  Installation of your Web site to C:\inetpub\wwwroot will make sense if you had configured ColdFusion to use IIS. In this case, you must transfer the content of \cfusion\wwwroot\ more at \inetpub\wwwroot\.

  If you intend to use ColdFusion Server Web part then, Yes, you can create a new folder in C:\ColdFusion10\cfusion\wwwroot\. The site will be reached by an address similar to http://localhost:8500 / siteFolderName. • Is there no way to create a separate mobile site now this Muse creates only sensitive Web sites? Due to the nature of my site, sensitive aspects create a lot more problems than they fix. How can I go back to an older version of Muse?

  I've updated Muse about 13 days ago and since that time, it was a nightmare trying to get the 'sensitive' aspects to cooperate. I don't want to create a website full of places so that sensitive aspects working fluidly. I have images that overlap that separate that they respond to the reduction in the browser. • I would like my year 10 students design and create simple mobile Web sites

  I would like my year 10 students design and create simple mobile suitable sites that can be used on mobile devices. The idea is that they design the site for their chosen idea and then be able to test this on their own mobile phones or their friends. Ultimately I would like that they can create a site for important events for example, camps sports carnivals etc which could be hosted on our school site. I use BusinessCatalyst for that. I tested a few sites of model by export html and then try to send the file to my phone, but the site is not resize in the phone and most of the media does not work for example sounds. What would be the best way to do this?

• Hey. I created my own Web site in frontpage 2003 and I added a video in .swf format. It plays ok and all the stuff. Howvever, it behaves differently in Internet Explorer than in Mozzila. more details below

  in IE, it works like a charm. not auto play, do not loop and waits for to do me a right click on it to play/loop

  Mozzila also seems to be unable to play the sounds of information from Web pages and IE can.

  Your EMBED code is not the parameters set and the loop (not sure if incorporating support these).

  Maybe use an object for Firefox.

I'm trying to do from the start. in other words, a request has not created to which I simply add web pages. Is this possible?

• Design of a Mobile Web site and the best Mobile detection Solution

  Last week, I decided to create a mobile version of one of my Web sites. I thought it would be a relatively easy task, but I quickly realized there is more that meet the eye.

  Without going into all the details (for example questions from the media, etc.), this is the strategy I ended up with...

  First step:

  I used this script to detect a mobile device...

  I know that I could use the media queries or any number of other methods, but this one appeared to require the minimum of effort. For example, the media seems so complicated because I make sure I have the list of possible devices that can check out my Web site. The script above simply says, if the screen is small, view the mobile Web site. The downside is the person with the mobile device needs to have Javascript enabled, but very few people turn it off.

  Second step:

  I designed a special website for the mobile device.

  I could have created special CSS for each page to my Web site, but people don't want to read all the content I have on my Web site in any case, at least not on a mobile device. It was much easier to create a little site for mobile devices instead of make a huge CSS file to convert all my pages.

  Because there are so many options when you create a mobile Web site, I just wanted to see if everyone here thinks I did it the right way or would you recommend an alternative?

  Also, I saw that he sent several times that I should include a link to the 'full version' of my site at the bottom of my mobile Web site.   Separate sites for the version complete mobile vs is the best method. Just synchronize the data dynamically from database. Depending on the complexity of your site, the setting is completely different for a mobile version. Much, much more than just a style some conditional css rules. Device for side detection Server allows to redirect mobile users to the mobile version, which is usually a completely different directory or same site... ie. m.example.com mobile and example.com for the version complete.

  Similarly, you would use the reciprocal method of detecting device for side supported server to redirect anone who is NOT on a device to the full version if they visited the complete mobile URL from a web browser. You can use a cookie with detection on the server to allow the user to "switch" to the version side full and vice versa. Where if the cookie is not set and the device is mobile, then directly on the mobile device and display the button to switch to a comprehensive site that sets the cookie. Much of/and/of/ifelse/instructions if else going on there, but it can be done easily. I hope you get the point.

I am, however, to assess as to whether I should jump and buy directly in flash catalyst. This is based in large part on whether or not I can start creating simple web sites using CF simply and easily.

  Please don't laugh too hard at my ignorance here:

  I created an interactive Web site simple FC and published .swf and close up with a file that has deploy to the web.

  I just bought a domain on godaddy for hosting sample. I know how to upload files. But I do not know how to take my .swf deploy to the web and become a working site.

  Anyone in charge to help a beginner?

  Take the totality of the contents of the file to deploy to the web and download only the in the root folder of your site web sever. Then, you should be able to go to www.yourdomain.com/Main.html and complete your CF project. If you rename index.html Main.html, www.yourdomain.com also works.
