Overvoltage leads to death printer

Last night after a storm passed, we had a power failure.  Our company great power always turns the power on with a huge wave.  Although I had my printer on a surge protector, when the power came back, the surge protector popped and smoked, and the printer is now dead.  It is a HP LaserJet CP1525nw.  Just, I want to know if it is completely toast and I have to buy a new printer, or is there a chance that it could be repaired.  I tried a new power cord, but the printer is still quite dead.

Thank you.  That's what I thought.   Bad luck.

    Thank you

    tl2222

Some noises can expect that the printer is being used more in addition to overtime. The documentation that I found on the printer by clicking when the carriage moves in the machine indicates that we should remove the cartridges one at a time and inspect and also inspect where they adapt the machine to ensure that they are not damaged and to check the debris or the broken parts in the channel of distribution. Also, you stated that the printer has been cleaned. Where the rolls of paper cleaned too? Paper dust can accumulate on the reels of overtime can also lead to the printer with rattling noise.

Finally, I would like to try a hard reset.

    1. With the printer plugged directly into a wall outlet and turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
    2. Then unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    3. Wait at least 30-60 seconds
    4. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet first. If a module with the power cord, make sure that the light of the module and then reconnect power cord on the back of the printer
    5. The printer should turn itself back on, but if not to use the power button on front panel to turn on machine.

Jam on the leading edge. sometimes prints with cut on folded edge

  • New drivers do not recognize my cartridge

    For Photosmart C4180 all-in-One:

I never print in color, but I must have a cartridge in the printer.  otherwise it will not work.

I use a reremplie color cartridge for this purpose.

Recently, I connected my printer to another computer (HP Pavilion g7).  I had to download drivers to the new computer.  After I did it, I was no longer able to print in black with the refilled color cartridge in place.  And I was

Unable to print with the deleted color cartridge.

    Say your troubleshooting instructions:

Step 6: print in backup mode

If you do not have a replacement print cartridge, you can still print in ink backup mode until the issue is resolved. Remove the problem cartridge and print with the remaining cartridge.

If you remove the cartridge three colors, the prints will be grayscale.

But I was never able to use the printer without both cartridges are in place.

The store that sells reloaded cartridges, said that there seemed to him that new pilots had some instructions that prevent the cartridge to be recognized, and that I should call HP and ask how to fix this - maybe the new driver uninstall and install another that will allow me to use the reremplie cartridge.

The color cartridge for this printer is extremely expensive, especially since I do not use it to print anything, just to be in place so that I can use black cartridge to print.

When you reply, please try to use a simple language that is not too technical!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Just to let you know, I generally recommend against the use of cartridges refilled constantly. This is because they can cause problems with the printer in the long term. Here is my information about this:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/Ink-toner-cartridge-printhead-issues/A-few-reasons-to-not-use-refilled-ink/m-p/2465899#M25185

Now, the reason is because it leads to the print head becomes becomes damaged and leaving the printer cannot perform a regular maintenance. If the color is not used in the machine, the part of the printhead color will become parched and non-functional, making it very difficult or impossible to use the color in the future. For this reason the machine will not be able to print any report diagnostic properly or be able to align themselves in the future.

I hope that answers your question.

    Hi 10guajiros,

I want to help you get your Deskjet 3510 working on your Mac running 10.7.5. I understand that you already have a troubleshooting, but I am confident that we can get back to work.

Please, take the following document and complement the solutions advocated; The printer keeps Wi-Fi connection.

If the problem persists, please let me know what is the first part of the IP address of printers. It might be 169.254.XXX.XXX, or 192.168.xxx.xxx or 192.168.223.1. If end with 223.1 Please provides all of this period if not only need to know the first 2 segments (yellow and green ) of it.

I look forward to hear from your part, thank you.

  • DesjJet 932C: Deskjer 932C and Windows 7

I have windows 7 installed on my Dell Latitude laptop.  I can't find a way to clean the printer heads.  Cannot find the printer listed anywhere in Control Panel.  Can locate only in 'computer' but that opening icon does not any action other than the printer monitoring.  I downloaded the latest print drivers.

The sequence of façade only the cleaning cycles but does not lead to a printed page.  You can hear the cleaning sequence occur if you look after the key sequence.

45 and 78 cartridges used in the HP Deskjet 932 have printheads build in the cartridges.  When you replace a print head cartridge is replaced as well.

Which is exactly the issue you see?  If the new cartridge is printing with white lines in color or black groups, it may be due to a problem of electrical connection between the printer and the cartridge.  In this case, clean the electrical contacts on the printer and the cartridge as shown in the paper here can solve the problem.

If the problem is a missing color (typically cyan or yellow) which would be generally due to a 78 cartridge that has been stored for the years beyond its life expectancy.  You could confirm that the cartridge was used by gently dabbing the printhead on a damp cloth.  A good cartridge would have a strong task of cyan, magenta and yellow.

I installed a new HP 1510 about 3 weeks, no problem... then there's 5 days started to have the blue screen of death (BSOD) on & above.   Several hours and attempts to update other drivers, I uninstalled the printer, did a system restore and it worked fine. No BSOD more.

Waited 2 days, for sure - then reinstalled and the same thing all over again.  So have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times.

Ran malware and virus program and nothing came. At the end of my mind - help, please!

I solved the problem by moving to a port 2.0, restore to an earlier time, and then reinstalling.

I do not quite understand computers.

I did scans and system restore but nothing works.

I kept getting the blue screen of death to do something.

I'm running an Asus U47A, intel i7, 8 GB of ram.  Bought a printer cheap for the College, the printer HP Deskjet 1000 J110a (printer of $ 30 million).  Please don't tell me I'm cheap and I should have bought the model upward, it would not be useful.  Whenever I have print or the print job will complete successfully, either during the print job, my PC will crash and gives me the blue screen of death.  What should I do? I uninstalled the printer drivers, reinstalled them, check the updates, and install them directly from the HP site... you name it.  I am ready to throw my head through the wall because I need to print frequently and having my computer crash in the middle of a document is not what I need.

If the error persists, try the printer on another USB port such as the USB 2.0 port.

You might also uninstall the Intel USB 3.0 driver and let the USB ports operate at 2.0 speed as which seems to have stopped errors blue screen in the link above for a user.

Also, another printer, not necessarily a more expensive, but a different brand or model may not exhibit the same problem.

  • Blue Screen of Death on my 6520 printer all in one

I get the Blue Screen of Death when I try to print on my 6520.  I use the USB cable that came with my printer, am updated with downloads and registration.  My printer was purchased in March 2013, and it worked well for a while, but has been giving me the "blue screen" every time lately.  I can't think of something I did differently.  When I select 'Windows can check online for a solution to the problem' in the dialog box that appears, under ' Details: 'I get c:\Windows\Minidump\093013-21699-01.dmp.

    Can you help me?

To answer your question on the use of a USB connection: I use the cable I ordered with the printer.  It has a USB connection on my computer and a connection 'square' with my printer.  The cable is grey and is thin.

My husband who is more technical, I'm checking on many sites, and he finally got it fixed.  One thing that I remember is that he has updated a 'critical' update of HP.

I don't know what else he did, but what he did worked, so my problem is solved.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

  • I'm trying to print using my own profile and no color management.   I have found a lead to the Adobe Color Print Utility but reached a point where he declared that she would not work with future versions of the Mac operating system.   I have Mac OS 10,11,

I have been printing PSD images with my own profiles and color management using an Epson R2880.

I've now changed to a Mac with OO 10.11.3 and unable to replace the color management.   I found a lead on the Adobe Color printer utility but failed and got a message saying that the utility has only worked with an earlier version of the OS 10.   Is there a way to turn this problem?

    GHK

You don't want or need to use the old setting 'No Color Management'. Is no longer the right way to print with a custom printer profile, in the current versions of Photoshop and OS X.

To use a custom profile to print, use the attached picture settings:

    • In the print dialog box, set the Photoshop color management menu manages colors.
    • Select your profile to the printer in the printer profile menu.
    • In the settings of printer driver Epson (under Printer Setup button) make sure that the Epson printer driver is set to the color - off management.

I don't know why Adobe Color Printer Utility works in 10.11.3, because I can throw on OS X 10.10 and 10.11. But in the end, it doesn't matter, because you don't want to use it for this purpose Adobe Color Printer Utility is only to print a profiling target, no images. And it won't let you print using your custom printer profile, because the whole point of the utility is to print with no discoloration whatsoever.

  • Acrobat 9 - save PDF as Optimized leading to printing blurry

Hi, I'm looking for an overview of the PDF with optimized saving. I got a print job recently where some pages came out blurry and some pages do not have. The previous job, I got no problem, but the files takes a long time to send. SO this time I thought I would use the option optimize in Acrobat 9 to make smaller files to send. I had the client checks the quality of their end, and of course the screen resolution was very good. What I'm after is a response to if the reason for blurry printing some pages was because of the option optimize the that I used when I sent them. What I quickly did some research, it seems that optimize does lead to blurry images. But if so, then why is msot of the pages come clean a crisp d and some of them come out blurry. Is this normal in this case? I'm saving my PDF files initially out of InDesign CS5 with bleeds and brands of printers. That's what I had the first time, but of course as I said this time I saved their way optimized in Acrobat 9. It's the only thing I can think of to cause blurred printing. It is only because of the setting or could it be that the Acrobat printers earlier ine tham and this version was the result disorders? Appreciate any idea so I can avoid this again.

Take a look to optimize the settings that you use. It is likely that you have reduced the resolution of 150 dpi. He'll be recompressed with JPEG - perhaps stronger (worst quality) compression that you used initially.

The "Standard" setting has no place in a print production workflow. (However, optimization PDF is a great way to transform a verson of web version press or other requirements for secondary production). Indeed, since you have already carefully prepared images you never be resampling yet more press because only decompression/recompression will reduce quality. If you're flattening of transparency which can also affect the quality.

Other parts of PDF Optimization can have value for you, but do not do exactly what you did - to test and check the quality.
