Outlook Express 6 Configurations must be correctly, the cinfigured and the old names and deleted passwords

Outlook Express 6 must be properly reconrfigured and older accounts must be deleted, especially when a person has been forced to change their name and their password so they can't even remember what were the passwords. I run a Windows XP Home Edition operation system.

I feel like the older outlook express should be deleted and one another brand to take its place. Completely, I need answers, which is supposed to be watching my outgoing email, and who is supposed to be put in place for my incoming mail? Who is supposed to be my SMTP? And WHAT ARE THE PORTS THAT GO WITH THEM? Thank you.

All Outlook Express production ended in June 2006. If you want a 'new' Outlook Express, replacing the so-called is Windows Live Mail.
 
If by deleted and replaced, you hear an OE fresh, just create a new identity and use it. File | Identities | Add new identity

    Jump here (nothing Bruce suggested is false), I did a search and found this old article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/245419), which indicates that there is a bad entry under the identity key in the registry (see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx for background).  So if it's a big problem, you can do the steps suggested in this article and that will fix it.  Or if you have just one account, then backup your settings and the identity key and then delete the identity key and then start OE and it will establish a new, and you can then set up your account again, and then import the messages from the older directory.  But it does not indicate the major corruption, so you can just ignore it.

    Check in OE under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties and ensure that it is not set to IMAP.  It seems to me that if you use IMAP folders.  If it isn't, in addition to the suggestion of Umesh, you can try to go to file | Identities and install a new identity and add your POP3 account and see if it works very well.

    Maybe they are still on the server (server of your ISP). Make sure that you don't leave copies of messages downloaded from the ISP server that may cause duplicate messages to download.

    It's the only thing I can think of.
