OWB 10.1 load data Source 11.2

Dear all,

We intend to upgrade a database of existing 10.2 to 11.2, all tested and works fine execpt OWB.

After that Googling autour, I found the OWB 10.1 can't 11.2 database as the Source, and we need to upgrade OWB 11.2 for the deal.

However, since we have planned an OWB upgrade and I was asked to implement a temporary solution until the OWB can be improved to 11.2.

In this regard, I have two solutions to use OWB 10.1 with basic upgrade to 11.2.

1) puts at the disposal of the old 10 g of OWB 10.1 as base and updated database updated 11.2 periodically.
(2) to a Staging database 10 g, which retrieves data from database 11.2 via links from DB and make it available to OWB 10.1 as a source.

Need your expert advice in this regard.

Rgds,

Ahmer

  • Load data into a table from two sources

    I developed an interface that has tables of the source of a source database that contains data of 4 companies. (we have multiple servers for different companies). Now, there is a requirement to load the data to another company in the same data warehouse. The problem is that the source is on another server. The database structure is the same. The names of tables, constraints are the same.

    Hello

    Here are links to examples of the context, in the examples they use development and Production environments in order to demonstrate the different environments.  In your project, it will be the different companies.  Create a context for each company, provided that the scheme remains the same across companies.

  • With FDM/ERPi of Oracle Data Source incremental data loads

    Hello

    I use ERPi 11.1.2.1. In the workspace, it is possible to set the option of the rule of the data load to be instant, or incremental. However, I use FDM/ERPi set to load data from Oracle GL in Essbase. Is it possible for me to put in place the FDM for the data to load incremental data rules charges? Could be a parameter in the source ERPi adapter?

    Thanks for any information you could provide.

    Yes, the source ERPi adapter there is an option for "Method of Load Data" that will allow you to define how the rule of the DL is run. By default, it is "FULL REFRESH" but can be changed.

    (A) connecting to the application via the workbench and the source system adapters
    (B) make a right click on the Source ERPI adapter and choose "options".

    You will see an option to load method and it will be the full refresh value, choose the value of the option you want in the menu drop-down and save.

  • How dynamically load data in target tables using as source files

    Hello

    My script needs a single interface to load data from 5 different files in five paintings of target using a single interface. All target tables have the same structure. It is possible to point to files variable source using ODI. But the same approach does not work with database tables. I get errors trying to make my table as dynamic target/source.

    Can anyone suggest anything. The last option would write a dynamic PL/SQL block in the KM. Other friends of suggestions?

  • Implementation of Open Data Source SQL for loading data

    Hello

    I've set up a system DSN odbc for Oracle database link I want to leave the interface and tested successfully (on odbc), but when I try to use the same in Open Sql Data Sources, so that it appears in the SQL data sources menu OK list I get all the data returned when I click "OK/recycling" - just the message - "unable to establish a connection to the SQL database server. Check the log for details

    Can someone tell me where the journal is if I can get a clue as to why it breaks down, I assumed Essbase or ODBC, but can see nothing in the two?

    Thank you

    Robert.

    You use the 'Data Direct Oracle Wire Protocol x.x', otherwise try with this driver.

    Do not fill anything in the open field of connection on the right side of the window of 'SQL Data Sources '.

    Make sure you enter a valid sql statement without "select."

    Check the log of essbase applications.

    See you soon

  • Add the Data Source to load the data rule

    I created an ODBC system data source in both the 32-bit and 64-bit ODBC managers (just to be sure), but they do not stand as options for sources of data in the SQL interface in EA. Y at - there a step I'm missing?

    Thank you.

    Did you create the ODBC on the Essbase server or on the server hosting the EAS, it should be on the Essbase server.

  • Digital loading data from text file for Test of numerical limit

    I am a new user of TestStand 2014.  Just downloaded the demo ran successfully the computer.dll tutorial & example "loading limits a File.seq text"; & is now trying to build my own sequence from scratch.  I want to load a number from a text file using the property Loader.  The file contains the following:

    GGbeg
    484
    GGend

    My hand sequence contains 2 markets (see attachment):

    Charger property (which reads the text file & must store the number 484 in the Step.Result.Numeric variable, right?)

    GG-digital-test (which should test the number 484 in Step.Result.Numeric as a Data Source, right?)

    But when I run it, the measure indicates "0" for the value instead of "484".  What I am doing wrong?  Thank you in advance for your help!

    George

    Hi George,.

    The text file must be in the format, includes no property magazine. Use the following in the text file to make it work:

    GGbeg
    Result.Numeric
    GG-digital-test 484

    Value of the variable

    Value of the variable

    Value of the variable
    GGend

    In the Tools menu of the sequence editor, there are some 'Properties Export/Import' tool, which helps to create text files to be used with charger property stage. I highly recommend to create the new file using the tool and then edit the file to change the values.

    In another part of my application, I use an activity indicator to load a webView but I couldn't reshape it for the list view.

    The following code works when my webView loads:

    WebView {
                        id: detailsView
                        settings.zoomToFitEnabled: true
                        settings.activeTextEnabled: true
                        settings.background: Color.Transparent
                        onLoadingChanged: {
                            if (loadRequest.status == WebLoadStatus.Started) {

                            } else if (loadRequest.status == WebLoadStatus.Succeeded) {
                                webLoading.stop()
                            } else if (loadRequest.status == WebLoadStatus.Failed) {

                            }
                        }
                        settings.defaultFontSize: 16
                    }

    Container {
                id: loadMask
                background: Color.Black
                layout: DockLayout {

                }
                verticalAlignment: VerticalAlignment.Fill
                horizontalAlignment: HorizontalAlignment.Fill
                Container {
                    leftPadding: 10.0
                    rightPadding: 10.0

                    horizontalAlignment: HorizontalAlignment.Center
                    verticalAlignment: VerticalAlignment.Center
                    ActivityIndicator {
                        id: webLoading
                        preferredHeight: 200.0
                        preferredWidth: 200.0
                        horizontalAlignment: HorizontalAlignment.Center
                        onStarted: {
                            loadMask.setVisible(true)
                        }
                        onStopping: {
                            loadMask.setVisible(false)
                        }
                    }
                    Label {
                        text: "Loading Content..."
                        horizontalAlignment: HorizontalAlignment.Center
                        textStyle.fontSize: FontSize.Large
                        textStyle.fontWeight: FontWeight.W100
                        textStyle.color: Color.White
                    }
                }
            }

    onCreationCompleted: {
            webLoading.start()
        }

    Therefore, what I am trying to make is: get the activity indicator to show when the list view is charging and when it's over, for the activity indicator be invisible. Also, if the user doesn't have an internet connection or loses the signal while the data is filling: would it be possible to recover data from a file stored locally instead ("asset:///JSON/Fixtures.json")?

    Thanks in advance

    With the help of a few other developers I maneged to make everything work properly.

    Jeremy Duke pointed out that I would need to use the onItemAdded in my data model of the Group:

    onItemAdded: {
                            myActivityIndicator.stop();
                            myActivityIndicator.visible = false;
                            loadMask.visible = false;
                            searchingLabel.visible = false;
                        }

    Adding that, the loading stops when an element has completed the list.

    Thanks for your help

  • A data source using an app does not not to start

    I'm adopting the tutorial: https://developer.blackberry.com/cascades/documentation/device_platform/data_access/using_data_sourc... at my request. The only difference is that my app is based on the tabs. Following however to add lines in my file qml, makes the application crashes the gray screen with BB10 logo.

        Tab {
            title: "edit list"
            imageSource: "asset:///images/note.png"
            content: Page {
                titleBar: TitleBar {
                    title: "editing list: " + workingOnList
                    visibility: ChromeVisibility.Visible
                }
                Container {
                    id: view
                    ListView {
                        layout: StackListLayout {
                        }

                        listItemComponents: [
                            ListItemComponent {
                                type: "item"

                                // Use a standard list item to display the data in the model
                                StandardListItem {
                                    title: ListItemData.category_name

                    attachedObjects: [
                        GroupDataModel {
                            id: dataModel
                        },
                        DataSource {
                            id: dataSource

                            // Load the data from an SQL database, based on a specific query
                            source: "database.db"
                            query: "select * from categories"

                            onDataLoaded: {
                                // After the data is loaded, insert it into the data model
                                dataModel.insertList(data);
                            }
                        } // end of DataSource
                    ]

                    onCreationCompleted: {
                        // After the root Page is created, direct the data source to start
                        // loading data
                        dataSource.load();
                    }
                }
            }
        }

    The only differences are: code is pasted in the {} instead of {Page} tab, and of course, the name of the database, the columns are changed.

    I added bb.data 1.0 import statement in the file .qml, the .pro file was also changed according to the tutorial. Path to the database file is correct.

    You have an idea, why this is happening?

    Another issue related to the data source:

    my main.qml file:

        Page {
            id: mainScreen
            titleBar: TitleBar {
                title: "your lists"
                visibility: ChromeVisibility.Visible
            }
            Container {
                ListView {
                    id: allListsView
                    objectName: "allLists"

                    layout: StackListLayout {
                        headerMode: ListHeaderMode.Sticky
                    }

                    dataModel: allListsModel

                    listItemComponents: [
                        ListItemComponent {
                            type: "item"

                            StandardListItem {
                                title: ListItemData.list_name
                            }
                        },
                        ListItemComponent {
                            type: "header"

                        nav.push(page);
                    }
                }

                attachedObjects: [

                        sortingKeys: ["list_name"]
                    },
                    DataSource {
                        id: allListsSource

                        source: "database.db"
                        query: "select * from lists"

                        onDataLoaded: {
                            allListsModel.insertList(data);
                        }
                    }
                ]

                onCreationCompleted: {
                    allListsSource.load();
                }
            }

    New screen grows without any problem after clicking on list items. But when I add the following lines to listPreview.qml, application stucks selection list item and nothing happens.

    Page {

        content: ListView {
            id: myListView

            dataModel: dataModel

            listItemComponents: [
                ListItemComponent {
                    type: "item"

                    StandardListItem {
                        title: ListItemData.article_name
                    }
                }
            ]
        }

        attachedObjects: [
            GroupDataModel {
                id: dataModel
            },
            DataSource {
                id: dataSource

                source: "database.db"
                query: "select * from articles"

                onDataLoaded: {
                    dataModel.insertList(data);
                }
            }
        ]

        onCreationCompleted: {
            dataSource.load();
        }
    }

    It looks like I can not query the DB for the second time commenting on the DataSource {...} of listPreview.qml pushed the new app screen without any problems.

    EDIT:

    a simple solution: I forgot to add the statement import bb.data 1.0 in listPreview.qml

  • JSON Date Source

    Hello

    I'm almost done to convert my application to use XML to JSON; the last thing I need to reconfigure is my field of research (which is looking the listView data source).

    In XML, I would fix the query:

    query: "/root/continent"

    looking for this file:

    XML

            Brazil vs Croatia
            Thursday 12 June 2014
            17:00PM (Local Time)
            Arena de Sao Paulo

    So now, I have converted more of JSON and instead use the title of listItem, I use fixtureInfo just as they were both providing the same information.

    JSON

    [
      {
        "type":"item",
        "id":"1",
        "dateNumber":"12/06/2014",
        "fixtureInfo":"Brazil vs Croatia",
        "dateInfo":"Thursday 12 June 2014",
        "timeInfo":"17:00PM (Local Time)",
        "timestamp":"1402603200000",
        "stadiumInfo":"Arena de Sao Paulo"
      }
    ]

    Therefore, what set that the query - for my data source - so that it will pick up the JSON data as before with XML?

    Thanks in advance.

    Like many I know THAT JSON does not use a query. Check out these https://developer.blackberry.com/native/documentation/cascades/device_platform/data_access/working_w... https://developer.BlackBerry.com/native/reference/Cascades/bb__data__jsondataaccess.html

    Thanks in advance

    Diakite

    It seems that there is a problem reported on the DIT that was refitted with internal BlackBerry MKS defect tracking system. Until this issue is reviewed by our internal teams, please use the solution suggested by the Rapporteur for the question by introducing an "if" statement before inserting data to the DataModel:

                    if (data.name) {
                        empDataModel.insert(data);
                    } else {
                        empDataModel.insertList(data);
                    }

  • Slow down the search for the data source

    For j2me so Media Player I open a connection file (in a local file) and get an inputstream and passing to the player I have no problem loading the file/search.

    On the other hand, I wrote my own simple data source wraps simply a connection file and an Inputstream, when I try to read a large file the app just crashes. I think that what the Player tries to do is read the entire file for the headers, but why is there this difference in speed?

    NM, the reason why it was slow was because I was enveloping the stream in an input stream shared

  • Connect target 'Generic Data Source' to a MySQL instance

    I'm trying to connect to our TEO (2.2) instance to an instance of MySQL, but unable to do so successfully.

    The server of TEO, I loaded the MySQL provider and the ODBC driver.

    I then try to define the details of the connection to the target:

    Host name:

    Default user:

    Connection string: Provider = MySQLProv; Data Source =

    By clicking on 'OK' throws the following error: "'MySQLProv' provider is not registered on the local computer."

    Based on the error, it's for me as TEO server does not recognize this provider, but I would like to help on it got to a point where it does.

    Could you please provide me with the steps needed to get our TEO instance to connect to the DB?

    Thank you
    Mark

    Solution:

    (1) install the Cherry City Software provider: http://cherrycitysoftware.com/CCS/Providers/ProvMySQL.aspx

    (2) configure the following connection string: Source Provider = OleMySql.MySqlSource.1; Data =; Initial Catalog =

    Thanks a lot C Roberts!

    The connection string contains "MySQLProv", that you actually used what?

    Looking at the example of c# code (and VB.net) I see this as the provider:

    OleMySql.MySqlSource.1

    Have you tried that?

    It also looks like to

    Data source =.

    Initial Catalog =

    If you arrive there, would probably be best to prosecute TAC for review.

  • Load data from one table into another table of 2 different schemes

    Hello

    We have a requirement to insert data into a table in a schema of a table that is in other schemas in ODI.

    We are able to do so by creating interfaces and mappings. But we now expect to do using SQL instead of ODI interfaces.

    Is it possible to do this using the SQL statements we have source and target data sources defined in ODI.

    should be like "Insert into src.table select * from tar.table'"

    Thank you...

    If you try to load a db to another db using sql (sql free hand) instead of interfaces instructions.

    It is possible using procedures odi too.

    1. Select the project (designer navigator) odi mode

    2. create the new procedure. Then add the command.

    in this command on the source command on the tabs of the target.

    Enter the sql statements. See the screenshots below...

    I think this will help for you,

    Thank you best regards &,.
