• Search engine results be re-directed to a fake web site on Windows XP

  When I use any search engine to find information on the Internet, I get results back as usual. However when I click on any of the results I am re-directed to a completely different site. I think I have a virus, but it is NOT detected by my Internet McAfee security software. Does anyone have advice on this?

  I am using Windows XP SP3 and it happens with Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers. When I re-directed I'm unable to click on the back button of the browser, so I have to close the browser and start the search. I am re-directed to sites not just the same. Unfortunately sites I am re-directed to that are sometimes "of inappropriate content.

  My McAfee Internet Security software is regularly updated and my PC is regularly analyzed, but he never finds the problem.

I was just wondering if anyone knows how to find where a given Web site ranks in the search results in Google, for example. in other words, a key for my website phrase returns over 2 million results in Google, and I know that my site will be far from top (but I still want to know where it is!). is there a way to find my website by clicking on each page and searching for the site manually for sure?

  You probably have some adware or toolbar that has changed the page used for a newtab.

  • Remove a toolbar that has supported your Firefox or the homepage search

  I assume you mean Windows Search 4, a repellent piece of software. Uninstall it and then install it again. Change your settings for Windows Automatic Update for "download and notify me when updates are ready ' so you can watch what you first install.

  , I'm working on my own simple "search engine" in Flash for loaded XML. I recently read this tutorial (which I'm just following to the algorthim since it concerns the languages and tools, I don't know) http://www.fatvat.co.uk/2011/06/writing-simple-keyword-search-engine.html.

  I have an object using the inverted index, with the term as a key and a vector of the xml node that contains the xml nodes that contian this term. :

  The end, empty words and other things to create the index works very well. And research on a term works fine as well. More or less this:

  My problem is trying to extend the search to several terms. In general, I want to have considered research as 'AND' searches, so a search on "term1 term5" returns only the xml nodes that have both term1 and term5 in them.

  So if I have two (or possibly "n") returned vectors of xmls, how can I find the intersection of these sets? Is there a trick to it? In the tutorial (and the others I found) they override this little using the built-in features for the tool/language they use.

  In turn if I wanted to do a search of GOLD how could I calcualte union of vectors returned without any repetitions?

  I can probably understand sort of brute force to do, but I wonder if there is a trick that I simply don't see?

  I think I have it! I just test this with vectors of the chain because it is easier to implement the tests. This seems fast enough. I tried with a set of 5000 channels of two random characters and he did it in about 10 milliseconds. A naïve compares each each item in each array took about 250 milliseconds. This approach also removes duplicates at the same time.
