output text indicator the Subvi to mainVI station

Hello

I think I asked a similar question before, but since then, my program got more complicated.

Here's my problem.

I have a program with nested loops to print flow channels in a Subvi

and it must be updated in an indicator of string in mainVI.

When I say "update", it must be updated as it does not come out online, online.

the block when the loop is complete.

I have failed it by the two registry to offset or RefNum.

Maybe I don't know the use of advance these two.

So can someone show me how?

I have attached a simplified version of my labview program.

Thank you in advance!

Hi horanyee,

some standard shift registers allows you to reach your goal... They will keep the earned previous so that you can ad the new line!

  • List of input values (multi-column) must return the output text once the value is selected

    Hello

    I am trying to achieve conditional:

    I create a searchVO(select '' empNumber from dual) - to accept the input value (name empNumber).

    I create empLovVO (select enum,ename, addr, city of emp). lov attached to empNumber (searchVO).

    In the list of values when I select a value (emp 1, a, xyz, abc), it must return the default aby associated with emp values 1 to my output texts

    the name of the EMP one.

    addr xyz

    City abc

    It should also automatically change the values if I select another empNumber.

    Please let me know how to achieve this.

    Thank you

    Firstly, for the searchVO, add a three other attributes, name, address, and City, the type of string:

    and make sure they are still editable:

    Then, you're mapped LOV enum attribute EmpNumber, right?

    Do similar for the newly created attributes, in the list of values dialog box validation:

    Ename--> name,

    --> addr addr,

    City--> City

    Then, just to show these attributes in the form of output text, and you'll get what you want...

  • Output texts update on cancel, text of entry are not

    Hello

    I have this curious (for me anyway) question. I have a form with text of entry and exit, and I buttons of toolbar (add, edit, delete, save, cancel) on a declarative component that contains the form (in which case it has nothing to do with it)

    When I add a new record, all fields show a blank record, but when I cancel immediately, only output texts and the texts which are marked as disabled and as such are grayed out, are updated for the data of the previous record. All the other regular input of data entry text items blank.

    Here is the code I use behind the Cancel button
    public void doRollback() {
      oracle.binding.Operationbinding oper = ADFUtils.findOperation("Rollback");
      oper.execute;
      //
      Row crntRow = masterIterator.getCurrentRow();
      crntRow.refresh(crntRow.REFRESH_WITH_DB_FORGET_CHANGES);
    }
    Normally, I would have thought calling rollback would have worked... when who do not have, I added the refresh of the current line that still did not help.

    Does anyone have any ideas as to what may cause this? I use Jdev 11.1.1.2.0

    Thank you

    Add an af:resetActionListener your button

    The resetActionListener tag is a declarative method to allow a source of action (, , etc.) to launch a reset action. All the submitted values will be reset to null or empty. Reset will change all model State directly, prefer the enclosing action should have its own actionListener, which will reset all of the values of the model to their default values. The resetActionListener tag is supported by no attributes.

  • Change the color of specific sets of words in the text indicator

    Hi all

    I try to write my first semi-vaste program. He successfully install drivers and serial for my test steps, which are going well. However, I have problems with creating a nice log window. I am currently using a standard text indicator and messages of PASS/FAIL indicator formatting output.

    Basically my Subvi is trying to determine if the string is SUCCESS or FAILURE and assigns a color on this basis. index and index + 4 (success/failure being 4 letter words) are indicators, that within the MAIN program loop to increase or find the next instance of SUCCESS or FAILURE.

    I took elements of the following resources:

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW/is-there-an-easy-method-for-appending-text-to-a-string-control/m-p/8...

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/6BD344ACA4DEE20A8625692700737E16

    However, it seems that only a few words (which are not same SUCCESS or FAILURE) are awarded randomly red or green. The second passage, the whole journal is red for some reason any.

    I also tried this in the same line as the indicator of the log window, and in this case, the Word changes color, but whenever a new row is written, everything loses its color and is all black again. I can't seem to find a thread with someone using this exact application. Any help at all would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Thanks Steve responding. I'm trying the listbox. I am able to change listItems that you have demonstrated, to have colours. I think that your suggestion to make the color of an entire line is acceptable for my application. Is it possible to implement this in the text box? I built a lot around the use of the text box, and I have to change a little subVIs (or at least add some loops) to implement the text correctly area.

    If you want to use a textbox control, you will probably need to use the approach of the link in your message of moose.

  • Main table according to the Subvi indicator

    Hi all

    I have a Subvi, reading of files and make a multi-terrain with data XY Chart. Part of the Subvi code also puts some properties of the graphical indicator XY, using a property node, such as styles and names of the plot. When run as a stand-alone, it is fine. But then I have to run the VI in the frame as a larger program. XY graph indicator is an output of the Sub - VI, and in the main program, I have a light connected to the output of the Sub - VI generate the graph.

    But it does not work. The data is there, as expected, but none of the properties that I put in the Subvi, which is also logical because they act on the light located in the Sub - VI, but not that of the main program.

    Is there an easy way to have all the properties of an indicator within a Subvi be transferred to the indicator to which he is connected in the main program?

    Thanks for your help,

    Sam

    You pass a reference to the curve that you want to assign to the property.  You could make the graph on the Subvi by default so that it still works as a stand alone.

  • How to change the background color of a text indicator?

    I have an ASCII/text indicator on my FP. FP uses a .png file as the background, with a block diagram. • Refresh the text indicator

    Hello

    My problem must not be too serious. I receive a text in a file that I want to display on the front panel. I have to refresh each turn of the While loop. The problem is that I find myself with my text 100 times in my indicator. I would crush my text all the rounds of the loop.

    Anyone have a tip?

    Thank you

    An unitialised shift register will remember the value of the last time that the VI ran. If wire you a string constant empty at the beginning of the shift register it clears the value in the shift register each time, so it will contain only the result of the loop and not keep adding to the value of the last run.

    Software Lab that we wrote, use us (with a worm 7.1.1) a Subvi, set up to print at the end to print the results of four charts XY. Units selected in the main vi Engr is passed into the Subvi through the connector pane. I extracted the EU text here and write to YScale.NameLabel.Text using nodes property. It works very well in development by operating its own front panel, but not when the Subvi is called from the main vi. Maybe it's a known bug? With a workaround? I tried delays, separating the operations with the structures of the sequence, etc.

  • Disable selection of text on the indicator of the FP

    This is asked in the spirit of an attractive user interface. I have a text box that displays the different bits of data. This part works fine. What I would do, is make it impossible for the user to select the text in the box. A click of the mouse inside the box would behave like a mouse click on a free part of the window of the user interface.

    At this point, I turn around the Image of the 'Get' invoke the node with the intention to create an image of the indicator and then display instead. Is there an easier way?

    Just turn it off.  If you still want this way, then right-click on it and choose Advanced-> checked-> disabled state.  There is a similar property node if you want to do it programmatically.

  • ADF - JavaScript getValue is not recovering the value of output text

    Hello.

    I have a workflow with fragments, before the page loads, I call a function in my Bean, function to set initial values.

    In my grain I have variables like this:

    private String var1;

    public void setVar1 (String var1) {}

    This. var1 = var1;

    }

    public String getVar1() {}

    return var1;

    }

    According to a request, I put this variables.

    On my page, I have several panel grid layouts, with the cells in the grid that contains an af:link and an af:outputText.

    My af:link get the icon property with the help of the variables set before the loading of the page, like this:

    /Dir1/Dir2/#{MyBean.var1}.jpg

    A my the same output text:

    value: #{MyBean.var1}

    It works perfectly.

    What I need is to valorise tha in the output through a JavaScript function text.

    Inside the af: link, I have a clientListener that calls a JavaScript function where I need to get this value, something like this:

    function testValue (actionEvent) {}

    actionEvent.cancel ();

    source var = actionEvent.getSource ();

    var value = source.findComponent ("c1");

    var value= currentValue. getValue();

    Alert ("currentValue:" + currentValue);

    }

    The value is never shown. I also tried withAdfPage.PAGE.findComponent

    Its curious, because I do the same with a seizure of text on the page, have not the value of a Bean and the value was fine.

    I don't understand what is happening.

    Could you help me?

    Thanks in advance.

    I solved it.

  • How about the text of the .txt file output?

    This is my code:

    #include 'fstream.h.

    ofstream myfile;

    MyFile < < 'text ';

    MyFile.Close ();

    But it occurs the error C1083: cannot open include file: 'iostream.h': no such file or directory.

    How about the text of the .txt file output?

    I would suggest that you do in the InDesign style to match...

    InterfacePtr stream (StreamUtil::CreateFileStreamWrite (...);

    if(Stream->GetStreamState() == kStreamStateGood) {}

    flow-> XferByte (buf, size);

    flow-> Flush();

    }

    flow-> Close();

    There are lazy as CreateFileStreamWriteLazy equivalent methods.

    Deferred methods will open the file in the application, but you will always get a valid pointer.

    See docs on its use.

    what I am doing wrong?
    is it a setting on sqlplus Miss.
    Thanks in advance,
    Stephen.

    Hi, Stephen,

    What version of SQL * more you use?

    In very old versions of SQL * Plus, the command

    SET   DOCUMENT   OFF

    stop posting comments like that.

    SET   DOCUMENT   ON

    is the default value.

    In later versions of SQL *, the default is OFF, and the command PUT the DOCUMENT does nothing (in other words, it does not raise an error, and it does not change the fact that the comments of the oblique-star bar are not displayed).

    If you really want something like that to show, then use the command PROMPT.

    Your old version of SQL * Plus can continue to work with the new database. For example, you can use a database of Oracle 10.2 with SQL * Plus 8.0 (However some new features allowed by the database may not work.)
