  I have a Dell Studio 1737 and I changed the original Palm with another fingerprint reader without a provided, naturally original Dell. When I downloaded the driver Dell Web site package that I surprised... There are only drivers, but not the software! The original software provided with the computer laptop Studio 1737 is Digital Persona of Digital Persona Inc. I asked a question to Dell technical support, but no response because I am out of warranty. On the site Web of Digital Persona, I found a software that can work with the fingerprint Authentec AES2810 reader model but you have to pay for it. Quality on the web I found another user of Dell which solved the problem: you can download the Digital Persona version 4.10.3790 of the HP Web site software!   Okay, so I recently bought a laptop... About two weeks ago now, I think that... It's a Dell Studio 17, and it runs on Windows Vista Edition Home Premium. So far, I had a lot of problems to install programs on it. When I tried to install AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) it wouldn't download; I finally managed to do install via the start menu somehow...
  BUT now LENS won't let me sign... but that's another story! lol - the real thing that worries me is not able to install games. I just bought the Sims 3 and after inserting the disc, choose a language and a count of the wizard InstallShield, once I have access to the license agreement page and click on 'I agree' and click 'Next' an error message pops up saying something about impossible to install. He has a huge long error code and I don't know what that means. At first, I thought there was something wrong with the drive, so I went back to the store and exchanged it for a new one. When I got home and tried to install it again, it's the same thing. Then I tried to install another game that I have (Zoo Tycoon - Zookeeper edition) just to see if any game would work... It's the same thing; before he actually started to install an error message came. The first error message said something to have an invalid character in some way... ? ! (no idea...) Then an other error message pops up something else I didn't really...
  So, as you can see, there must be something wrong with my laptop. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE. I would appreciate advice...!

  1. open the content inside the game CD/DVD.
  2. right-click on the configuration file.
  3. Select 'Run as administrator'.

• No internet access available or detected Dell Studio 1555

  I was given a Dell Studio 1555 and finally had time to reload a new installation of the OS from the disk of the factory. When I went to access the internet for updates, etc. the ethernet port was not working. There is no Wi - Fi available, but I guess that there is a wireless laptop card. The Device Manager has several listed questions:

  Standard VGA Graphics Adapter (says this device cannot start. Code 10)

  Base system device (the drivers for this device are not installed. Code 28)

  Normally I fix my own PC problems but require internet access on the computer to correct LOL so I'm screwed up right now.   Did you install The Dell software system utility and drivers Intel PM45 Express Chipset Family, GM45 Express Chipset Family, PM55 Express Chipset Family, Chipset, HM57 Express Chipset Family, v.9.1.1.1015, A01 Cantiga first? The combination of these two drivers know what is connected to your system.

  Then try the drivers again.

  I have upgraded to Windows 8 last year and it worked fine until Jan 16th when my webcam driver has been updated, now, all I get is a black screen.  Have tried other options of driver of creative technologies without success.  I would like to know what should be the appropriate driver.

  I had to reinstall Vista on my Dell Studio 1535 and the re-install, I wasn't able to connect to the wi - fi because apparently Vista doesn't recognize the card wireless site. In Device Manager, it lists the generic 'network controller' and has a question mark next to it.

  I installed system software Dell, Dell Notebook System software, Quickset, chipset drivers and the R206848 file that contains drivers of 1397, yet its still not recognized. What Miss me?

  Thank you Rick. Still could not make it work this way, so ultimately I clicked on the generic and clicked Update Driver network controller and then said that he resembles c:\dell\drivers, and he finds the right driver and installed properly. Wireless now works!

  There should be a small pin hole in the front of the cd player. You can insert a paperclip unfolded in the hole and press. The Board should then opens. If it does not open and close automatically after that, then you have a mechanical problem with the drive and should be replaced.

• The mouse driver and Touchpad Driver for Dell Studio laptop will not work with Vista

  I just bought a Dell Studio laptop at new years 2009 with the Vista platform.   I had nagging problems with the mouse driver and the touchpad pointer that were completely related software.  These questions were returning back over the months and months.   I've owned about 10 PCs since 1989 and I've never had a bad result like this.   My wife and I have lost 20 to 30 hours of our time looking after him.   This could have the Vista operating platform?   I suffered so much that I made my decision to seriously consider the range of Apple computers.   At this point, I lay the responsibility for the drivers who did not also work on Microsoft and Dell.  20 - 30 hours can go a long way in learning the OS from Apple.    I am a professional project management and professional engineer and can't believe that something as basic as the mouse driver and the driver of the Touchpad was a goner at the launch of the computer screwup.   I guess that the validation of test have been ignored.  I have never been madder with any computer I've owned.  I learned a lesson from this.   Do not trust Dell or Microsoft in the manufacture of new products.  As far as I know Apple users don't get treated this way.

  Sorry, but I really cannot speculate more what happens - or go - with your computer without being able to see the machine. It's the first time, you mentioned a bluetooth mouse and that you have installed the drivers three times. Certainly a bad image would not apply in this case. There are probably other things that pass only someone actually looking at the machine would be able to discern.

  However, since this is a new laptop and you are unhappy with it, return it under warranty and buy something else. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to help you. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

• Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit on a Dell Studio 140g running a NETGEAR WG111v2 54Mbps Wireless USB 2.0 adapt and loses the connection permanently

  I have a problem with this program-it very often loses the connection, so with any live video as a conference, he fall causing problems with, naturally, the frustration on both sides. I tried all suggestions with Microsoft Fix It without modification done or as it says "no changes have been made, your driver is up to date" and I have tried these suggestions and now I'm here. I also went to CNET to search for a driver, but not luck to everything I've read about the drivers there.   I understand that you have connected the external NETGEAR WG111v2 USB adapter to work with wireless internet and the connection is intermittent.

  Maybe it's because the wireless USB card driver and it is perhaps because of the hardware (USB wireless card) itself.

  Try the suggestions below and see if it helps.

• Dell Studio 540 no speakers or headphones Sound - win 10

  My Dell Studio 540 lost out to attached speakers.  I can't tell if the problem is caused by the upgrade to win 10 or if I experienced a motherboard failure a coincidence.  I tried a number of bugs that include uininstalling pilots, roll back drivers and even install Vista drivers original I have original system disks.  Nothing works.

  I see, looking at the acoustic, Panel output HDMI seems to work because I can see where it says sound when playing music.  However, I can't the speakers or headphones of entry to work.  Even if I try the speaker plugs into one of the entrances, the acoustic Panel still shows the headphones or speakers are not connected.

  So, how can I get the systΦme can recognize that speakers have been connected?  Is there another driver I can use.  So far, I've tried several driver Realtek and configurations, does not

  Apologies for the lack of your post. The Studio 540 has never been validated for Windows 10.

  

  My advice is to disable the Realtek HD audio integrated into Bios - Advanced - Integrated Peripherals. Then install a current PCIe x 1 sound card in a PCIe x 1 on the motherboard slots. His current card will provide 10 Windows drivers.
