Outlook Express 6 does not. have to XP Pro. 2002, Pk3 serv.,.
It seems that at least once a year, my husband e-mail account to Microsoft Outlook instead of Outlook Express. Now, he cannot respond to emails or compose. Mine works and is set up exactly like his. He has to go to the web e-mail answer or dial. Can I remove Microsoft Outlook without losing any email, addresses? We both feel that Outlook Express is easy to use and prefer webmail, but it becomes boring because I search each year to meet and usually contact our server to get answers. Microsoft probably has an answer. Thank you.
I changed the default for Outlook Express, but it won't stay there. He returned to use my current email.

You must use the same password that you would use if you have access to your messages via the Webmail of your server site. You will need to reset it with them.

Microsoft Outlook express Outbox does not transmit messages - Messages remain in the Outbox for ever
When you create new messages, outlook does not transmit messages. They remain in the Outbox for ever
Assuming that you have checked The Send Messages immediately and you get no error message, you may need to the corruption of dbx files.
Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.
Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.
With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them. New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.
After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.
Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.
General precautions for Outlook Express:
Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

original title: Outlook Express 6.0
Recently, when I send an e-mail message by using Outlook Express 6.0 three things happen:
(1) he does not leave the Outbox, unless I have to go in and manually remove it.
(2) my report of recipients receiving multiple copies of the same message (for example, received the same email 6 times)
(3) my sent folder is not updated with the emails I sent.
I'd appreciate any help that could be offered.
Thank you!
Glenside Guy
Your sent items folder is corrupted. Move or copy messages from the folder that you want to keep. Then close OE and delete the file sent items.dbx and outbox.dbx (hidden). OE will then create new ones, and that should solve the problem.
Because your files has been corrupted, you might consider backup before they get completely corrupt and in addition, you could go to file | Identities and setup a new identity. This will give you a base of new messages, not corrupted, and you then go to file | Import | Messages and import them from the old identity.

Outlook Express 6 does not. It crashes during the connection phase.
I uninstalled from Windows components in Add/Remove & re-installed in the same way, nothing will do. Using Windows XP & IE 8.
I uninstalled from Windows components in Add/Remove & re-installed in the same way, nothing will do.Which does nothing. It simply removes access.Folders.dbx is probably damaged. The path to the message will be very similar to this:C:\Documents and Settings\Your User of utilisateur\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\ {long string of letters & numbers} \Microsoft\Outlook ExpressWith OE closed, find the Folders.dbx file and delete it. Another will be created automatically when you open OE.Note these possible side effects:When you re - start OE, it will build a new index of all *.dbx files it can read and create a new Folders.dbx. However, understand that you will lose the mail directory structure and message rules will probably have to be edited. -

My boss said McAfee Spamkiller in our outlook Express 6. Soon after, we were more able to receive e-mails. It runs on a POP3 server, and I can still access all the info in our webmail. I uninstalled McAfee, and now Outlook is not connect properly. I still have a mcAfee firewall to the top. When I open the program, it says it allows and every 60 seconds a message comes up saying "your POP3 serverhas not responded in 60 seconds. Woud you like to wait 60 seconds for the server to respond?
What should I do?
You have permission to remove McAfee completely? Next to Norton, this is the second AV program less compatible, that you may be able to use with any Windows email client.

Hello, in
This can be caused if the Outlook Express message store file is corrupted. I suggest that you rename the file and restart the computer to re-create the file.
a. Click Start, go to my computer.
b. navigate through locations
C:\Windows\Application Data\Outlook Express\ {GUID}
Or
C:\Documents and Settings\
Settings\Application Data\Identities\ {GUID} \Microsoft\Outlook Express c. right-click on the Folders.dbx file and then click Rename (copy and save this file to another location, in case of failure, you need to replace the original file.)
d. type folders.old.
e. launch Outlook Express. This creates a new Folders.dbx file.
Thank you

When I opened outlook express Inbox, all messages have been deleted, please help restore the same
Go to view | Current view | Show all messages to make sure that you have just selected 'Hide read messages.
If this does not help, check your Recycle Bin, the bak files which are dbx files, you can restore backups. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2
If this does not help, then you will probably need my program DBXpress (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/), which will extract the messages from individual dbx files, and if messages are no longer in the files, it can extract from the disc itself.

This is due to floating files, the result of many messages in the Inbox, or lack of compaction.
Move all messages you want to save out of the Inbox, deleted items, and sent items in local folders, you create. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.
If there is no message in the Inbox you want to, but can not move after return, before doing anything more.
