P1102 on Mac OS 10.9.1: error message "doesn't have a filter?

Suddenly my printer seems to no longer work...  I get an error message saying "filter has failed," and I need to update my driver, or contact the manufacturer.  No updated driver is available, and nothing has really changed last week (ie. not other software updates, can not imagine what else could have caused change suddenly).

Just seen this message before?

Hi kunsthof,.

Thanks for providing this information.

There is no link for the drivers except that Apple put to update that are available.

You can try to download and install this driver which might work with Maverick.

Printer HP v.2.16.1 for OS X drivers.

I check and repair the authorization to drive on the Mac.

In the Apple menu, click on Go, utility applications, disk utility, click Mac hard drive on the left side, click on verify disk permissions, when it is finished click on repair disk permissions.

(when it's over will show disk repair completed)

I would like to reset the printing system.
Note: This will remove all printers listed and you should add them in return.

Go to the Apple, system preferences, print them out and the scan, hold down the button of keyboard control and click that your mouse in the white area on the left side of the window, reset printing system comes up, select and implement Mac password.

Unplug the USB cable and restart the Mac.

Then plug the rear cable USB cable to see if the drivers updates automatically.

Then try and add the printer back by selecting the + button in print and scan window, if the driver is not installed automatically.

Let me know how make you out.
