P7-1235: helps p7-1235 video card!

Please someone help! I have a p7-1235 and I'm trying to upgrade to a video card to improve game performance. The problem I have is that I can't get a card to work. First of all, I tried XFX r9 270 x without a bit of luck, will not appear. Traded the card for XFX r7 260 x still same problem, after I went to Best Buy, which is where I got the two cards, they tried another XFX r7 260 x and it doesn't work too. They even if the MOMO couldn't handle the power draw of the map and recommended a card with less power needs. At this point, I returned the third card XFX. I bought an EVGA gtx 750ti hoping it would work. Well now, it starts and allows you to start windows screen and hangs there. Just FYI, I've updated the power supply, first got a thermaltake 650w with 43A on the rail. Since that o the help, I'm back too. Currently, I have a PSU of 500w with 31A on the rail and when all connections have been made correctly and power connectors are connected. I am at my end of witts and everyone with insite please help. I was thinking about an older chipset, i.e. HD 7850 might work, but I don't know that Best Buy can ban me for life if they see me here with another comeback. Thanks in advance.

Hello

Try this EVGA GTX 660.

  • Help with my video card installation

For about 5 months, my uncle crashed his computer desktop HP Pavilion a6330f, pre-installed with Windows Vista, then he gave it to me, and I formatted the HARD drive and Windows XP Professional SP3 is installed. I installed all the drivers needed to access the Internet and then I carried others away. Here is the problem.

OK, so I got a new HD of VisionTek Radeon 3650 OC edition 1 GB GDDR2 video card. I went to VisionTek.com and got the same driver I needed, installed and restarted my computer, then I go into my BIOS and put my graphics card to PCI x 16, which is what the map is well connected and must also. Can I connect my monitor to the video card (Acer P206HL) and nothing comes, kaput. So I plug it into the built-in slot. I check my system info, it says that I always use the integrated card GeForce. But I don't see anything not connected it. Someone help please, I want to use my video card, because it's the only thing that keeps me playing Skyrim.

If you got XP drivers on this site while there could be no incompatibility

Or see if bus pci/pci-bridge Device Manager works (under devices sytem).

Hmm, looks like pci is the cause of the accident of your uncle had.

  • Help, T420s display/video card problem!

Hi all. I would be grateful for any input.

Recently happened a lot with my T420s especially when I was on the video playback in full screen. The screen has suddenly become as the image, I enclose below, and there is no answer at all. Then after 30 seconds or more, the system stops. I suspected a problem with my video card overheating. BTW, the fan in my T420s works also like crazy all the time, I put in place with this since I have my laptop

My last laptop was T61. With all the Nvidia graphics problem before, I am so afraid it would have hit me again. I would return the laptop immediately to Lenovo. I am writing my thesis now with this computer. Really cannot afford not having no not my computer for awhile.

  • Help! The video card upgrade

I have a HP Pavilion p6210y running under Windows 7 64-bit. I recently decided to update my video card and found the AMD Radeon HD 6970. He has an obligation to supply minimum 550 watts of power, so I improved my diet to a 600 Watt power supply.

After installing the video card, it continues to go unnoticed. Advice

Chaaaad, I think that your new power supply (PSU) may be the problem.  He says he has enough punch to power everything from entry-level to mainstream video card.  The XFX card is neither.  It's a high end card.  In addition, there is a 8.lorsque of power supply 6 pins on the map.  Click on the map image to see close-ups of it.  The background of the map image below shows a connector 6-pin on the right side.  This is an additional power connector.  If it is not a cable to do this on the PSU, the card will not work.

The PSU is the backbone of the computer.  It is not the place to save money.  I likeCorsai andOC.  Yes, they are more money, but they are made to your card.  As you can see, there are many comments from users of two of the PSU.  They are a 4 star rating.  That's what I want to see when I buy a computer component

Please let me know if you have any other questions

  • Help! Good video card work?

    Hi I recently baught a

    HP Pavilion 500-047c desktop PC

    Number of product = H5P71AA #ABA

And I was wondering if this http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=02G-P4-2774-KR EVGA gtx 770 with cooler would be able to turn on my PC, I was more wondering if he would be able to fit into the computer, or if I need a better system of power. And if there is a 6 pin and one 8 pin pci express built into the computer.

If you know the answer back.

    Thank you

I believe that the sons of the PSU on the power connectors must be long enough to connect to the card.  The extra boost that I mentioned would be added to the map, because power connectors stand out from the back of the card.

The power supply is very good.  Standard Corsair PSU is better than many so-called highend products.

  • One vs video card 2

I'd be better off using a GTX 980 or 2 97 GTX with SLI?

The 2 cards would come to $100 more and I would receive more VRAM and more CUDA cores...

With the help of two video cards cannot be considered if:

    • The power supply has enough power (think of 1000 + W).
    • The motherboard and chipset have enough (32 +) PCIe3.0-way free.
    • The CPU is at least an i7-5690 X overclocked to 4.5 GHz, or
    • Preferably a dual Xeon E5-2687v3 or better.
    • Memory is 64 + GB.

If these conditions are not met, the use of two video cards is a pretty safe way to waste money. SLI is not advisable. See Page Tweakers - what video card use?

You would not extra VRAM benefit when you have two cards. It is not a question of A + A. It is always managed internally by PR as only 1.

CS only support a single video card.

  • HP P7-1235 video

I have a P7-1235 and recently bought a Radeon HD 7850 and a new Rosewill 500 Watt PS. I'm unable to disable integrated video tho because it has no option in the BIOS, have I need to completely uninstall the existing video dashboard to have this new card to be recognized? I just get a black screen and a message stating there is no adapter connected. I have disabled the video card built into windows, but still nothing. I'm guessing there is a conflict between the edge and the map. Thanks for any idea!

There is no update of the BIOS for the motherboard.  I doubt that it would benefit you if there is a.  The responsibility to develop the VBIOS suitable for the card's manufacturer.

Looks like that Visiontek Support needs a few lessons in customer relations.  I highly recommend the XFX card.  The cards are high quality and Technical Support has always been great.

  • Graphic/video card [REPLACEMENT / UPGRADE] on the desktop HP Pavilion - help

    I have the following:

    Desktop HP Pavilion Elite m9152p

Upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (updated 11/2009)

The video card seems to have gone out and tried the following:

    Operating system reinstallation

Uninstalled & drivers Reinstalled & restoration

Before attempts above, no changes had been made to software or hardware only led to the same result: the video seems to be fine, and then it crashes and hangs and doesn't eventually having a hard reboot how, the computer loads the integrated video/graphic card.

I need to buy a replacement video/graphics card, but I'm not sure what card I need to be aware of, or that my computer can handle as a replacement and maybe a possible upgrade (not necessary) - any help in this regard would be most appreciated.

    Thank you!

    I think it's a good choice.

The comments seem positive most of the time that the fan seems to be quiet.

I don't know if your previous card had HDMI.

When you install your new video card, it can disable your sound system because of the HDMI audio chip on the video card.

If you do not lose your integrated audio system, after you install the video drivers, reboot the machine, go into BIOS, find the onboard audio setting. It can be set to Auto or disabled. Change the setting to "Enabled". Save the configuration when you have made the change and again when you exit the BIOS.

Upon restart, you will have your on-board audio back.

    Impatience back on your part.

Thanks for any help I can get!

    Hi IRL1231,

Open your PC and a few measurement in parallel with the PCI-E x 16 slot to see how long of a video card will fit. The adjacent slot on the PCI-E x 16 slot must be vacant. Look at the motherboard, and ensures that the components on the motherboard will not interfere with the installation of the video card.

This PowerColor Radeon 6850is $130 after rebate.  The card is 8.5 "length.

PSU Corsair CX500is $ 40 after rebate and it's quality food.

    ' HP ' how-to 'articlesshould be useful.

TIP: Remove the flange (cover) and unlock the scanner and move forward before you remove and replace the power supply. This will facilitate installation. The new PSU cables will be longer so find an empty Bay and store them in order to improve air flow.  Install the power supply and that your PC stable first before installing the video card.

  • Tried to replace the video card integrated with card pci-e x 16 and lost audio - help please

Is this normal - when you replace your car video with a pci-e video card you would lose your sound.  The system I have is a Pavilion a1450n and has 3 pci slots and 1 pci-e.  I changed the pci-e video in the bios and everything is fine, but no sound at all.  When I took out the card then I would sound.

    Please help.

The former system of video seems to give me a little trouble.  He keeps hide and freeze from time to time.  Don't know when that will happen.  But when this happens, a blue screen it freezes or just blanks out and comes back.  It will happen nobody knows.  Everything else works fine.  Hate to give up this old gem - for a lot of software installed to lose.

Thank you all very much for help.

    William

    Hi, William.

Yes, when you have an old PC where the BIOS does not have HDMI.

Your PC thinks that you have installed a sound card and a video card because of the HD audio chip on the video card.

Thus, he disabled the integrated audio system.

    The fix should be easy...

Go into the BIOS of your PC, look at the options menu and find the onboard audio setting.

It will be set to auto or off.

Change the setting to "Enabled". Save the configuration it and yet when you go out (save the settings and exit).

When you restart, you should have the back of Board.

    No mate problem!

A new processor, power SUPPLY and a graphics card means that, probably, a new decent machine might be a better option. Take a look on ebay, I suggest that a few Intel Core i5 - 750 can be a very good machine, because it's a pure core quad and beats even a core i7 mobile Processor...

Assuming that the integrated graphics controller is OK, try the following:

Launch a command (as a Runas administrator) window and enter the following commands in it:

    powercfg-h off

    powercfg/change-standby-timeout-ac 1440

The first command turns off "Feature of putting into hibernation"

The second command replaces the timeout stansby 24 hours when the system is connected to AC power.

  • Video card help

I have a HP Pavilion p6234f running on windows 7 home premium 64-bit. The vehicle currently has Intel Chipset G33/31 Express version 8.15.10.1912. I'm shopping for a new program for a job that requires a minimum configuration of OpenGL2.1. How do I get there? Thanks for any help

    You are welcome.

It is difficult to buy a video card for older computers.  Manufacturers make the newer cards with VBIOS' are requiring a UEFI BIOS.  HP didn't start to make motherboards with complete UEFI until October 2012.

Here is a card that should work for you.  It won't be good for the games, but it will be better than the integrated video.  It has OpenGL 4.1.  Read the reviews to see what they have to say about it.  If you decide not to buy this card, it is a good example of what you need.  It requires a power supply with a minimum of 400W.  I love Corsair products.  I recommend at least 500W.  This will give you some leeway for peak needs.  Modular power supply offers the choice to only use the cables needed.  This allows for better air circulation.
