p6510 upgraded PSU and graphics

I'm looking at various ATX power supplies to replace my standard 250W in the new p6510f that I just bought.

Virtually every ATX PSU that I pick up varies by between 2-8mm...

Can someone tell me what the exact dimensions of the PSU standard p6510f are? The page fact sheet on HP website lists only '250W '...

Also, in terms of power... With regard to the circulation of air in the Mid Tower p6510f... Only the power of the elements? 550W, 650W, 750W?

There the Athlon II X 4 630 processor with the 785 G chipset... If I want to upgrade to the compatible certified (on the AMD/ATI site)... ATI Radeon HD 4670...

The site lists the Mfr diamond, Visiontek, Sapphire, MSI and GeCube... Anyone has any particular recommendation about these manufacturer?

Thank you... RNMike78

RoyalSerpeant has a guide on upgrading of power supply that can be useful:

Personally, I like the cards from MSI. Generally have a longer warranty, too.

I currently have the HP Pavilion Desktop 550 015 which has a 180w PSU and a GTX 745.

I'm looking to upgrade to a power supply 450W and then later on the track upgrade the graphics card. I learned that some pre-built computers have a BIOS limitation, which may mean that it will not approve some GPU chipsets.

Is this the case with my PC?

Thank you for the additional information.

I see no reason why this power supply does not work for you.  I love Corsair products.  However, if I were you, I would buy a 500W power supply at least.  It will give extra power to the use of maximum power and won't cost much more if necessary.

  • Upgrades power and graphics of a6600f HP

I asked HP if I could upgrade my chart and the power supply on my hp bureau a6600f. I gave olinks to the power supply and card I want to use. They referred that the power supply may damage the motherboard. I was under the impression that the pc will only draw power that it must run. Here's the card I want to use, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125288&nm_mc=OTC-Channel&cm_mmc=OTC-channel...

And it comes to the food, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371007

Can someone tell me if this work and also to mount my frame? Thank you very much.

    P. S.

The reason for the 500w PSU is to give me a small margin. I play eve online and it's a big eater of power of a game and I really need a better card I have.

The power that you chose should be OK.  The NVIDIA 9800 GT is a long card. Open your PC and a measure for the length of the maximum 16 x PCI-E card. These small HP mini are tight inside.

You may want to consider an ATI 4850 or the GT 240 from NVIDIA 1 GB DDR5.  The ATI 4850 is slightly faster than the 9800 GT and the 240.

  • making level Dimension E520 psu and graphics GeForce 8800 gt

Hello, I'm new here and despite searching have not found the solution yet. I want to update the graphics card integrated into the above - named card is a Zotac AMP! Edition, if it makes a difference. However disturbing to some info I found on previous posts, my diet (standard dell 305 w) isn't any spare molex cables, a single cable dvd - ROM.

So I decided to move the power supply to a Thermaltake TR2 470w, that comes with the required advance pci-e and many more to spare. Problem is, it just doesn't work. Nothing, not a spark. I jumped the other psu back to check something went wrong, and it works very well. Then I sent the TR2 back and got a refund - it was in perfect working order, after all.

Now, I know other Dimensions will have a TR2 430w (40w can make a difference?) so why not my E520? And have I not all hope to install this fine map?

Thank you very much for any help offered!

  • Pavilian g4: product D5U66PC model #ACJ G4-1305AU series 5CD32631DZ can I upgrade processor and graphics card

Can I upgrade processor G4 pavilian

    Hello

I can't find the full specs of your computer:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-G4-notebook-PC-series/5186805/model/5374496/product-info

But I can answer here using information from other G4 computers:

    (a) for CPU: you need to replace the motherboard too and it is a very expensive upgrade. Please read the manual on the link third next (page 84):

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-G4-notebook-PC-series/5186805/model/5374496/manuals

    (b) no doubt a no, can't you straight up to 90% of laptops can't do this part, including yours.

    Kind regards.

due to the diablo 3. I updated graphic setting the lowest. FPS is between 15-22 so I'm interested in upgrading my power supply HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 510 t(specs are above) and graphics card with the following, respectively:

GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1 GB 256-bit GDDR5

    GPU size: 9 "x 4.4"

Power supply: Antec High Current Gamer HCG-750 750W Series

I wonder if these prodcuts will enter the computer, as is or if I should look for other products.

    Thank you

The ASUS GTX 560 should adapt and work very well. The Antec PSU is great and very likely to have problems in the space provided. It can interfere with connections to the motherboard and push against the CD/DVD discs. Please look at the Corsair CX600 instead. It is only slightly larger than the block of power SUPPLY HP stock and is known to adapt.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210y - upgrade power supply and graphics card?

You just bought a new computer that I am generally satisfied, but it is not fit to play top games I like (for example Metro 2033).  I was looking into upgrading my graphics card and discovered that I have a 300W power supply.

I heard that HP computers are notorious for difficulties in upgrading equipment thanks to the compact design the area.  What power supply and graphics card I should be able to use?  Information links and price would be very appreciated.

I use my LG HDTV 32 "as a monitor and my current graphics card allows me to connect using an HDMI cable and play movies blu - ray via my PC.  I want to keep this feature.

    Thanks for any help!

You need to open your PC and measure the physical dimensions of your diet.  Here is a list of the things to consider:

    1. Specifications
    2. Total power - important
    3. amperage 12 + v - important
    4. Modular - is not required, but I like the flexibility
    5. Warranty
    6. I7 and SLI ready
    7. Efficiency rating
    8. Cost
    9. The physical size - standard ATX PSU is 5.5 "by 5.9" by 3.4 "give or take a few tenths

www.Newegg.com has many choices of power supplies.  Corsair, OCZ, Rosewill, Thermaltake...

The amount of amperage + 12 volts is important when choosing a video card.  Depending on the size of the Cabinet from HP a 550-600 watt PSU should be plenty.  The NVIDIA GT 460 should be a good choice.

  • Pavilion 6540y: the upgrading of power supply and graphics card

I need to update my graphics card. What is the best inexpensive card graphics and power supply to buy for my HP Pavilion 6540 Y. I use it mainly for work and graphic design. Currently, the stock video card doesn't have enough memory to effectively run Photoshop and painter with three monitors. Photoshop's request at least 512 M of memory for what I do, but I'd like to at least 1 GB. Sometimes I will have Photoshop and painter running at the same time.

    Hello

I love the Corsair CX500 or the 520w Seasonic because they adapt to the physical dimensions for your PC.

Your first consideration should be Support HP or HP sales during the consideration of upgrades or replacement of memory. If you want to consider other manufacturers of the best way to avoid memory problems is to contact one of the leading manufacturers of memory. I would recommend that you try the tools of these manufacturers: Corsair, Kingston andCrucial. Once you have determined the DIMMs that you need, then contact commercial or technical support to check that you have selected the correct DIMMS. If you buy directly from manufacturers, then they will stand behind their products.

1 of 3. Theoretically you can upgrade the processor as follows:

Processor Intel Core i7-820QM 1.73 GHz, SC turbo up to 3.06 GHz with 8 MB of L2 cache
and 1333 MHz front side bus (FSB)

Frankly I would not worth it. The workload and potential will weigh much more heavily in the balance than the gain of performance negigible. An SSD would be much easier and would provide even more performance gain in any other game.

The GeForce 230 M is the best graphics available in this series, so there is no motherboard better. Graphic design is not a replaceable but welded card to the motherboard. There is only one available for this model fan. Perhaps you could improve its performance with best chocks composed or perhaps thermal thermal but it's a cutting-edge engineering.

  • HP ProBook 4445 s processor and graphics card upgrade

    Hello

I need to have my CPU and graphics card upgraded to the requirements below please add link/s that will help me

    Processor
I need to improve my processor 1.90 GHz to 4 GHz (at least 2.66 GHz). Then please add a link/s to this processor/s that I can use to upgrade my laptop to 2.66 GHz at least, or reach 4 Ghz.

    Video card
I also need to improve my video card from the AMD Radeon HD 7640 G to a DirectX 11 with 2 GB of video ram (at least 1 GB of video ram). Please add link/s on what card video/s who reach the requirements I need.

    Thank you

    Here's the problem with that:

    AMD A6 - 4400M, Max 3,2 GHz / 2.7 - GHz Base, 1 MB of L2 cache, Dual-Core,.
    Graphic 35W: 7520G HD

    AMD - A8 4500 M, Max 2.8 GHz/1, 9-basis of GHz, 4 MB L2 cache, quadcore,.
    Graphic 35W: 7640G HD

    AMD - A4 - 4300M, 3.0 GHz maximum / 2.5 - GHz Base, 1 MB of L2 cache, double
    Core, graphic 35W: HD 7420 G

Above are your graphics options for laptop. If yours is 1.9 ghz it cannot the A8, which is the best CPU and GPU option available. The video is part of the processor. There is just no way for you to improve the graphics capabilities of this laptop. It may seem like the A-6 is better because it works to 2.7 ghz, but there only 2 hearts: you have 4. And the 7520 graphics are lower than what you have. That's what you try to do? There is not too many computers that reach 4 ghz, not to mention a laptop.

  • 3647 Inspiron small office limit of RAM and graphics upgrade card limit

    Hello world

I thought about upgrading RAM on my Inspiron 3647 small office and graphics for a while now, and I would ask if she can handle 16 GB of RAM (8GBx2) and for all of the suggestions for an upgrade of a 625 GT that would go in his case. The computer has 2 DIMM slots, so I don't think that the 16 GB of ram should be a problem. He already has 4 GB pre-installed.

    Thanks in advance.

    It supports 16 gigs.

  • The x 51 PSU and GPU upgrade?

    Hello

I just bought the x 51 (http://www.amazon.com/Alienware-AX51R2-5726BK-X51AX51R2-5726BK-Gaming-Desktop/dp/B00FE8MJSO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1404271057&sr=8-1&keywords=x51). I was a little disappointed by the performance (running watch dogs on smaller settings and still getting lag problems). I'm looking to upgrade to the R9 270 x, but external power skinny 240 watts does not seem to be up to the task.

I found a post on this topic here: http://en.community.dell.com/owners-club/alienware/f/3746/t/19579742.aspx but do not see anything specific on the upgrade of the PSU. I also wanted to check that my X 51 will be compatible with the R9 x 270.

How can I upgrade the PSU, and where can I get the right replacement?

    Thanks for the help!

    Edit:

Yes, the R9 270 X is the fastest videocard supported for this model. However, the video card from this link does not have the X 51 R2.

Supported in the X 51 R2 larger dimensions are 9.5 "length, height 4,376". The dimensions of this video according to Amazon card are:

    Product dimensions: 10.2 x 5.1 x 1.5 inches

Note: The adapter from 330W should be enough for the 270 R9 or R9 270 X.

  • Power supply and graphics card update

    Hello

I own a HP p6610f desktop computer and want to upgrade my power supply and graphics card.

    Power supply:

I saw recommended Corsair CX500 and I found a CX500M of Corsair for sale. I'm fairly certain that it will work with the graphics card, I'm considering the purchase. The CX500M would work with my device?

    Graphics card:

I have need later in the technology of graphics card but I still want to improve my current AMD Radeon HD 4200. I plan an AMD Radeon HD 6570 because it meets my needs and fits my budget. Would this work with my p6610f and a PSU Corsair CX500M?

If it helps, I want to update the graphics card to play some place the modern games (Assassin Creed Revelations and maybe Assassin Creed 3 on low heat) and possibly install a Blu - Ray player.

I ask because I can't seem to find an answer clear enough to calm my fears to ruin my computer if I go with these two options.

    Thank you!

Food: The CX500M of Corsair is a great choice and will definitely enter the computer.

Graphics card: you can get a Radeon HD 6670 for the same price as a Radeon HD 6570 and on a faster card of 20 to 25%. Or a little more money, you can get a Radeon HD 6770 and about 125% faster. In all cases, measure from the rear of the case further along the PCIe x 16 location plan. Just shy of an obstacle comes as long of a card you want.

  • I want to replace the power supply and graphics card in my p6550z

    Hello

I'm looking to replace my power supply (BESTEC 300 watts) and the graphics card (ati radeon hd 5450). Here is a link to the HP page with my pc: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=4242359&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us

The card I want to put is an Amd Radeon HD 6870. And I also want to put in a block of power SUPPLY Corsair 550 Watt.

They will work when I install them? (I'm actually a little nervous about the upgrade my power supply and graphics card since it is the first time I'm doing this) (I'm also nervous because I've heard many horror stories about upgrading an HP computer)

    Hello

There is a small metal tab inside (guts) on some models of PC HP adds stability to food. You'll have to push the tab down to get food out.  The link below will show this tab.

How to replace a power supply.

How to replace a video card.

Corsair power supply (psu) I used can be mounted with the fan facing upwards or downwards depending on where fresh air is available from. Some PC cabinets have mesh ventilation where the PSU Monte so the fan should face the ventilation mesh so that fresh air can be brought into the power supply and then exhausted at the rear. Some HP computers have slots to air ventilation through the upper edges of the flanks and in this case, the PSU is mounted to the top fan. Otherwise, the Assembly of the fan should be such that the PSU will draw air from inside the Cabinet.
