OT: Question Freelance (Online Quiz)

I want to create a series of quizzes associated with articles on my Web site. Most of the quiz will be probably 10 questions, although some may have questions 25, 50 or even 100.

I want to give visitors the ability to record and log in for their test data (ID, date taken test and score) can be entered into a database. They can then visit a profile page where they can see the data on all the tests they took, a convenient way to monitor their progress. I think same implementation with the graphics bar. So if they take the test of Animal behavior, four times, they can easily see how much they have improved.

I spent the last week or both work on the quiz of basic - and it works very well, with the exception of a few minor bugs. But adding sessions, connect to a database, etc is going to take forever. It is actually more difficult to find good tutorials online or download as most are pre - AOP; you need to change database queries to work with PDO function. It's not hard to do, but they often have additional code that must also be done to AOP-compliant, a pain without end in Lacrosse.

If only I could get my quiz engine that is currently connected to a PHP sessions and database, then it may not be too difficult to find bugs remain one at a time. The questions are all multiple-choice questions, but I want to change it so that it can include fill-in-the-blank questions. I also want to change so that radio buttons are not visible; visitors could then simply click a response (from the style as a button).

So I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good place to advertise for the liberal professions for such a project and an estimated cost. I work mainly with PHP, and my quiz also uses jQuery with a key of JSON response (which I will try to convert them to a PHP script which automatically creates keys of correction of the data stored in my database).

As someone who has the skills to do what you are looking for, my impression is that you probably haven't the budget to make it worth my while, everything simply because it looks like it's a personal project (even if you hope to make money) and you initially hoped to build it yourself but now are ready to provide additional help with more involved programming.

Since you're certainly not a coder experienced, it would certainly be more effective for a good coder start from scratch than to try to fix your code. You may wonder how I can say your code needs fixing without seeing what you've already done. Here's why:

You told us that a database is not yet a part of this project, but such a project would be necessarily heavily based on a database. The user records but for everything from game as well. If the code will need to be rewritten to be dynamic.
Secondly, although the code you've already written can be functional, it is unlikely she code, effective, easy to manage. Good coding skills are developed through years of practice. Just because something works does not mean that it works well.

So we can think about hiring someone to manage the hard parts, but a good coder insist no doubt going back to square one and start over from scratch. So who starts its beyond your budget, then here are two possible options:

Continue to develop yourself. Download the PHP powers Solutions book. He uses examples PDP and there is much in this book that would be relevant to your project.
Find a software based on the web quiz/survey that has already been written. There could be a service that hosts the surveys but can give your own corporate identity.

I work in the latest version of Captivate 7.0.1) subscription version and added a question true/false quiz at the course. The inserted question aligns the selection 'box' (circle) correctly for the first response, but not for the second. This is true for the multiple choice questions as well.
The master looks very good, there is no extra space in the text of the question (it occurs without the addition of content), there is no way to close the gap of space. If I move the text, the misaligned selection box moves with it and keeps the difference.
I imported a question of another master, and it works very well, so I have a workaround, but I would like an answer to what is the cause, so I don't inadvertently re-create the problem if it's my fault. And if it's a bug, then Adobe should jump on this one.

Scrolling text defaulting to white on white in question slides matching Quiz

Hello
The scrolling text is defaulting to white text in my question slides corresponding Quiz. I want any other text on the screen to be white (because I have a dark background), but I need the scrolling text (i.e. A, B, C, D) to be black, so that it appears in the little white boxes. For now, it looks like my drop-down list is empty.
Any ideas?

The text in the menu dropdown inherits the color that you assign to the corresponding answers. You cannot currently control menu text dropdown formatting independent response text captions. It is obvious that Adobe is on all those who use corresponding questions on a black background when they designed this special relationship.

I agree that it would be a good improvement to have the ability to format the text of the control and the background regardless of the other text. You must connect to this an enhancement request.

In the meantime, you have several choices:
- Do not use a black background for this question.
- Use a black background, but place a rectangle of light behind the answers so that you can set the text is dark again. If you apply a little creativity, you can even find that doing it this way will look more attractive.
- Use a different type of drag and drop matching quiz question. Discover for example Drag and Drop Lite Question Widget. (Free trial download here). Because it uses objects from the screen as captions and areas of highlight for interactivity, it doesn't matter what background color you use.

HP Envy 5530 question about Online versus WiFi and access by HP for ink monitoring program

I am new here and also back to the program monthly fresh HPs for the programme of replacement of ink as well, I tried to find the answer to my question but could not. Then...

My question is, as I don't have a WiFi router (used for tv, netflix etc. at all hours of the day) to use my new HP printer Envy 5530, and given that I am enrolled in the program of ink, this means that my computer itself must stay online 24/7? Or just have my WiFi on 24/7 gives the printer access, it must be monitored by HP for its ink for the monthly subscription levels to be enrolled in the program of HP ink?

No need to be on 24/7. Whenever you turn on the printer, it will connect to HP Server you set up normally (you can print, scan, and send it to print).

I'm working on a project that the owner wishes to question to check knowledge 5 or more not classified after each of the 5 sections of the training. At the end of the training, the owner wishes to rank issue. I'm trying to find out if there is a way for me to simply copy the instead of recreating for the verification of knowledge (not rank) and again graded questions. Any ideas?

I'm afraid that no, there features built in and as you can see differences in the properties of Quiz Panel (you don't score, penalty, partial for KC slides, they are not counted in the Quiz system variables). You will need to recreate the KC questions from scratch, not the normal questions.

Is it possible to answer a question in a quiz-unlimited page without leaving the quiz page?

We work with quiz-pages in our Adobe Captivate project. In the menu quiz, we can choose unlimited attempts to answer the question as often as possible. In HTML, if the answer was wrong, there is no way to answer the question once again, without leaving the page, go to the next page and then return to the page of the quiz. Is it possible to answer a question quiz as often as possible without leaving the page?

We seem not to understand each other? In Captivate 9, you must verify knowledge slides, which, unlike the normal Question slides never will be added to the score because you can even add a note to these slides. In earlier versions, you had to tweak quiz slides to convert slides to check knowledge simulated by removing their score on the Total score.

Display a summary of the student responses to questions from the quiz on a slide

I tried to create a single slide that contains a summary of the responses of students to all the quiz questions by using the cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice system variable, custom variables and advanced actions. but failed. The main inhibitor this effort were the short-answer questions.
Is it possible (in a later version of Adobe Captivate) a new system variable can be added to the cpQuizInfoAnswerResponse called?
This variable could act similar to cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice but instead would encompass the real answer.
Adding this variable would make it possible for us to enter any answer to question multiple choice or short answer in a user variable that subsequently can be displayed on a slide later in the course.
I already know the feature of Captivate quiz review - I mean allows us to capture everything on a slide instead of using the review function.

If the LMS supports getting the values of the variables, the interaction of text scrolling is a valid alternative to the short answer question.

How can I set up a Bonus question in a quiz?

I have a quiz of 30 multiple choice questions that is classified and I would like to add a question of "premium" in the end - so that if the user answers correctly they get extra points, but if they don't answer or wrong answer there are no consequences (and the final score is always out of 30 questions).

I found VMware education to be quite sensitive - but to answer your question online setup and configure class is like the public class classes - before the class, you must be a professional experienced with work experience - with the server and server operating systems are there no need no prior experience virtualization, but it is useful. The course material is laid out very well and itself is inspired by the module. There is no real duties assigned to be outside of the classroom, as laboratories are made during class, but it would be useful to review the days lesson because in general they are build on in the next day.

The laboratories are doing during class hours, but you can access environments lab the week outside of class.

Randomization of questions for each quiz attempt

In my project, I want to give learners 10 questions, each question from a separate pool. I put the quiz of endless attempts and a passing grade. If the learner does not pass the quiz and needs to regain power, I want the project again to shoot random question pools and generate another round of questions (some of them the same, which is not serious for this project will be probably).
My problem is that I can't work on how to generate a set of questions on each attempt. the same set is always presented. Trying to understand this point and not being not able to find a native function for this or even any discussion about it any where, my secondary question is... I'm out on a pedagogical branch want to do this? (I'm trying to strengthen learning in repasting the relevant content in the correct/incorrect legends).
If anyone has any ideas on one, I would appreciate it.

Adobe was of the opinion (which in fact, I agree with this time) If you have submitted a set of questions to a user, then they should be able to master these specific issues, before you take another series at home. Even if the new set would look at similar knowledge.

So, you will find that you can only draw a new random selection from the pool AFTER relaunch the lesson module. It's just the way it works.

If you want to see work differently, you can join the list of other people who have asked this question even in the last years and sign a request for improvement.

Is it possible to score report for a selected set of questions in a quiz?

Hi I am new to Captivate and SCORM. I have read the threads on the forum and the blog Lilybirl and learned a lot in the last days. I wish someone could help me with this too:
We hope to develop a course in a single captivate project that allows the following functions:
- There are several pre-test and post-test. The scores of each of the preliminary tests will be used to effect branching. I do not describe it in blog posts, but you could also set the scores from the pre-test to 0 question slides and follow these scores with a user variables and advanced actions. In this way the total score will be only the scores of the final test, where you attach notes to those question slides. Only one bad thing: the total number of questions will have questions included, same with the number used in the progress indicator. You will need to avoid showing those numbers to the user, but if you can live with that, might be easier to create custom question slides.

Change the number of points per question - Captivate 5 Quiz

I created a Captivate questionnaire with 25 questions. Questions are drawn at random from a group of 130, and the issues are choice Multiple or more than one answer.
I took the quiz on our Moodle site, but seems to have a problem with the score. Captivate is to give 10 points for each question that is answered correctly. Is it possible to change this to 1 point per good question?

You can adjust the number of points awarded for each question on the issue of properties inside Captivate. The default value is 10 points, but you can set it to any integer.

Maximum number of questions in a Quiz of 100?

I've been using Captivate for several months (I really like the program). I'm at the point where I am documenting a process for other developers (our Organization) to use the product. While examining the options in the Quiz Manager thought occurred to me that there seems to be a limit of 100 question for quiz questions (independent of a LMS). Is this an accurate assessment? Someone had a single questionnaire with more than 100 questions?

Of course, I doubt I'll ever a lot of questions for an evaluation simple quiz, (I doubt that I would have more than 25 really), but I always wonder about the upper limit of questions. Has anyone tried having a really long quiz?

I think that we are the two heads of the air... Well, at least I am! Your last message said you had a total of questions of '100' - and 'maximum' weight listed above that the blue note is "100". In the project that I was watching, I got the '0' total weight, and it's what is the 'maximum', as indicated on the line above the small blue note. DUH!

I just went to a new movie and a single button (1) staff report and (2) have a weight of '4', then went to ' Movie > Quiz Manager "and enough, that the" maximum now appears as '4'.»
