  See here for information on how WinMail stores messages (www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm).  Under the Inbox of the message store directory (as indicated by Imran), the eml for the Inbox files are located.  Which opens in Windows Explorer and see if the number of eml files is the number of messages that signals the WinMail.  If the number of eml files is higher than the number WinMail indicates, then its likely lost some of these messages are still there.  You can try similar tests in other folders as well.  If you find more WinMail indicates, then you can drag all eml files out to explore in a new Windows Mail folder and then you can figure out which has been lost.

She usually works well, but sometimes as a result of an email with a large attachment, will only re - retrieve this message on a continuous loop, without having to download any other message.   Yes im also having the same issue but it happened at about 23:30 email hotmail server seems to be down for me but I am on ios 7.1.1 if this isn't a thing of ios. Also tried it on another ipad, iphone and outlook using windows 8.1 so im 99.9 per cent a few hotmail servers are out of service

  Same problem here. The e-mail rule--> accounts--> Expunge deleted e-mails after one day. week | month becomes active. I installed Spamsieve, but should not intervene. Someone suggested to delete the respective Mail.plists, but there is nothing else than com.apple.mail - shared.plist in ~/Library/preferences.

  After setting the network card to make IE work, then check OE.  If the OE still has problems, check under Tools | Options | Connections and tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Connection to be sure, the settings are correct.  You may also need to remove your e-mail account, close OE and then add it back again.

  Try to go to file | Identities and setup a new identity.  Then, add your account and see if it works then.  If they do, use the file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.

  Error number: 0x800C0133 = a corrupt Inbox. In your case, it was overloaded with messages.

  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

  In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

  With OE closed, find the box of Inbox.dbx and rename it to Inboxold.dbx. Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

  Now, before you even check for mail, you have an Inbox.bak file in the message store folder or the Recycle Bin of Windows? If Yes, note the date of its creation and after return immediately. You may be able to easily retrieve messages to date. If you do not have an Inbox.bak file, you will need a recovery tool to read out messages of the Inboxold.dbx file.

  As you pay for your email service, your best bet is to call your service provider (AT & T) support and ask them to get away with you.  The error indicates clearly that you enter wrong credentials and if you believe that you are not, server administrators will have to straighten that out.
