  When I use any search engine to find information on the Internet, I get results back as usual. However when I click on any of the results I am re-directed to a completely different site. I think I have a virus, but it is NOT detected by my Internet McAfee security software. Does anyone have advice on this?

  I have a too simplified site, simple, ourhealthcarecrisis.com pages, and my client wants the text formatted in a way that I'm not currently able to provide, mainly because I'm still new to creating Web sites. In order to give the appearance of his text, I used a screenshot of the MS Word document that he wants me to duplicate. It is not pretty, at least for me, but like the look to the customer.

  Here's the problem: when he types the name of his site, ourhealthcarecrisis (less the ".com"), in Google it does not see the results he wants. The only text that appears, 'create the FHIA,' comes a version previously downloaded from the site. I don't know how to 'day' information with Google and it frustrates him that I can't do what he wants.

  I know that the search engines are looking for internal text in addition to the metatags and keywords, but for the moment I am at a loss for options. I understand that the formatting of the text itself, is what really needs to be done, but at the moment I can not give him.

  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  No amount of manipulation will have noticed, and this operation time would be better spent learning creating HTML and web page.

  The best remedy is to enter all the text as living HTML text. Search engines love text alive. Then the search engines will find and classify correctly.

  What did you struggle with what prevents you from entering in all the content on this page live HTML text?

  It's OK again for the creation of Web sites. We were all once. But it doesn't take long to learn enough to properly set up the page with the live text.

  I pushed my live Webcam site and I am currently watching my site customer base of "Woorank.  There are a lot of areas that I can inprove for SEO, and they seem quite simple to take care of. However they give a lot of suggestions need to intervene directly in the HTML... well, I chose Muse, so I didn't have to deal with the jazz.  So, here's a list of the items I'm looking to improve my site and I'm looking for 'how' in Adobe Muse. I find and playback through Adobe "Strategies of SEO" at http://www.adobekb.com/strategies_for_seo.html#addingtitles but I still have unanswered questions.

  I know Muse creates an 'XML sitemap', which I don't understand... because I know only plan the site links that are place on the footer of a Web site and use a directory - but it would be nice to prevent robots to access specific directories and pages and specify the location of the sitemap file. What Muse exactly do with my site "site map"? This plan of the site accessible to the people looking at my website or just robots?

  My site does not currently use the html headers (< H1 > to < H6 >) I would use keywords in headings.  In the "Page properties" dialog, under metadata, there a box of '< head > HTML. How to enter words in this? Use the HTML code such as: green roofs < H1 > < / H1 > < Landscape Architecture H2 > < / H2 >? separated by a comma? Simply type the words with a space between the two?

  Alternative text for images

  I found that only some of the images from my site have the option to add alternative text. I right click on a picture and I get an "Edit Image Properties... ' Option to add alt text.  But some of the images do not have this option. Why?  I hover over an image and keep the pointer arrow (mouse) again and it will display a 'ToolTip' as 'Hero', 'picture frame', 'thumbnail', 'target' or 'relax '. It seems that only on the 'picture frame', 'hero image', and 'trigger' will be a right-click and display the option 'change Image Properties... '. ».  Is happening here?

  I have an active blog that I like a menu item, and when you go to this page on my site, I just link that goes on the hosted blog.  Is there a way to eliminate a click actually having the user directed to the external blog site when you click on the tab of the menu 'Blog '?  I understand that a particular level of Catalyst Business has a Blog engine option.

  Note that you can also exclude a page from your sitemap.xml to prevent crawlers from crawling it. Generally, you don't want to do it, but if you have a good reason for that setting is in the page properties dialog.

  I am able to set the alt on the thumbnail text. Are you sure have the chosen thumbnail?

  You can create a page of the space reserved for your plan view, then mark the options on the menu page like 'include the page without hyperlink '. Then your menu will contain an entry for this page, but no hyperlink. If you select the menu item, you can assign a hyperlink with the hyperlink control in the Control Strip.

  You can reset prefs which are remains after you uninstall extensions.

  using firefox 11.0 on win 7 64 bit and cannot load a search engine toolbar. I did some research and found that I need to click on the search engine icon, but it is not one on my browser. I have not found another way to open the window "manage search engines". also frustrated that google has abandoned their search bar for firefox. thinking AVG load them would show up - it didn't. However, when I type a search string in my address bar, I get the avg search engine results.

  @LongHawl, is the search box here, but the drop/icon-triangle is missing? I see two ways that the malware could have hidden button. The first would be if you have an add-on that was left. If you check

  Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Modules > Extensions

  You will find all this useless or suspicious noise? If so, try to disable and restart Firefox to see if that helps.

  The second would be to add a style rule in a settings file that may exist in your profile folder. If you open

  In the first section, you will find the button 'open containing folder '. Click that, and then double-click the chrome folder. If you see a file named userChrome.css, then we'd like to check that all the rules that affect the toolbars in the file.   A site that appears on the google search result depends on various factors. There is no set time when the site will be indexed in google. It may take a week or a month more. You can submit your site to google webmasters tools to speed up the process, but still no accurate time.

  Now,.

  There are two main factors that contribute to where your page ranks in Google for SEO (from a very simplified view). The first is the content of your page (s) correspond to the search expression specific anyone is entered into Google. And the second is the 'popularity' your site is measured mainly by how many other sites/sources contain links to your pages compared to the popularity of other sites that have a similar to the search expression correlation.

  A course of 60 seconds on SEO is:

  (1) search pick expressions 3 ~ you want to optimize for. Then work to have these phrases and words in phrases appear regularly in the content of your pages, paying special attention to the names of files .html, names of image files, topics (marked with h1, h2, etc. tags), your domain name, the image's alt text, page titles, the text content of the actual pages, etc..

  (2) take advantage of Twitter, Facebook, Blogs in your industry, etc. to generate interest in your site and thus to generate links to your site.

  (3) submit your sitemap.xml to Google using Google Webmaster tools so that they are aware of your site and more likely to re - index rather sooner than later.
