Outlook express, never finished watch box sending

When I send a mail with attachment the Outbox remains open until the server will expire. mail will show in the Outbox but not in the transmission. box so when I close outlook express, it asks if I want to send the mail my Outbox, but mail is received, so I have to say no, and then forward the mail in the deleted area
I deleted the Outbox and sent the .dbx files. I have compact, I deleted all of the messages in the two files

When you have deleted files dbx, OE has been closed? If this isn't the case, close OE and do it again.

If this isn't the answer, what is the size of the attachment? Remember that encoding adds approximately 33% of the size, so a 9MB attachment becomes an accessory to 12 MB.

In addition, test with your anti-virus software disabled. If she goes, you must disable the analysis in your e-mail messages AV program.

  • When I try to open my outlook express the Internet Properties box appears and I can't use the emails

I have an ISP... 'A seniors' and I'm able to go online and surf the internet, but several days ago, my ability to use the e-mails ended when instead of opening email program when I clicked on the send icon PROPERTIES INTERNET box appeared on the screen which has not offered no solution to the problem of my inability to access Outlook Express.

See www.oehelp.com/oedef.aspx , you can also go to start run and copy and paste to start OE:

    "C:\program files\outlook express\msimn.exe".

Copy with quotes and paste it in start | Run and it should start OE.  Then you can also go to tools | Options in OE and set it default here.

  • Outlook Express 6.0 - mal to send emails with attachments

Get the error message saying "some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks.  Please see the list of errors below for more details".  There is no error displayed messagees.  The tab tasks, there is a warning in the status column with no description.

This only happens when you send an email with an attachment.  The message is then placed in the Outbox.  I checked that the message has been sent and received, but the message does not in sent items.  Outlook express keeps trying to send the message.

You have apparent, but easily fixed dbx file corruption.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

    Compact often as specified above.

Always display the complete text and correct all errors when you ask about a problem.

ISPS don't like people using their networks to forward mail from other networks.  The symptoms you describe are usually the result of not properly is authenticating with the outgoing server or the use of a non encrypted SMTP connection (that is, port 25 instead of 587 or 465 or whatever your email port provider requires for encryption).

  • With microsoft Outlook express 6, I can't send emails

I clicked on HTTP messaging and the only was hotmail and I use it. But my problem is that I finished everything quickly, because the thing to fill the empty spaces. But when I sent the email, then I would say that it does not work. If the system has done himself then its supposed to be right.

You cannot use HTTP e-mail accounts to access Hotmail.  Microsoft has the years ago.  The only way to access Hotmail with Outlook Express is via a pop account.  See this:

I don't know what I was supposed to check on the Forum, Feedback & product

    Thank you, Karen

At first glance, it seems that a few things wrong with the settings you have for a server outgoing (SMTP). I think that Westphalia broadband uses mail.4wbi.net as the incoming and outgoing mail server, not pop.4wbi.com (note mail instead of pop ) and .net instead of .com. These are the servers listed in this article:

I'm not ensure that these settings are correct. Rather I suggest to find the page to set up your own mail server and use the parameters described in this.

When I went to send a link to a video Today Show, I could not send it via Outlook Express. How to make a server to help me send videos from Web sites?

To use Outlook Express, you must set up your account with it. You must know the names of the servers POP3 and SMTP from your ISP uses and perhaps a few other things. The best way to get the information you need is normally to look at on the web site of the ISP, but you can usually also call them and ask them.

    2. What email program are you using?
    3. Who is your mail server?
