Received "a secure web site is unavailable" message during installation... what should I do?

I try to install on Windows 2008 Server as PUK Server Developer and Client. ... and on the page options web site, I get the following message:

"A secure web site is not available. A secure web site is strongly recommended to use web services, and do not use a secure web site can leave data vulnerable to access by unauthorized users. If you want to use a secure web site, please consult the documentation and create secure manually web site... »

No advice or how to manually create the website security?

Thank you

Pat

Tom,

I thought about it... in the title of the Internet Service Manager, I have essentially created a self-signed certificate, created a SSL connection and then checked the SSL binding. Here is the link for more information: How to set SSL on IIS 7: official Microsoft IIS Site

I read the part where you can change protocols after installation so that was my last resort. in any case, thanks for the reply and your help... much appreciated.

  • How do RV082 access secure web sites load balanced mode

I just bought a gateway/router RV082 Dual WAN because I have both cable and DSL feeds in my office. Everything works fine until I try to access a secure web site or have a conversation through my Vonage internet phone. In failover mode all works. As soon as I select Load Balancing, I have outages. I do not see this listed anywhere as a 'problem' so there must be some kind of workaround if this isn't a bug. Has anyone else seen this and how did you resolve teas?

    Thank you

    ^.. ^

The problem you are having is your doing load balancing and traffic to the secure Web site is to get out the two wan.  The secure site is waiting for a response from the original wan ip, which has established the connection, and then it receives the response from the other wan ip address.  It is a common problem.  You can do protocol binding tab management system and have everything that your https traffic out a single IP wan, this will fix this issue.

  • Firefox does not trust, a particular secure Web site I know is course trust but other secure Web sites

Firefox does not trust, a specific secure Web site I know is safe, but there is no trust other Web sites secure. In addition, Internet Explorer trusted this website and Firefox on another computer trusts of the same site. When I try to connect Firefox tells me it doesn't have a valid certificate (even though I know there is one) and I have to make an exception for you connect. Is it possible that I can fix this and get the appropriate in this particular program of Firefox certificate?

  • I just upgraded to Firefox 5.0.1 and because the "padlock" icon never appears when you access secure Web sites, where should I look for it?

I recently upgraded to Firefox 5.0.1 and now the 'lock' icon is nowhere (I don't know) when you access secure Web sites. I've not seen once. It appeared in the lower right of the screen. I also have Norton Internet Security.

Well, in the secure Web sites part of the address bar is allocated to the part of the security certificate. For example, here in these forums you can see your address bar is as follows: mozilla.com . https://support.mozilla.com... The front ' |' ("mozilla.com") is what I'm talking about. For more information on the security certificate, you can mouse over and also clicking on it.

Press "Resolved" If this has helped you.

Try to reinstall McAfee. Uninstall normally through programs and features (Win7/Vista) or add or remove programs (XP). Or, you can use the removal tool to uninstall: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

Go to http://home.mcafee.com to download again and reinstall McAfee. If you have a disk however, just use it.

    Hi pattscarpenter,

Thanks for posting the request in the Microsoft Community. Looks like you get the message not responding when you try to open multiple Web sites.

Answer these questions that will help us provide a better solution:

    1. where exactly do you get this error message?

2 have had any changes made to the computer before the question?

    3. what browser do you use?

Try the steps if you get the message of Internet Explorer:

    Method 1:

If Internet Explorer stops responding on a regular basis, common causes include the presence of spyware, an add-on, a computer virus, or a corrupt file that tries to access Internet Explorer

What to do if Internet Explorer stops responding

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-to-do-if-Internet-Explorer-stops-responding

    Method 2:

Try the steps mentioned in this link and check if you are able to open Web sites.

If Internet Explorer crashes, stops working, or closes immediately after opening, you might get an error about Internet Explorer don't works do not or that it has encountered a problem and needs to close. The problem may be with low memory, or corrupted or missing system files. Restart the computer to clear the memory and then open Internet Explorer by itself.

  • How to make a secure non-secure Web site so that I can use it?

I try to use a Web site that I have used literally thousands of times and now firefox it won't open because the site is not a security certificate. I can't find anything to ignore it and I'm completely out of options now.

I found another issue that has the same problem and got it fixed. Thank you very much!

  • Problem with Firefox 13 certificate and secure Web sites

    Hello

I am using Windows 7 32 bit on a Dell laptop.

Everything was going well until I've upgraded to Firefox 13 a few days ago. I can't not to connect to Web sites secured like Gmail, Amazon, etc.

It works perfectly fine in all other browsers is not an OS related issue.

I use ESET Smart Security 6.0 beta and he hasn't behaved badly with any application.

I tried the basic solutions as compensation network, the browser history cache, etc. I also reinstalled 13 (own) of Firefox.

There is no modules or extensions installed in Firefox. The Proxy is set to 'No Proxy'.

Each click in gmail throws an "Untrusted" error, even if I get certificates and store them permanently.

I also tried tweaking all: variable config like below, but did not work.

    Browser.XUL.error_pages.expert_bad_cert = true

Please help because it is extremely difficult to work with these problems.

    Thank you
    Anand

    Bingo!

I removed SSL scanning from ESET 6.0 and re-installed all the more recent Windows updates. Everything works fine now.

    Thanks for your help!

    Best wishes, Anand

  • A secure web site that I am trying to veiw keeps giving me a measage on some of its pages: "this application only works with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and later or Google Chrome 12.0 and above." Is there a solution for FireFox?

This secure site loads all windows without problem on my Windows XP and a Windows 7 PC, but not on my MacBook Pro.

The SPAR Web site works fine for me with Firefox, the only thing that does not work for me on this entire Web site is the download of images (which uses ActiveX) for assignments of Merchandiser requiring images. And did not have a job requiring images in over 6 months. (I used the UserAgent Switcher - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/user-agent-switcher/ - add-on to make the site thinks I was using Firefox.) For jobs requiring photos, I've been using IE 8.0 to make these reports. But you're a little GROUND with an Apple computer and you use Chrome.

Some Fixin ' to do will have to be done SPAR it. Mozilla has never used ActiveX and will never use. I'm curious to know how they managed to get Chrome to work because Chrome does not have ActiveX either. They must use another plugin for download of the image; and if they are, why they cannot use this same configuration for Firefox and allow merchandisers use Firefox. Not that I'm worried, I'll do with them in a few months - worst job I've ever had.
