Output of different sounds on 2 different sound cards

Hi, the problem is simple, the solution seems to be complicated:

Given two different sound cards (A and B) installed on the same pc windows 7 64 bit
Given two different applications and for the sake of the example, assume that they are two different instances of Microsoft internet explore playing two different 1 and 2 youtube clips
I want one audio clip 1 to be played by A card sound and video 2 audio only through his B card (simultaneously)
How can do us?

You can't, because IE product on the audio device by default only, you can not choose in the Options.

All software that gives you audio routing options, then you can.

See you soon,.

  • Why other software can 'hear' the output of the sound card

    Hi guys.

Now I'm confused on the audio system of the computer. I installed a telephony software named SJPhone 1.65 on my Windows XP, and I used the SJPhone to establish communication with another computer also running SJPhone. When I played a song with Windows Media Player on my Windows XP, I can hear the sound on the computer that was on a call with my Windows XP, but low volume and few noises. Why could the SJPhone 'hear' the speech output through WMP on my XP? What is the process of audio streams in Windows Media Player for SJPhone? Because I do not know the audio driver and the audio system of the computer, if any could tell me the reason? P.S:my sound card is SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio
I can provide more information if you need.
    Best wishes

You have a device audio cheapo. It can only a stereo stream channel at the same time so large pieces all together for the same result... Solution: either don't use WMP to call, or get a second audio device and use one for the phone and the other for the WMP. However, it is a real * to implement in XP. Good luck. Cheers, jerry

  • different application to different sound cards sound output?

Hi, if I place two sound cards with my laptop running windows 7, is possible to direct output to different audio cards?
I mean for example, the idea is I can play the media player and redirect the output to speakers at the same time, can for example I talk to a friend (Skype) and output is redirected to another sound card I can output for headphones etc.?

    Is there such a possibility?

Yes, but only if you have an option in the software to select the output device.

WMP cannot, so you send it through your default device.

Skype can, so you have to get through the second device.
Beware, however, implemented 2 audio devices and routing is not for the faint hearted!
    See you soon

  • HP Envy Phoenix: Disabling Beats Audio Sound card in desktop HP Envy Phoenix

Here's my problem, my HP Envy Phoenix office above came with Beats Audio standard install, I installed a new card his SoundBlaster Audigy 5/Rx installed fine, but one of my audio editing programs says

The output of the sound card could not be defined at this sampling frequency: 44100 Hz

Either the device does not support this sampling frequency, or it is in slave mode and its sampling frequency cannot be changed by elements of WaveLab. So how do I know if my new sound card is running in slave mode and how do I change this? or maybe disable the card Audio Beats?

    Thanks in advance,

    SP60

    SP60, welcome to the forum.

Beats Audio should automatically be turned off when the sound card is installed.  However, you can go to the control panel Audio Beats and uncheck the "Set as default device".  You can do this with the recording device, too.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • How to play a frequency generated through my sound card?

Hi, I'm using Labview Student Edition 7.0 on Windows 7.

I'm generating a signal at a set frequency (in this case about 1200Hz - well within the audible range) and trying to feed this output for my sound card to play through my speakers. However, I don't get any what exit when I tried to use the SIE SO.

Please see the attached VI. I would be very grateful for any help on this matter. It's a few years since I've used Labview and I accordingly this approach as near-novice.

    Thank you

    Rob

    Hi Rob,

I found an example that should help you along the 7.1 version. If you go to the finder example help > find examples, then search for 'sound' it should be a continuous sound output here called VI. See if you can find it and let me know if she does what it takes.

    Kind regards

  • Play two sound waves through two different sound cards at the same time?

    Hi all.

With the help of old ship poles and the example of screw provided with Labview 2009 SP1, I could get a part of the path.

The goal is to simultaneously play two .wav files, to two different sound cards. So far:

    (1) I can play a wav file for each sound card

    (2) I can generate two sinusoidal waves of different tones and put each two cards separately at the same time.

But when I replace these two tones of #2 with .wav files, wave files play in turn. If wav_1 plays sound_card_1, THEN wav_2 plays sound_card_2, not simultaneously.

It is even possible to play 2 wav files simultaneously on different maps?

I've included a VI of the attempt to #2 above. WARNING: my labview skills are minimal and this vi was very experimental is probably terrible form.

Why do you want to do this. Many modern sound cards have 5 channals output

  • Different audio output for different applications

For most applications, including Windows itself, I use my speakers that work out of my sound card in the PC. For my Skype, I use a headset connected to the back of the monitor. This configuration works very well, given that Skype allows to choose the audio output by default se device. Now I want another application (a game, Endwar, to be precise) to use headphones as a default with the rest of the system device as it is on the left. Is there a way to do this?

    SUP Zatrix,

It would be only possible if it is supported in the game/program itself or if your sound card driver configuration settings will allow it.  Some sound card drivers will allow you to have two different audio streams or separated for helmets.  So, it really depends on your hardware and the application that you are willing to put in place this way.

It's funny how some people leave Windows to a Mac not realizing that Bill Gates has a large part of the Apple.  MARIE.

  • I have two sound cards. Can I use the input to the output to another?

Basiclly the problem I have is that I use one of my as a configuration of 5.1 sound cards speakers (I put the MIC and line as output) and I found another sound card in another PC. The question that I have, that now I'm not a line or a microphone available for the first sound card, is possible to distribute the Line In input of the other card, to the first?

    Hi KiralyAlex,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to perform this task, because at some point that a single sound card can be defined as a default device.

However, you can use your favorite search engine & download any third-party software that could serve the purpose.

Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

    Hope the helps of information.

  • X 240 output loss of sound quality

In fact, it happened about 2 months ago. The sounds from the speaker, as well as the sound when I used a helmet was just not right, barely no matter what low frequency noise. At the beginning I can fix this by reinstalling the audio driver. Then after a week or two the same problem would happen again, and I had to reinstall the driver. After several times, reinstall the audio driver cannot resolve the problem more. Besides if I plug the headphones once I cut the laptop, it should re-enable automatically right? Well, this isn't the case, and it is always silent. This can be a problem with the sound card hardware?

    You can try to

-Open Manager Realtek HD Audio in the Control Panel,

    -Open advanced settings, the device

-change from one mode to another, aplly and check if the problem has disappeared.

-change back and check if the problem has disappeared?

    If this does not work,

-Right-click on the icon of white audio in the status bar,

    -playback devices,

-Select the current device and open the properties.

    -tab improvements,

-Disable all improvements (even if none are selected)?

In addition, sometimes you can reset the driver by removing device in Device Manager and refreshing.

He does not physically delete the driver file and reload just return, with the default settings.

  • Inspiron n5050 detected no sound card

    Hello world

My inspiron to work this morning and there was no sound at all.

speaker in the toolbar symbol indicates no output device installed.

verified that the power service was running.

    windows update

    updated the bios to a4.

tried to update the audio driver, received an error message saying that it was not compatible with the installed equipment.

Dxdiag came in white, nothing appears in the Device Manager.

It has left me speechless, as far as I know that it's as if the sound card is dead.

    Thanks in advance

Fixed! instead of trying to install the driver manually, I gave windows menu troubleshooting (problems of audio playback) a whirlwind and I don't know what he did differently, but he managed to get the driver installed.

  • Satellite A200 PSAE3: Windows XP Home edition do not recognize the modem and sound card

    Hi all!

I can't understand what is the problem with my Satellite A200 (PSAE3)... I downloaded all the files on the right of the Toshiba Download Center, updated the BIOS to WXP but XP still not find any sound card or any modem. He isn't finding a device with a "?" question mark on this...

There are so many different drives, I tried, but no one has changed the situation...
    Anyone has any advice?

    Thanks in advance,

    ciroopi

Well, I found the solution to the problem! :)

so, I write these verses down for anyone who might know the same problems:

as usual, strictly follow the 'Toshiba A200 Installation sequence' found on the TOshiba driver download page.
as he [I jumped no useful installation programs]

I advice restart you each time you install a component, in order to have under control the whole Exchange.

    1 Windows XP Service Pack2 (RTM) - of course ;) -.
    [...]
    DirectX V9.0c 5 (SP2)
    Windows Media Player 10 V10.00.00.4036 6
    [...]
    10 Microsoft .NET Framework V1.1.4322 (SR1)
    11 Sun Java 2 Runtime Environment V1.6.0
    12 Intel ICH8M Chipset utility V8.2.0.1014
    13 Intel VGA driver 6.14.10.4833 965GM

Note that driver VGA, the ATI we too, was also a difficulty - in fact, I don't know what it would have done - for the AUDIO sound card.
You may have read in the installation dialog box.

Moreover, I do not know if you must install the sun java, .NET framework and WMP version that displays the list, versions that are OLDER than the most recent, but just to be sure, download the form versions THAT NET.

at this point, you should see "unknown PCI device" in the unknown devices in the system control panel.

    14 Realtek ALC268 Audio Driver V5.10.0.5433

for realtek, I suggest you download the driver from the zip from the realtek download page; Once extracted from the latest version for desktop or a temp directory, I suggest to install before all the patch KB888111 you might find in the \WDM_Rxxx\MSHDQFE.

    then restart.

for now, you should not see the "unknown PCI device" no more where it was before, but under the "system devices", like her, where you could also end the "Intel PCI Express Root Port", "Pci Bus" and so on [ja? m saying this to you because ja? m Italian aid of XP, and I don't remember the exact English names...].

Now, install the audio drivers by using the setup.exe that you find in the \WDM_Rxxx directory.
It should reinstall the kbfix and install the new drivers.

    Reset.

After the reboot, nothing happens, but...

.. see the "unknown pci device" menu - here? m not sure the name but the one with the exclamation mark in the 'system devices' - select 'Properties' and then 'driver' and 'update driver'. Let XP find the NOT on the net. tell XP to look for "Video and Audio Controller, game" [you know, the English entry that usually stands for device audio and similar] and he must find a CORRESPONDING driver, which is the "MICROSOFT UAA BUS DRIVER for HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO".
If XP don't select this driver by itself, you should look for "\windows\system32\DRIVERS\hdaudbus.sys".

After that, XP automatically detects ALL audio devices and install the correct drivers.
In addition, it now the entrance to the modem, modem to install the separate driver, that we could find in down in the "list system", like her, on the Toshiba download page.

    So, hope this helps!

    See you soon,.
