P50-A-12Z - opaque screen satellite

Hello world

I recently bought this laptop, installed with Windows 8.1.

I am very satisfied with its performance, but there is a question I do not understand (same toshiba support did not explain):

On google chrome and Manager of the computer image is Opaque.
I already checked this issue on another laptop (same model) and have the same symptom!

Anyone know how to fix this? ! ?

I don't know if the problem is related to the drivers of graphics (Intel HD 4600 and GeForce 4750), but I already did all possible updates...

Thank you.

Best regards

Opaque screen using Google Chrome browser only or also other browsers like Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc?

Have you noticed a difference in using different plants (ECO mode, battery mode, performance, etc.)

  • Repetitive blue screens on Satellite P50-A-12Z

    Hi all

I bought my computer a month ago, and from time to time, my cell phone goes right down and restarts.

The thing is that when he does, he does 3 or even 4 times in a row. This happened 5 or 6 times since I have (so I, like the accidents of 15 to 20 a month for a brand new computer purchased 1000...)

Usually, I get these errors while playing League of Legends, but it's happened that it crashed without reason after 20 minutes of use of the base, while sometimes I can play games 3 hours online with no problems.

Here are 4 mistakes, I was able to write before its judgment:

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (WUDFRd.sys)
    DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
    DRIVER_IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (igdkmd64.sys)
    DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

I tried to update the video drivers, but it does not solve the problem...

    Any ideas?

    Kind regards
    Valentine G.

PS: I apologize for any mistakes, I'm not a native English speaker

    Hello

I put t think that this graphics card driver can cause the system breaks down
The errors mentioned don t look like the graphics driver would affect the system, but these are internal processes Windows system crashed for no apparent reason.

Because of this, you must set the laptop back to factory settings permanently. The best procedure to do that is to drive HARD recovery.
After the HARD drive recovery don t install all the drivers or other 3rd applications before you have tested the functionality of the laptop.

  • Satellite P50-C-12Z - SSD drive in a caddy DVD work

I removed the shutter of the dvd drive Bay room and replaced it with a shopping cart. In the caddy is a 120 GB SSD. The SSDS works perfectly when the OS is Windows 10 and I can use it for data. At this point, I don't want Exchange readers.

However, I am a Linux user.

When Linux starts the player is never seen. The boot order is the same as in Win10, HDD, USB, DVD. Every time you start, I get the message:

"device special sdb1 does not exist."

If I then boot into Win10 and then start again in Linux, the SSD is located, can be partitioned and mounted correctly. If I stop and start again under Linux, SSD has disappeared! Why should he need to win10 to allow Linux to find it?

The BIOS is the last and the SSD firmware later.

It seems that Linux does not detect the drive on its own. I tried all of the suggestions I found in Linux forums without success and I was wondering if another user Toshiba had managed to get a disc, not necessarily an SSD, working in a shopping cart.

  • PowerPoint maps is extended on a large screen Satellite Pro

Hi - I have a satellite Pro M50 widescreen notebook. When I use Powerpoint, creating graphics, the graphics and the graphic police seem tense. I tried to change the resolution settings, but this is not enough. I guess what might work would be to reduce the size of the active screen, but I have no iade how to proceed. Can anyone help with this? Thank you very much.

As far as I know the content displayed on the screen will be automatically stretched to the borders of the display. Maybe force I understood you right, but you want to see the PowerPoint presentation to the 4:3 format. Am I wrong?

  • Replacing the screen satellite U840-10V

    Hi guys,.

My Satellite U840-10V hinge on the right side screen broke when I accidentally dropped the laptop. This happened almost 2 years ago and today he is out, which separates it from the window of the screen. I had this problem temporarily to a nearby repair shop and was advised to contact toshiba to replace the head of screen. my warranty expired in 2013 and I did not apply to it.

Can someone advise the best course of action to replace the screen? I live in ealing, London and am able to go to a provider of services close to who would be able to replace it. I like really this laptop and I would like to replace the screen as soon as possible instead of dishing out money on another new laptop.

    Kind regards

  • Brightness too weak to play SIMS 3 screen satellite P855-335

    Hello

I would really appreciate if you could help me.

I bought there not too long ago, this laptop, Toshiba Satellite P855-335 and its runs smoothly, with all my apps and games. I love it! BUT when I play Sims 3 in screen is too dark, that it ruins the game as it feels as I play in the dark!

Is IM on windows 8 and running on full brightness setting, there anything I can do to change the brightness? so I can see the colors right when Im playing?

    Pease help!

Have you checked the game specific settings?
If I understand your problem, low light is visible only by playing the Sims 3. The brightness of the screen other games is OK.

For me, this means that the brightness and probably all the other graphic display settings can be changed in the game. I recommend the game menu and the options available. Something like gama, brightness etc.

Alternatively, you can try to reinstall the game sometimes new facility could be the key!

  • Re: Magenta/Purple mount screen Satellite Pro C660-2JR

    Hello

I just brought a new laptop Satellite Pro C660-2JR and a few hours after getting it I noticed he has a purple cast/tint on any gray tones and is especially noticeable if a B & W image is seen because it has tones of purple, white and black with grey wire no real!

Its very visible on the default settings (which are mostly dressed and contrasting even after I turned the backlight down) and I adjusted the brightness, contrast and gamma via graphics driver as by test cards, but despite that I get this darn will not disappear.

Is the only way to sort of get rid of him for the contrast of the Green layer but affecting the other colors as well so it's not really solve the problem and the cast usually ends either be clear or green purple with no real neutral gray.

This distribution is visible in all lighting and all the corners of the screen.

I send it back for a replacement or open a repair warranty on the laptop, is there anything anyone can suggest I do?

It is not easy to discuss this issue. We will see what it looks like.

In my opinion, you should contact your local dealer, compare it with other laptops of the same series and ask for replacement.

  • Constant rebooting with blue screen - Satellite A60 332

I have a Satellite A60-332 for topic a little more than two years now, recently, I noticed two major problems which I did not have time to run to the top:

    1. sometimes the laptop restarts just by itself for no reason. When I'm working, a blue screen with white text pops up for half a second and restart the system. Rarely another question occurs after that it will not restart but will be beep like crazy.

    2. I've had this problem since I bought my laptop; Sometimes the laptop won't play audio. What happens is after turning on the system; If the audio does not work: all the 'switches' in the volume control window will be present (wave, cd player, to the, telephone line, etc.). But sometimes when the audio does not work it just shows three switches, not more.

I've had these two problems for a while now, and I've reformatted my computer at least 5 times since I bought it, these problems never go away.

I also had another question; my hard drive is the 30 GB supplied with Toshiba. I tried to upgrade, but heard that most laptops, including Toshiba, have a hidden partition on the hard disk called a tatoo, that is when some of the system files are stored so that when you run the recovery discs, they function properly. Can anyone confirm this because, of course, is not a pull & pop work to install a new hard drive, because I won't be able to copy this tatoo.

Many thanks for any help in advance.

    Hello

1.) BSOD appears mainly due to the failure of the serious software or hardware failure. The laptop could also automatically stopped due to overheating. In this case, you should check your fans and clean if possible with the vacuum cleaner. But be careful. If it won't work not then test the operating system with the new installation of the OS. Perhaps a 3rd party software is a bad influence.
In addition, check if the device uses the latest version of the BIOS. If this is not the case, the update.

2.) don t know why this happens but maybe due to overheating mentioned.
However, you could try reinstalling the audio driver.

3.) sometimes laptops come with the Qosmio player or express media player. These players are installed on the hidden partition. I don t think that there could be another reason for hidden partitions.

  • Update screen satellite L750

Hi have a Toshiba Satellite L750 with a 1366 x 768 screen, the GPU is an Intel HD Graphics 2000 (device id 0106).
Resolution max should be 2560 x 1600, according to https://software.intel.com/en-us/art...cs-hd-graphics

Yet when I try with a 1920 x 1080 screen, it seems that all green pixels are Max all the time.

I wrote a page about it here: http://www.emagnusandersson.com/lapt...n_upgrade_fail

The 1920 x 1080 screen dealer, said that the screen is OK.

The 1920 x 1080 screen dealer, said that the screen is OK.

What shall I say: maybe that dealer isn't fair... could be interesting to know if another screen would work correctly...

  • Line problem vertical screen satellite 3000

my laptop is Satellite 3000, it had vertical line problem now, I want to use an outdoor screen tube to replace the current damaged LED screen.

I tried to use the swap FN + F5 key, but it's still doesn't work, I tried to log into the system to check, ((windows xp) system is normal), but I don't see anything because the screen is black, it will not be in the system even if I have in connected to the local network, because the configuration of mobile network function is forbidden to communicate with the internet , (I ghost before it has completely damaged), the question is:

1, I have to configure something so she may use it outside the screen in windows XP? or just use the FN + F5 swap button?

2, how am I going to do next step if I want to use the external screen?

    thx a lot

    Hello

the first question you should ask is, if the machine works really well. This means that all THE drivers are installed and so on.
    The other thing is:
When you connect the external monitor to your computer, you see something while turning on the machine? (Logo of Toshiba, Windows XP start screen, etc.).
Usually, you should be able to work on an external display, and if all drivers and tools (such as FN + F5-> change device display tool) are installed, then the "display" button should be possible.

Please answer and describe if you see something that we can do some better troubleshooting.

    Welcome them

  • Re: Vista doesn't show log on screen - Satellite P200-1K9G

    I have a Toshiba Satellite P200 1K9G.

When I start my laptop, watch the boot screen, then the Vista loading screen displays and then not much after that, sometimes, I get my mouse cursor appears, but that's all.
I can't open a session, because the log on screen simply does not appear.

I fear that this may be a hardware problem... rather than a problem with Vista, although I have not made major changes that should affect the way it starts. I did however, download the latest ATI drivers, but after a reboot, it doesn't seem to be a problem.

In addition, my laptop recently started producing a static sound if no sound was produced through a program, i.e. iTunes.

I tried to start in Safe Mode, but my knowledge of computers is limited, can someone help me?

    Kind regards

    Hello

You can try using the Advanced Boot Menu.
If you press F8 immediately after that the laptop was turned on then an advanced boot menu should appear offering boot options more.

One of the options should be the last known good Configuration (Advanced)
Check if you can use this option.
More details can be found here on this page of MS:
    http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/f9c50a72-04EC-4088-9fd4-a4f979eef5a71033.mspx

But in the worst cases, the laptop must be recovered again.

This could be the beginning of the end for the my toshiba graphix good?

    TYVM. OPERATING SYSTEM

    Hello

Switches of combination between the internal display and the external video output of keys FN + F5.
So if you want by pressing the FN + F5 buttons, you can switch to external monitor, TV, or monitor external and internal display.

In my opinion you should first update the display driver after the laptop has loaded the Vista.
In addition, go to BIOS and set it to the default settings as well.

Check also if the external monitor has not been defined as a main display...

Last but not least, you could try to reinstall the whole OS in order to check if the problem still persists

  • Brightness of the screen Satellite A200 - 1 H 2

Last week, I bought a new A200 with Vista on it. Under Vista, I use the Fn + F6/F7 shortcut keys to change the brightness of the screen, and one night, I put the brightness to the lowest. Then I restarted the system with a Windows XP installation cd, and the brightness stayed with the smaller settings.
In Windows XP, I have install Toshiba Power Saver and I can adjust the brightness of the screen again, but I suspect that I can't do it as bright as before again.

So my question is, don't the A200 screens have fixed brightness settings (1 to 8) or are they related?
example, if you set the brightness to 1 using the hardware keys and you install a new OS, then the Toshiba Power Saver will recognize fixing 1-8, so in fact your new maximum brightness becomes 1. This would mean that the brightness is relative, or is that not the case?

As far as I know the last option will be saved in the BIOS and after installing the new OS, the OS take this option in the BIOS. I noticed the same thing on my Satellite P200.

I think the best option is to have BIOS updated to version 5. XX (version supported WXP) installed WXP, all the drivers, tools and utilities for you and everything will be OK.

  • Need information about screen Satellite L300

    Hello

Does anyone know if the Satellite L300 screen is the same as the Satellite Pro L300 screen i.e. 1 held on the other?

    Thank you

    AL

I agree, should not be a great difference between the views. The main characteristics (size, connector) should be the same and the screen released for Satellite Pro L300 is compatible with the Satellite L300 model
