 and 64 bit versions of everything we do, so I tried to print from one of our software in Java: the 64-bit version printed ok, but gave me the 32-bit version of exactly the same pot

    java.awt.print.PrinterException: no printer found.

    So clearly, (1) the printer is ok, (2) communication with her is ok, but (3) the printer "does not exist" in 32 bit, even if it is in 64-bit! So I obviously tried to install at least the base of 32 bits for the printer drivers... but was advised to install the 64-bit version instead (which I already did, successfully).

    I know that drivers (such as printer drivers) are dll and you cannot mix many different bits in the same image, but given the number of applications that still exist in 32-bit only, I thought that the all-in-one installer for 64-bit (OJ8600_1315.exe) install them 63 AND 32 bit drivers?

    Any idea on how I can do 32-bit applications on top of the printer, too?

    Thank you very much for your advice!

    I have SOVED it:

    -remove the printer and then reinstalled by specifying "I'll connect LATER. I do not know if this installed the driver locally, but probably so: I was able to print the Test Page

    - then I spotted the Net for posts about similar problems and found that many people had the 32-bit spooler (splwow64.exe) if crush... so I checked where that file was on another Win7 machine and found that it is in C... If on Windows my computer the file was not there! It must have gone in the crash...

    -J' copied splwow64.exe on the other machine to C:\Windows and everything works well again in 32 and 64 bit

    Conclusion: the spools are not the same to print from applications of 32 and 64-bit, check both. Hope this can help some of you.

  • Print an invisible table

    Hello

    to print an invisible table must be defined before size:
        table.setSize(table.getPreferredSize());
    But if the invisible table itself contains tables, this is not enough, it seems.
    The following codes puts two visible tables in an invisible. But when
    try to print this out, not only the output is too small and empty, but the
    visible paintings disappears from the Panel as well. No idea why?

        }
      }

      public JTable createTable(String[][] data) {
        return new JTable(data, new String[]{"Count", "Name"});
      }

      class SubTableRenderer implements TableCellRenderer {
        public Component getTableCellRendererComponent(JTable table, Object value,
              boolean isSelected, boolean hasFocus, int row, int column) {
          if (row==0 || row==2) {
         return new JScrollPane((JTable)value);
    //     return (JTable)value; // Table is visible, but no header.
          }
          else {
         return new JLabel();
          }
        }
      }

    }

    With 'invisible' I don't want no 'empty', but "not understood", "not displayed".

    You can take the completed component but not visible:

    //table.setSize(table.getPreferredSize());
    table.setPreferredSize( new Dimension(300, table.getPreferredSize().height) );
    JFrame frame = new JFrame();
    frame.setContentPane( table );
    frame.pack();

    the width is too small.

    This is because when you create a table, the width of each column as the default value of 75 pixels. If you want a larger table then override the default width (as demonstrated above).

    but the visible tables disappear from the Panel as well. No idea why?

    I have no idea why the table disappears from the image.

    How can I prevent non-visible form elements in an interactive PDF for printing? I have a button that is set to invisible in an interactive PDF, based on a radio button is selected. • Printing of invisible fields

    I have a couple of forms that have invisible fields I have script to become visible only when the user selects 'Yes' on some radio buttons when you fill out the form in Reader. They work great, but the problem is that we have some "old school" users who still prefer to print the form and then fill them out by hand (sometimes you just can't teach old dogs new tricks!). We are ok with this, but it means that the invisible fields do not print. I thought maybe by switching 'Visible (printing only)' could solve this problem, but then they don't show up for the majority of users who actually fill the form digitally.

    Is it possible to set these fields so that they will display if the user prints a blank form to complete by hand?

    Maybe a script pre printed that said: "if [mandatory fields] is empty (which would mean that the user is most likely printing a blank form), then change the fields 'Invisible' to"Visible '?" What would this script?

    Or y at - it an easier way?

    Thanks for any help!

  • When printing the page data in Schwab, the police are so tiny, that it is almost invisible - it does not occur in Windows Exploror.

    20/02/2013 all impressions was normal. 21/02/2013 not only printing did not work, but PDF files did not appear correctly. Is this a new version of Firefox? I got the PDF reset so that it now works, but not printing. In the Comcast e-mail, the date moves way right and forces the smaller font. When I uncheck 'reduced to adjust', it encapsulates not the text but rather chops it off when I increase the font size.

    Today I tried the printed pages of Schwab by using their "Print Page" button that has always worked in the past, but today it was illegible.

  • El Capitan is not found Epson printer cable

    El Capitan using, I had my Epson unplugged for a week, finally plugged back in and restarted, has added a new driver from Apple, which seems to be the only choice and now he refuses to appear in preferences, printers and scanners. If your Mac do not see your printer or have the software for it

    These steps can help if you tried to print from your Mac, but your printer does not appear in the pop-up menu printer, or your Mac displays a message that the software for your printer is not available.

    1. Make sure your printer is ready to print. Check for paper and other supplies and resolve any error lights or error messages. Check the printer documentation or contact the manufacturer if you need help with an error.
    2. If your printer is connected to the USB port of your Mac, unplug the printer.
    3. Your Mac software downloads for most printers automatically, is usually not necessary to install the software from the manufacturer of the printer. Always check the updates for you ensure that your Mac has the latest information on the printer.
    4. If your printer is not connected to your wired network, wireless networkor the USB port of your Mac, plug it back now.
    5. Open an item that you want to print, then choose print in the file menu.

    Hello!

    My printer was in a wifi network and worked flawlessly for 8 months.

    Now, it is invisible to all the computer connected to the same wifi network.

    I already entered the service menu and I have already made one: partial and semi full reset.

    [content removed]

    I need a FULL / HARD reset! As in the conditions of the factory restore!

    How can I do?

    The printer can use wifi network! No Ethernet cable or usb!

    Thank you very much!

    Hey @Pm2r,

    Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

    I understand that you are experiencing some problems with printer e-all-in-one Officejet 8620 communicates is not with your PC. I can help you with that.

    To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. While the printer is turned off, disconnect the power cable from the back of the router for a minute.
    3. When the lights come back on the router, turn on the printer.

    Now, on the printer, click on the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower.

    • If you see a line indicating the status: not connected, the printer is not connected to your wireless network. Click speed, wireless and Wireless Setup Wizard to connect the printer to your network.
    • If the IP address starts with 169, the printer is not getting a valid IP address of the router. Contact which provided you your router to determine why the router is not getting an IP address valid.
    • If the IP address of the printer starts with 172, the printer is connected to a network of comments. Contact those that you provided with the router for assistance with deactivation of the feedback network.
    • If the IP address of the printer starts with 192.168 or 10, the printer is properly connected to a network. Please see below.
    • If the IP address of the printer begins with any other number, the network is maintained. Contact one that keeps your support network.

    At this point, you should be able to print wireless. If you still can not, on any device that prints the PC enter the IP address of the printer in an address bar. If you are able to access embedded web page the printer, please let me know.

    Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to print, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • Color LaserJet MFP Pro 277dw: MFP will print but not scan since update Mac OS 10.10.5

    I had used my LaserJet MFP Pro wireless without problem for several years, with the Mavericks and Yosemite.  A few weeks ago a "update" the printer system is invisible.  After several hours of troubleshooting and to try five or six corrections, I finally got the printer online by using the IP address.

    My computers, however (a performer of the Mavericks and a Yosemite running), do not see the scanner.  It's not a question of adding - they do not to add it.  By HP support, I have reset the system print and tried to start over.  I downloaded HP Easy Print (or Easy Start or whatever), which is the entire site of support in the way of software for the 277dw of the ACM.  The software through me the entire upward and congratulated himself for a job well done, but my printer was not, in fact, related.  He appeared in the printers Control Panel, but would not print.  Just "connecting to printer" in the queue for ten minutes about until what I called off work.  And the scanner does not yet show in the Image Capture, preview or HP Easy Scan.

    So, I went back to my previous fix for the printer, use the IP address.  Any ideas on how to get the scanner appears?

    Hello

    Restart your router by unplugging its power for 30 seconds.

    Once it is fully up and you have internet access on your Mac reboot both the HP printer and the Mac.

    From system preferences, select Printers and scanners and click on the plus sign to add the printer again.

    Can you now ee he listed as Hello type or not?
