  Good question...

  In the past I've always done the firmware first, but I know that others don't has first ESXi and also does not work on a question.

• Cannot access BIOS after own Win 7 installed on the new HD

  I removed the CMOS battery and retried - same results. I can access the blue screen when I select the boot sequence by pressing ESC but never can I go back in the system BIOS.

  I read somewhere that it is better to factory reset a device prior to a software update. But idk how to do as after the update is downloaded just install through recovery. There is no option to clear data and factory reset before installing the software update

  Just a suggestion... since I'm not sure what the DEFAULT options will check beforehand, we will be absolutely sure through the ADVANCED interface:

  Open CryptoPrevent, click OK. Click the ADVANCED tab, select DISPLAY the ADVANCED OPTIONS.   In the left column, to halfway under various Protections, Acheck box for DISABLE WINDOWS SIDEBAR & GADGETS.   Then down to the right, click on the button of PROTECTION will APPLY.  Restart and see what happens.

  No guarantee it will make a difference, but it's worth a try.
