Overlay Web content - lock?

Hi-

Love DPS. Ask a question when I put them in a superposition of web with html5 (not the edge based adobe) content. It seems that this content can be moved around the window frame. Is it possible to block it in position so that when a user interacts with him - he can't panoramic on in the framework?

The size of the div in the html and the size of the image in INDesign are the same width/height in pixels. I also-

overflow: hidden;

on the container div.

Thanks for the ideas...

Shawna

I think that we had found something - this meta chain helped:

Our framework to the folio is fixed above, width 440.

Hope that helps!

  • DPS - overlay Web content. How to implement action parts hanging out in .folio?

    Hello

I'm building a huge project, a kind of Encyclopaedia with multimedia and interactive content that I created using Adobe Edge 1.0 animate and tumult Hype. They are perfectly busy in their own respective Web content overlay and work almost perfectly.

One of them is a movable game, in which you drag a man to one side or the other just to see how it tilts. I tried it with many browsers, and it works perfectly fine. But when I bring it in the inDesign document (in an MSO) I can't drag the man, as the STROKE changes the page.

What can I do? Is it possible to avoid this default behavior when using these interactive content?

    Best regards

OK, thanks for not responding anyway.

I managed to get the solution by myself. I just put an e.preventDefault (); function when you drag and it just worked.

Thanks again to all of you who have not helped and was able to do.

  • Video streaming through overlay Web content

Really would like to help here. Whenever I have a link to an HTML file containing a MP4 video through the Web content, Overlay, all other body text in the rendered pages is no longer a vectors (the text becomes pixelated). The video is in the H.264 format. Any ideas?

Source link streaming video has the same page resolution that your folio is? Have you checked the "content scale to fit" option is the superposition of web content?

  • Help with html files when you place the overlay Web content

    Hello

We have an educational application with plenty of interactive exercises - which were originally designed in Flash.

I have converted in HTML using Wallaby fla files. For each fla file, Wallaby creates a js, css and html file but also an active file.

When I place the frame Web Content, and then link it to the html file, it link to the real HTML created Wallaby? It wont let me select the folder containing all the files in that, and I can't link to a zip file either... Then, how it recognizes assets if I select only the html file? (see screenshot)

Or do I need to add a HTMLResources file and bind it to who?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You a link to the HTML file but make sure that these things are in their own folder or InDesign will add EVERYTHING in the folder that has the HTML in there.

  • content overlay Web - content to fit scale does not work on Android

    Hello

I have a HTML plus that works very well on an Android DPS (10 inch Tablet) application, but I would like to reuse the assets for the smallest Android devices and was just testing to see if the scaling, it would still create en user experience. The problem is that it shows just the corner cropped assets without any scale whatsoever.

I was just wondering if there is a known issue or I do something wrong?

It's probably something in you that force a size to HTML HTML content. Even if we try to put on the scale, if the content itself defines a fixed size, it won't scale.

  • How to close the overlay of web content

This is probably a simple solution, but I was not able to find it and do not know HTML very well.

After that overlay web content loading, we would like to include a button that allows the user come back to the page on that their origin.

Now, we will serve as a navto to return to the specific page, but now the overlay even on several pages of the folio and we need the user to be able to return to the exact page they came.

Is there a simple "closed" command instead of "navto", we can use?

    Thank you.

I'm not aware of a simple way to 'close' a Web content overlay enabled. I guess you can display web content in the browser in application using a link to go to the URL. Users would press a button, display HTML content in browsers in application and then press the close button. But that may not work for your design. Another possibility is to place the overlay in a MSO state that includes a button that switches to another State. Again, this depends on your design.

  • Fixed provision ePub - please help me embed videos and/or use overlay Folio with web content

    Hello

I have a file In Design to create a printed book (11 "x 11") and decided to use CC 2014 to create a layout fixed ePub 3 for a digital version.  I converted the book on minor issues of having to change the font and it is very beautiful.

I want to add videos at the end of the book to take advantage of the flexibility of the digital format.  I create a slideshow of my photos year-end and host them on Vimeo.

    I tried the following:

Using the standard Vimeo include the code in an HTML element

The use of the old flash Vimeo embed code and conversion to HTML - worked great on iBooks on Mac but not on iPhone/iPad as based on flash

Accommodation and a link to the videos on my own web server and using the media - link to video mp4 file

Accommodation and a link to the videos on my old server of smugmug.com photo

I can integrate real videos, but to their smaller size, they increase the file size of the ePub to 78 MB, 400 MB...

I thought then that I would use an Overlay Folio - Web Content.

The idea is to use this blank page on my site that would look for all purposes useful to another white page in the book - 2012 slideshow - Oren photography

The overlay works in preview but not Folio when exporting as an ePub

Is this a limitation of the ePub format?

Any help/advice/suggestions on fixing this are greatly appreciated.

    E

The format of Vimeo is not supported when you place in InDesign.

Overlays using Folio is a feature of the DPS, which is not supported in EPUB files.

With the help of streaming video is not a good idea because it presupposes that the EPUB reader is connected to the Internet. Most people expect an EPUB content will be autonomous.

I would like to used embedded in MP4 format videos, but use Adobe Media Encoder to Downsample to reduce their file size.

A slideshow of images should be no problem, and you can create them with the Group of objects. You can create buttons to control the slide show display.

  • Up-to-date reliable content overlays Web

    Hello

whenever I'm creating Web content overlays in Folios, I run into the problem, they don't update on servers of DPS. So if I change, say that the CSS of the Web-embedded content, save the. CSS, an InDesign file and update the Article via FolioBuilder sometimes the content remains the same when I update via the Adobe Viewer on iPad.

Now, my solution: create another HTML file in a different folder and point to this new folder/file to overlay the Web content. But it of really ugly and keeps me develop more quickly.

    Any idea?

If you test on iOS it is unfortunately a bug in iOS, not a bug of DPS. The operating system is cached files even after that put us them to day and supply of content cached in the overlay of web

  • InDesign crashes when you forward an article with content Overlay Web - have checked the forums

I do a folio for my design portfolio in InDesign CC

I currently have a downloaded article, when I try to add my next article InDesign crashes.

I previously downloaded the article without the overlay of unique web content, and it downloads very well.

The status bar is stuck at the end "folio of construction...". Treatment of overlays... »

The content is a simple web form and is only on page 6/6 - do not know why it freezes by adding a small page on the end.

Today, it worked. Has not changed anything good! So don't know what it means?

  • Adobe InDesign - content overlay Web - prevent the spread of events Scroll

I have an InDesign magazine that contains a Web Content Overlay (pointing to a responsive website). Everything works fine apart from when it comes to scrolling.

I run the magazine from an iPad via Adobe Viewer. Is not only the scrolling vertical (up and down) is necessary, horizontal.

    Problem

When user left or right moves, changing page of the magazine and web content firm.

    Question

Is it possible that I can stop the scroll events from spreading until the magazine of the overlay of web content? Preferably, it would happen on the web content itself (for example using JavaScript) as it would mean only, I need to change in one place, rather than on each page, the web content.

    Attempted

Captures the touchmove on the body of the page and calling stopPropagation() on that event.

Call preventDefault() on the event (this prevents any scrolling at all).

With the help of pageX touchmove events and call preventDefault() all those who seem to be horizontal scans (too unreliable).

With the help of CSS overflow-x: hidden

    jQuery scroll personalized Mobile events.

A little addition to combinations of the above.

Found a solution. First, insert a ' ' tag 'window' in the head:

Note that I've set a static width of '701', it's important. Width of the overlay of web content is "700px". Set a width of "701" means that the page can move very slightly. This agitation means that the left/right scan is taken and not percolated to InDesign. There is a slight delay (of a pixel) if they drag, but it's minor compared to the new page.

Then add the following in your page CSS:

    . Happy {}

    -webkit-too-full-scrolling: touch

    }

You should not have this CSS, but it was necessary for us.

No, that is not taken care of, but it should not be necessary. Do you observe web different results on SD and HD overlay devices?

  • Hyperlinks within Web content overlays

I'm linking to my Web site using the Web content overlay, but when I click on a hyperlink in my site I want the next page to load within the same superposition of web content. Currently, when I click a hyperlink, it opens a browser window which I want to avoid.

You cannot jump to a different URL within a Web content overlay. By clicking on a link in a Web overlay content opens the in-app browser window. I'm not aware of a workaround.

  • Placement of HTML5 in web content overlay

I have a simple HTML, only 4 k animation and yet when I place it using the superposition of web content, it is not play in preview (value autoplay etc.) and when I try to see in the simluator iPad, or even try to regroup - InDesign crashes. What am I doing wrong - and keep in mind this is my first foray in HTML in DPS...

    Thank you.

I guess that your HTML files are stored locally in a folder called OverlayResources, noy don't know if they still must be in a folder with that name, but they used to. So, if they are not in the folder OverlayResources try this. probably you have also tested on a browser safari and the OK animation playback.

What did you use to create the animation, just out of curiosity?

    See you soon

  • Web content - open the link in an external browser

We have a page in one of our applications is an overlay of web content. Is it possible to have links in full HTML in the browser of devices, rather than the in-app browser?

In a showcase custom, that loads AdobeLibraryAPI.js, this can be done using adobeDPS.dialogService.openExternal - I tried quickly reproduce it, but it did not work. However, due to the limited debugging possibilities I was not able to determine has it down to an error on my part, or if it's just not possible.

    Advice welcome!

The answer, in case it is useful to someone else, was to use the api reader (and openExternal) including the AdobeLibraryAPI.js. There was a bug in our first attempt, we got it working well.
