OWB installation problem: oracle.ide.ExitNowAllowedException

Hi experts,

I am facing a problem during installation: I use an Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.4 with the Oracle 11 g 2 database.

I unlocked and changed the password to the user OWBSYS, I begin the installation by following this tutorial

http://www.Oracle.com/technology/OBE/11gr1_owb/owb11g_update_getting_started_intro/Lesson1/less1_start.htm

but after step 'Repository Wizard summary' (step 14 in the tutorial), one before starting the actual installation, I face this error:

"+ Warehouse Builder workspace owner installation failed on the OWBSYS user. +
+ Exception occurred in "processLoadJavaToken". +
+ oracle.ide.ExitNowAllowedException +"

Does anyone have the same problem?

Thank you!

Hello

You can use the Assistance of repository directly instead of start > programs > {your Oracle - OWB11gR1clientHome} > Warehouse Builder > Design Center---> management of the workspace?

You can access support from repository start > programs > {your Oracle - OWB11gR1clientHome} > Warehouse Builder > Administration > repository support

You can also run the reposinst.bat script is located at \owb\bin\win32 to call Assistance from repository

Then follow the steps in the tutorial.

Thank you
Fati

  • Driver P6 8.3 typical Installation problem Oracle professional

    Hello

I installed P6 EPPM 8.3 on a machine on top of Oracle database 11 g. Now, I just want to see how professional P6 interface looks like, so I try to P6 typical Installation.

After selecting "Typical" in the Setup screen, it asks

    1 oracle connection string

    2. username and password (Alias database is read-only, then assign PMDB)

I have the database with SID orcl running on port 1521, my question is what I would give for the connection string and the user name and password. I have also not meaning to alias PMDB.

I tried orcl and //machine:1521/orcl in the connection string and in name of user and password I tried PUBUSER (a pattern present in the oracle database) and his password, but this error occurs

Bad public user name or password. Could not load the DLL OIC: oci.dll.

    Can someone help here?

    Best regards, Prasad

    Hi Prasad,

the professional customer P6 (PPM or EPPM) first uses the DBExpress in behind. So it works with an Oracle 32-bit client. So, you can choose to use the full client or instant client as mentioned above by yourself.

    So, if using:

    (a) Client (32-bit) oracle

In a console, make sure that the tnsnames.ora is used. It works easily with tnsping

If you have the Oracle 11 g DB on the same machine, then the probem is that he's trying to take the oci.dll 64-bit in the database => I will not use the Oracle 32-bit on the same client machine with a 64-bit Oracle install Windows. The reason is that the first condition in the path is taken one I had trouble then with the commissioning of the listener.

    (b) Instant Client

Unzip the instant client under a path like : \oracle\Instantclient11_2, put the path in front of your Path to environt variable, set a new TNS_Admin environment also variable on the path to instantclient, put your tnsnames.ora and the sqlnet.ora in this folder. Then it should work (check the registry if there is a set of keys TNS_Admin; If Yes, then pull it out of maybe)

If your database uses also EZConnect then you can also use the connection string in the notation ez / /:/ instead of tnsname.

    Kind regards

    Why the difference?

Rename or delete the listener.ora file (because it is NOT required, then do as below

    lsnrctl start

The command COPY & results then PASTE all come back here

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think 192.168.0.1 is local IP and 192.168.136.135 internet IP.

    HUH?

    Replace 192.168.0.1 in/etc/hosts 192.168.136.135 & then do as below

    lsnrctl start

  • OWB 10 g R2 Installation problem: no component RUNNING server-side

    Hi all

I just finished the installation of R2 OWB10g with no hiccups. I have the following configuration:

    Platform: Windows XP Professional v 2002 SP2
Target instance SID data warehouse: SUMMARY (ORACLE 10 g R2)
Repository OWB SID: OWBREP (ORACLE 10 g R2)
two databases on the same server although different drives
My goal is to have OWBREP be used to design and duration of the deposits

After installation, I used the Repository Wizard to create OWBREPuser and OWBREPowner and can now use the logon user to Design Center - no problem.

But according to the documents, I also need to create a user RUNTIME as well - but for some reason any during the installation, I have not met any such configuration screen. Seems that the installation has only installed on the client side and not the component OWB server-side. Restart the installation through YES goes through the same steps and has no option to install the component on the server side. I downloaded the file from:
    http://www.Oracle.com/technology/software/products/warehouse/index.html
    Oracle Warehouse Builder 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.1) for Microsoft Windows 32-bit, 64-bit (AMD64 / EM64T) (809,267,091 bytes)

How can I go about fixing this?

    Hello

CC Service is in fact a Java process that keeps track of this deployment, execution, etc.
CC service has details of the OWB repository owner and not the details of target schema details.

It is a symptom of textbooks classic does not have read and followed the original instructions to prepare the downloaded files.  You should have two files zip files.  They both must be decompressed in the same directory.  If you unzip using Windows graphic interface - in right click on the name of the file and selecting "extract all...". "the default behavior will be to create a directory, the same name as the zip file and extract in it.  Thus, file_1_of_2 pulls in directory_1_of_2 and file_2_of_2 extracted in directory_2_of_2.  You must override this stupid behavior by default and specify the directory yourself.  And specify the SAME directory for both files.

Or just go to a command prompt, change directories to the directory where the two zip files are located and deliver "unzip " and "unzip ", and they will both be properly unpack to a directory named "database".

  • Oracle Database 11 g installation problem: ORA - 12560:TNS: Protocol adapter error.

    People,

Hello. Initially, my Windows XP host name is 'localhost' and IP 127.0.0.1.

I installed Oracle Database 11 g with Windows XP successfully and all customers in the database with the database instance running.

For some reason, I uninstalled all of the database server and remove the whole installation directory /oracle.

I have configured the address IP of Windows XP in 192.168.196.101 to ping other machines.

For my needs, I installed Oracle Database 11 g with Windows XP again. During step 7 of 8: Oracle Database Configuration Assistant, I got this error:

ORA - 12560:TNS: Protocol adapter error.

I click on the button "Password management", there is no line in this window (no user name, no account of the lock).

I have check the listener as below:

    C:\ > lsnrctl
    LSNRCTL > start
His output: earphone HEADSET name has already been started.
    LSNRCTL > status
Its release:... Service DB1 has 1 instance. The instance BD1 ready state. The command completed successfully.

I check \Oracle\cfgtoollogs\dbca\DB1\trace file, the entry is:

    Listen [0] = LISTENER address = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP (port = 1522))(HOST=localhost))

I also check \oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\SAMPLE\tnsnames.ora file and listener.ora file, the entries are the same as below

    HOST = localhost port = 1522

I think that HOST = localhost and port = 1522 is the cause of the ORA-12560 error because Windows XP was configured in HOST = 192.168.196.101.

But I do not understand how to solve this problem.

Can any folk tell me how to solve this problem? must cancel the installation of 8 on step 7 and install it again?

    Thank you.

Does anyone have an idea what is talking about this error and how to get around?
I would be really appreciated. I'm getting desperate, because I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I thank very you much in advance!

Make sure that the IOM database schema is created.

This error is usually tied when the user 'SYSTEM' is used as a schema of the IOM. IOM does not account for database support as its schema SYSTEM.

After executing the prepare_db.sh, connect to the database using schema IOM to itself, if you have connectivity.

    Hello everyone,

I have a new FreeDos Y560 and impossible to install Win7. It shows all partitions in the menu Setup, but for everyone, says that windows cannot be installed. He tells me that they cannot be formatted ntfs (which is false) and also check the controller in the bios. I switched from ahci to ide mode and have the same problem.

Windows xp starts installation (only in ide mode), but stops at 7% during the installation the data.cab, I think maybe that's the same problem and it can not just write data to the hard drive.

the freedos, which has been pre-installed no longer works (worked the first time). When I boot without the cd boot, I get a PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable.

do you think that the hard drive is just damaged?

I can run ubuntu on cd, and did a small check it seems to be ok. but when I install ubuntu, after the restart, he went and I have to install it again (and again and again?)
