P2715Q will be unreliable recovery mode sleep or restart using mDP to DP cable

Monitor = P2715Q
Graphics = Intel HD 530 (latest driver)
Cable = Dell CDM DP
Processor = i7 6700 k, 16GBOperating System = 10 64-bit Windows (latest drivers, bios etc..)
Display set to 3840 x 2160 x 60 - DP 1.2
Motherboard Asus Z170-AR with the latest version of the BIOS

System and the monitor are brand new. Everything worked fine for the first two weeks with my old Dell monitor connected to the monitor with DVI and HDMI on the motherboard, running at 1920 x 1080 x 60. After about 2 weeks, I bought the new Dell P2715Q monitor for 3840 x 2160 x 60. Everything seemed fine at first. Then after a few weeks, I started to notice problems more and more. In the beginning, it was just a problem with the desktop icons are rearranged after the awakening of the energy saving mode. Then I started having problems with the monitor that comes out of sleep at all (I have to press the reset button on the computer to restart). Now, I have big problems with the monitor immediately go to sleep when I try to log on my Windows account. More half the time, the monitor correctly will not resume from the computer being asleep or reset the system warm or cold. After 2, 3 or 4 press the reset button, my office will finally load.

The display often spend in good energy saving mode when I get my password to access my account from windows, and of my desktop never loads. Therefore, it seems that the problem has nothing to do with Windows, drivers or other software. He points to hardware and/or software or defective cable between the motherboard and the monitor problem. Good DP 1.2 communication does not occur systematically.

Please tell us which graphics drivers have been tested with this monitor to work properly with 3840 x 2160 60 Hz, DP 1.2.

Please let know us if there is an update of the available monitor firmware to solve this problem. The current version is A03, which seems to me later.

I tried many things to solve this problem (uninstall and reinstallation, checking registry for information exact EDID, using different drivers Intel graphics, monitor reset to the factory settings, etc..)

Please tell us what other steps can I take to solve the problem.

Most of the users who got the A03 never spokesperson. They had to cross an Exchange used Dell to get the last revision.

  • Hard drives will not remain in mode 'sleep'

For two weeks, something strange happens. My hard drives in sleep mode and out instantly. They will not remain in mode 'sleep'. Any hour of delay, I place, they will behave like this. So even if I place a time to sleep 1 minute, you will hear them go to sleep and instantly out every minute, without interruption. It's used to work perfectly before for months. I have not installed anything again (with the exception of Windows updates). I checked with performance monitor, if something is accessing the disks, but there is no drive activity whatsoever. I also tried to stop the process as much as possible, but that did not help either. The only thing I've changed three weeks ago was my graphics (Radeon 6850 to GTX580) but I'm not sure that the problem started then. Only two weeks ago, I noticed the issue. If anyone else has experienced something like this?

  • My hard drive will not close in mode 'sleep'

My hard drive runs continuously when my iMac 2011 model is put into mode 'sleep' or expires in mode 'sleep'. I guess that's the drive I can hear something quietly spinning inside.and computer is a little warm. It started only in recent weeks. Before that, the computer has been completely silent and gave off no heat. the operating system is El Capitan.

    Hello, Blue Roses,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that you have a problem with the hard drive of your iMac running when your computer goes into mode 'sleep'. I know how it is important to make sure you slowed down your drive hard when you have to. I'll be more than happy to help you with this.

You can activate the option "Put hard drives to sleep when possible" in preferences energy saver of your iMac by following this path: Apple menu > System Preferences > energy saver > put a check mark next to hard drives was able to sleep when possible. Once you have enabled this, test and see if you get the same result with the rotation of the hard drive.

The following article contains more information on energy-saving preferences:

Preferences of OS X El Capitan: energy saving

If you still have a question after that, try to start your computer in safe mode and create a new user to see if you get the same result in both. This can help to identify the problem of the current user and the whole system. The following articles will help:

OS X El Capitan: start in safe mode

OS X El Capitan: set up users on your Mac.

    See you soon!

  • Windows will not remain in mode 'sleep'

My guess is that there is a task is scheduled during the time that I put my computer into sleep mode.  When I say not to go in standby mode, it will often directly go into "locked" mode only.  Another problem I had is that there was a time where the computer would go to standby very well, but when I went to use the computer the next day, I would find the office running, meaning not in locked mode or "standby mode".  I have tasks scheduled for a few nights, but another thing I'm wondering is, when the task is complete, it's supposed to go naturally in mode 'sleep' if I allowed him to sleep when he is silent for a certain period of time, including when a task is completed, even if the task brought the computer out of sleep for the task.  Help!

  • Windows 8 will not wake up mode 'sleep'

I have a Dell desktop with Windows 8 and he will wake up sleep mode, if it isn't being used for awhile but if left for a long time he goes to sleep and won't wake up. I tried to turn it back on

    • touch mouse
    • touch the power button / stop
    • using the windows key + C
    • no result except if I make a strong power down
Now, he has started to download windows updates without installing
The best that I have saved for the end... It will not cut down, it will only in power saving mode
    very frustrating... suggestions please?

Was given this same problem and I fixed it.  Check to make sure that she is not actually wake up!  In my case was wake the computer itself, but the graphics card was not.  I could hear the processor fan back, hard disks turn upward, but nothing on my screen.  In my BIOS, there is an option to do not allow the built-in graphics adapter sleep.  It was called "RC6 make Standby" and I turned it off - fixed!

  • Satellite Pro A100 - recovery mode sleep with keyboard or media remote

    Hi guys

I have devoted my Satellite Pro A100 to be a media center which is located under the TV and can play media network and DVD etc..
    It is using Vista.

I want to set up, is that the lid is closed 24/7 365 days and when I want to use I just press "SLEEP" or power button on the remote control or the keyboard and it fires up ready for action.

POINT TO THE NOTE. I did it successfully with my OLD Tecra M3. However, was too slow for vista and media center

However, I put the power settings I want etc, close the cover nothing and activated standby hybrid (favorite sleep).

Now I CAN put it to sleep with the remote control or the multimedia keyboard. BUT I can wake up?... NO!. I thought about everything... went to the Device Manager and made sure that all the options for the remote control and keyboard and USB receiver are set to WAKE FROM SLEEP. The only thing to wake up it is the power button - which defeats the purpose of it sitting there like a dvd player.

awake when the remote control and keyboard function very well - I made sure that the batteries are charged.
I have the latest version of the BIOS and speaking of BIOS there is no option power S3 I noticed, but then there were not on the M3 and it worked very well in terms of sleep and wake up with the IR.

I come to the forum because even though I know that some older systems will not work with vista - IF the M3 will work - I'm sure that the A100 twice as new and powerful.

Has anyone had this before - that I missed it must look me in the face.

    Thanks in advance.

PS Also lately the touchpad played upward IE left and right clickers Exchange feature so one second your work as normal the next minute you click left and right clikc menu appears. Reset the synaptic reinstalled - rebuilt - BIOS - no difference.

When I worked in management for a large company when it started happening was not good news - it's a bad news?

    Hello

I m not very well why it doesn t on your Satellite Pro A100 and why it works on M3.
But the fact is that the Satellite Pro A100 doesn t support the FIR (Fast InfraRed) port and the
Tecra M3 supports the fast infrared port.

Maybe this could be the reason why you can not activate the laptop using the infrared remote control multimedia.

    Welcome them

  • Recovery mode sleep using external USB keyboard

    Hello

I use a R400 with XP pro sp3. At home, I connect an external monitor and keyboard usb (logitech) + mouse (ms), but not using a docking station. When not to use the laptop I obviously put it in standby mode, but for the wakes, I have to open the cover and press the power button, not very practical.

There must be a way to wake up using the mouse or the keyboard, but I have not yet found how, even after a bit of googling autour. I have all the software usual lenovo/TV installed to the latest version (including keyboard customizer), so I can use right-ctrl + F4 from the external keyboard to go to sleep - but do not resume.

In the BIOS, I change the setting for USB keep the power on in all power States, but this did not help. Another thing to check/change?

    see you soon

  • ThinkPad T60 8744 will not stay in mode 'sleep'.

I apologize if this question has already been addressed elsewhere in this forum; I looked at some length and any mention of it is found.

I had a problem recently with my ThinkPad T60 8744-5BU running Windows Vista Business SP1.  Whenever I put my laptop sleep (whether by closing the lid or using the combo Fn + F4), it will remain so for anywhere from 30 minutes.  At one point during the transport, the laptop comes out fashion 'sleep'.  It is very good and everything except that it is usually in one of these sleeves neoprene inside my bag Targus, which means that at the time when I get where I'm going, I could use it to make pancakes.

Because it always seems to happen while I'm away, I figured that maybe it was a problem with an Active Protection, but neutralizing him did not resolve the issue.

Has anyone run into this problem or heard of something similar?  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Ben

  • iPhone not recognized by iTunes in recovery mode

    Hello

I have disabled my iPhone by entering the password wrong too many times.

I do not have a reliable PC, so it makes things a little more difficult. The device is not (ask for the trusted PC) when it is connected normally but does not offer the option to restore the default values. She however does not recognize the device when it is in Recovery Mode.

I checked my drivers, all the required software are installed, I use an original with port 2.0 usb cable (I also plugged my iPad who trusted the PC and checked another iPhone that is not disabled and both work)

I followed apple for iPhone reset guide, but it does not go past the stage where iTunes should appear a window with the option to update or restore the device

Someone at - he encountered this problem before? Any thoughts?

I asked a friend who works in an Apple repair shop and he has not encountered this problem before.

    Thank you!

    Try DFU

Connect your device to your computer with a USB cable.

    Turn off the device.

Hold the Power button for 3 seconds.

Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds.

Release the Power button but keep holding the Home button.

After that 15 seconds, you will be alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode.

If this does not work, try the old way of doing the recovery mode

    Launch iTunes

Connect the USB cable to the PC, but NOT on the iPhone

    Turn the iPhone off

    Hold the "home" button

    Connect the cable

Keep now "home" button until you get the iTunes icon and the cable on the screen of the iPhone

    Restore as a new

    Hope that helps
