  I got a blue screen of death issue. So I was setting the pc to the factory settings using the recovery on the HARD drive system. During the process, the pc has picked up on and now it won't do anything. Right guard reboot, not even start in safe mode. My HP Pavilion a6863w did not come with recovery discs, a section on the HARD drive has been designated for this. Before this happened I was able to run diagnostics and everything going on. processor, memory, hard drive, everything passed. How can I get the disks to recover. I have a HDD Seagate Barracuda 750.   But in order for me to post on Amazon, I need to create a new list, since nobody else is for sale. To create a new list, I need a product code unique for the desktop computer. I'm looking for the Universal Product Code (UPC). A UPC code is the bar code that would be tested at the point of sale when someone buys something.

  I have a few other computers, I'm trying to sell, and on the site Web of Toshiba, the first manual I opened a laptop shows me the UPC. HP manuals don't.

  I tried to call customer service. And both times I'm hung up or disconnected. It's very frustrating because I have a very basic question, and does not have I gotten a response yet.

  If someone can find the UPC for HP Pavilion a6230n and tell me how to get the Cup for HP products in the future, I would be very happy. Thank you!

  1. Turn off all the devices connected to the computer. Unplug the power cord from the computer to the power source (power or power adapter).
  2. Remove the cover from the computer.
  3. Find the battery on the Board.
  4. With a medium flat head screwdriver, gently release the battery from its connector. Note the direction of the "+" and "-" on the battery.
  5. Leave the battery for 10-15 minutes, the CMOS to lose the settings.
  6. Replace the battery in the connector, guide the "+" and "-" correctly.
  7. Replace the computer cover.
  8. Re-turning on the system.

  The BIOS has detected a hardware error on port 3.  Try to run hardware diagnostics. If the diagnostics detects errors, then it is time to replace the hard drive. If you do, buy a non-avance format model that is less than 2 GB.

  Backup your data anda remember to create the external HP recovery media before doing anything.
