    Hello

    a rule in the ADF is still working through the link layer (and that's what you start by before you can join the impl classes). When you have access to a DCIteratorBinding, you have access to the lines it holds. Of the DCIteratorBinding, you can get access to the RowSetIterator (getRowSetIterator()). Here you can now create new lines programmatically by calling

    -Row rw = rowSetIterator.createRow ();
    -fill in the attribute for line
    -rowSetIterator.insertRow (rw);

    You can also use this to simply update the existing lines. With the next commit, these changes will be persistent in the database.

  • By using the impl class for functions on a table

    I'm looking for a bit of advice on best practices.

    I have an app with 35 paintings.  I need to have a button "reset comes out" on each table.

    Each resetSort method should specify the table and the specific iterator.

    I tried to not having all the functions of 35 in the bean to support (1 for each table).

    Can I bind each table has associated feature class impl and each resetSort button call a method in this class?

    I use jdev 11.1.1.6.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Ray

    Then your real mission is to find the table for which the use wants to put sorting by pressing a button?

    This should be doable with the bean and a function that you bind to each of the reset buttons that you use for your tables.

    If your presentation is for the tables and the button to reset sorting, you can use an actionListener to the button. In the event of action, with the knowledge of the layout, it is easy to get to the table and once you have the table that you get the iterator from the table.

    Assuming that your tables are always surrounded by a panelCollection, who owns a toolbar now your reset button

    emptyText = "#{bindings." EmployeesView.viewable? "{'No data to display.': 'Access Denied.'}".

    fetchSize = "#{bindings." EmployeesView.rangeSize}' rowBandingInterval = '0 '.

    selectedRowKeys = ' #{bindings. " EmployeesView.collectionModel.selectedRow}.

    selectionListener = "#{bindings." RowSelection EmployeesView.collectionModel.makeCurrent}"="single"id ="t1">

    You can use this code actionListener

    {} public void resetSort (ActionEvent actionEvent)

    get the link container

    BindingContainer links is BindingContext.getCurrent () .getCurrentBindingsEntry ();.

    DCBindingContainer dcBindings = (DCBindingContainer) links;

    UIComponent toolbar (UIComponent) = actionEvent.getSource ();

    Try to get the source of the event table

    assuming that the button is in a toolbar of a panelCollection we get using parent.parent.children

    List of children of = toolbar.getParent () .getParent () .getChildren ();

    Table richeTableau = null;

    for (UIComponent uic: children) {}

    If (uic instanceof richeTableau) {}

    table = uic (richeTableau);

    break;

    }

    }

    If (table! = null) {}

    the model in the Collection is the object that provides the

    structured data

    for the table to render

    CollectionModel tableModel = (CollectionModel) table.getValue ();

    the purpose of the ADF that implements the CollectionModel is

    JUCtrlHierBinding. It is surrounded by the CollectionModel API

    JUCtrlHierBinding adfTableBinding = (JUCtrlHierBinding) tableModel.getWrappedData ();

    Acess the ADF, which is used with iterator

    ADF table binding

    DCIteratorBinding iterBind = adfTableBinding.getDCIteratorBinding ();

    table.queueEvent (new SortEvent (table, new ArrayList()));

    CurrentRow key = null;

    Line = iterBind.getCurrentRow ();

    If (line! = null)

    currentRow = row.getKey ();

    SC SortCriteria [] = new SortCriteria [0];

    iterBind.applySortCriteria (sc); iterBind is that the table iterator use

    iterBind.executeQuery ();

    If (currentRow! = null)

    iterBind.setCurrentRowWithKey (currentRow.toStringFormat (true));

    }

    }

    This code looks for the table of the source of the action, which is the button in the toolbar, get the tabel. Once you have the table you get the iterator from the table and reset the sort. This works as long as we find the source of the action table. If you always use the same layout for tables (for example. panelCollection > table), which is a practice of good uix, you have need of a bean to reset all tables. Simply link the toolbar button actionListner to the listener in the bean.

  • Storage and access to the values of the pageFlowScope at the bean

    Using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0

    Hi again,
    I read somewhere that store parameter values in a bean is a good practice, now I wonder. I did this and 'declared' this bean to my workflow bounded as pageFlowScope. Now, I need to access the values in another bean "method (scope of application) and cannot get them." If I would have just used EL #{pageFlowScope.variable1} I know how access (as in my code below), but since they are in a bean I can't find the right way to retrieve the values. Is it possible and how?
        <managed-bean id="__3">
          <managed-bean-name id="__2">ViewAmtsParameters</managed-bean-name>
          <managed-bean-class>tax.viewamtsowedtreetbl.view.ViewAmtsParameters</managed-bean-class>
          <managed-bean-scope id="__4">pageFlow</managed-bean-scope>
        </managed-bean>

        // Get access to the adf faces context for page flow scope
        AdfFacesContext adfctx = null;
        adfctx = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
        BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
        OperationBinding operationBinding =
            bindings.getOperationBinding("ExecuteWithParams");
        // Set the parameters for the query
        operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("cid",
                                            adfctx.getPageFlowScope().get("ViewAmtsParameters.clientIdParam"));
        operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("can",
                                            adfctx.getPageFlowScope().get("ViewAmtsParameters.canParam"));
        operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("asofdate", newValue);
        System.out.printf("first execute parms  %s   %s      %s \n",
                          operationBinding.getParamsMap().get("cid"),  -- returned null
                          operationBinding.getParamsMap().get("can"), -- returned null
                          operationBinding.getParamsMap().get("asofdate"));
    I also tried to use accessors of the bean of the pageFlowScope, which gives me an error indicating that the access is forbidden.

    Thanks again in advance.
    Troy

    "" "You're almost there. '" You cannot directly access the bean inside bean attributes. The pageFlowScope card allows you to access the bean itself. Once you have the bean, you can use their getter to get the attributes.
    Or you use the EL (as you use it on the page) and evaluate it for the value:

    public static Object resolveExpression(String expression)
        {

  • Get the value of the bind variable in backing bean class VO Impl

    Hello

    I have a VO that includes a bind "pOrgId" variable, the VO has a java VO Impl class that includes:

    /**
    * Returns the value of the variable to pOrgId.
    value of the variable * @return for pOrgId
    */
    public {getpOrgId() number
    return (Number) ensureVariableManager () .getVariableValue ("pOrgId");
    }

    So it is possible to obtain the value is concluded by the binding variable using this class in a backing bean? (I tried to import the VOImpl class in the bean to support, but getpOrgId is not available?).

    (JDEV 11.1.2.3.0)

    Concerning
    Carl

    Hello

    When you create a ViewObjectImpl class, none of these options is to generate the getter/setter for bind variable. Create a client class interface and expose the get method for the variable binding. Now, you can reference the method since a binding method in the ADF, which you then access a managed bean by calling

      BindingContext bctx = BindingContext.getCurrent();
      BindingContainer bindings = bctx.getCurrentBindingsEntry();
      OperationBinding oper = (OperationBinding) bindings.get("name of the method binding");
      Object returnVal = oper.execute();

  • Workflow managed bean with dynamic class

    Hello

    I am trying to create an Adaptive workflow, which is generic and can be reused.  The problem I have is trying to define the bean managed support.  Ideally I'd like a different class of bean to be used in various circumstances, but with the same name.  I don't know what class to use until the output of the task is called.

    I can't use for EL do know

    <managed-bean id="__1">
      <managed-bean-name>RegionBacking</managed-bean-name>
      <managed-bean-class>${pageFlowScope.regionBackingClass}</managed-bean-class>
      <managed-bean-scope>pageFlow</managed-bean-scope>
    </managed-bean>

    (regionBackingClass is a java.lang.String parameter passed in the taskflow with the class path).

    At this point, I need to use different classes have the same method names in their breast, just different code in methods, but that could change in the future.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    use a model approach. The managed bean configured as managed bean is simply a wrapper and instantiated dynamically the class that you want to manage the logic. Thus, you can for example pass the class name as input argument for the workflow in the managed bean and admire you the name then create the instance of the class to send all requests to.

  • Cannot access the template page links in the bean class

    Hi all

    I use JDEV 12 c.

    I have a model in which I have 2 languages English and Hindi.

    Change language (when), I have re - run LOV queries for the respective language.

    so I added links method in model pagedef and try to access the same thing in the bean model class.

    When I have access to, I get Nullpointer Exception, who says the OperationBinding, does not exist in pagedef.

    is there a any restriction I can't access model pagedef in the bean class.

    Please suggest on this.

    Thank you

  • AM how to call the methods of class Impl EO

    Hello world

    I try to display database data in a table, and I need to add a transitional and calculated attribute.

    So I created an EO, I added a transitional attribute, and now I need to create the method that calculates its value.

    I created this method of AOS.

    Back to EO Impl class, I want to call this method in the Get accessor of my transitional attribute.

    To call this AM method in the EO Impl category, I have to get the AM, and I don't know how to do it. Because I'm used to getting the pageContext controller AM.

    I googled and found that I don't need to create the method in the AM, I found that I just have to code directly in the Get accessor.

    But again, to calculate my transitional attribute, I have need for some queries and for that I need OADBTransaction, which means once again, I need to get the AM in the Impl EO class.

    I'm confused, I don't know how to do, if anyone can help please

    Thank you

    Kind regards

    Afaf

    If you derive the value based on the query, it would be better to do it in a single query.

    If you can stick the main request and the subquery (s) here, I take a look.

    If this is not possible using the query, you can get the oaDBTransaction like below in the VO RowImpl.

    Import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAApplicationModule;

            OAApplicationModule appModule = (OAApplicationModule)this.getApplicationModule();
            appModule.getOADBTransaction()

    See you soon

  • Portlet backing bean

    Hello
    How the backing bean portlet to display the user interface for view.jspx objects? I have a table in my portlet view.jspx. I want to get the current line of the bean support. If I get the table object in backing bean, I can get it directly from backing bean.

    Thank you
    $N

    You must first create a java class. Save this java class in faces-config.

    Your class should look like this:

    package portlet.beans

    public class MyBean
    {
        private RichTable tbl;

        public RichTable getTbl(){return tbl;}
        public void setTbl(RichTable t){tbl = t;}

         public void doSubmit(ActionEvent e){
            Object o = getSelectedRow();
             //Do something
          }

        public Object getSelectedRow(){
           return tbl.getSelectedRowData();
        }
    }

    The code in your faces-config file look like

        myBean
        portlet.beans.MyBean
        session

    You JSPX will look something like this:

          ...

    Additional information on beans managed: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/b31974/web_getstarted.htm#CACCFIII
    (the talkes information adfc-config, but you can apply to the faces-config. The big difference is that adfc-config is used for the purposes of the ADF and faces - config.xml is standard JSF. You cannot use adfc-config in a portlet to producer)

  • New number of Bean

    Can someone help me?
    My technical environment is not complicated and very simple:

    1. Windows XP, Service Pack 3
    2 Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.1.0
    3 OC4J
    4 Oracle9iAS Forms Services version 2
    5. Internet Explorer version 6.0.2
    6 oracle form Builder [32 bit] Version 9.0.2.9.0 / Oracle Report Builder 9.0.2.0.3
    7 Langis vers1.3.1.9,

    All these software are installed in the same platform (PC)

    I already posted a topic that describes my problem on how I can use pieces of Bean in "Oracle Forms Builder9i" for:
    -Storage and recovery, movies, images and audio from and to a database
    -Manage the word, excel and acrobat reader files

    I got a response leading me to this URL: http://forms.pjc.bean.over-blog.com
    In this site, I found what I'm looking for, but most of them do not work with my technical environment and after I checked I discovered that most of the files of the WBF, in this site, using a java files containing a class so far kifani, are not worked in my technical environment.

    Finally:
    Can someone help me to find the FMB files that use an element of bean in Oracle Forms Builder9i and work with my technical environment to solve my problem mentioned above?

    Thank you.

    It is a fact that, if you remove the bean of the canvas area, you will have no result because it IS the feature.
    So, what you can do is to reopen the original FMB in the object editor, open the palette property of the element of the area of the bean, cut off from the implementation in the Clipboard class, open the canvas in the layout editor, then paste again for the area of the bean implementation class, so that you have the drawing box and stuff all running.

    One last thing, when you run a form that contains a Java Bean, display the console Java runtime to ensure there is no error message.

  • to call the ColorPicker bean

    Hello

    I created a procedure called PickColor that uses twin FBean.Invoke_char.
    then I created a button in the control block.

    I put the ownership of the application for oracle.forms.demos.beans.ColorPicker class
    and added the following code,

    When-button-pressed the trigger for the button:
    PickColor ('Canvas');

    a time-new-form-instance trigger on the customers.fmb form:
    FBean.Register_Bean('control.colorpicker',1,'oracle.forms.demos.beans.ColorPicker');
    go_block ('customers');
    execute_query;

    but I can't invoke ColorPicker bean from the button.
    pls help me.

    No, it is not necessary. All you have to do is to add the JAR file to the archive_jini tag.

    Hello

    I have implemented simple bean and try to get the output of the FORM.
    But impossible to get the results. Here are the steps.

    Bean created

    END;
    -In the area of the bean implementation class - «my_ora_bean.» My_Ora_Bean ".
    -Instead of D:\DevSuiteHome\forms90\java the My_Ora_Bean.jar
    -Add My_Ora_Bean.jar to the file formsweb.cfg in archive_jini parameter =...

    Besides the above anything to do? (definition, as the way to register...)
    Using Forms Builder (9.0.4.2.0), java jdk1.6.0_12

    I said already, you must set the compiler IDE JRE 1.3 to use the bean with the JInitiator.

  • How to access two different grains as a parameter in a taskflow

    Hi Experts,

    JDEV 12.1.3.0

    I have a workflow where a parameter is defined as below

    parameter name: workBean

    parameter value: #{pageFlowScope.workBean}

    type of class: view.bean.WorkBean

    public class WorkBean {}

    private String locName;

    private String locNum;

    getters and setters

    }

    Similarly, I want to call the taskflow even in another page that has the parameter as taskflow below

    public class SecondaryBean {}

    private String locName;

    private String locNum;

    getters and setters

    }

    Since the parameter already defined as workBean and class defined as class type type: view.bean.WorkBean

    How can I send the secondaryBean.  Please note that the two bean has the same settings.

    Please advice.

    Thank you

    Roy

    Yes, same bean class, different names when you define them in the workflow.

    Since the flow of work tasks

    parameter name: workBean

    parameter value: #{pageFlowScope.workBean}

    type of class: view.bean.WorkBean

    The second workflow

    parameter name: workBean

    parameter value: #{pageFlowScope.secondBean}

    type of class: view.bean.WorkBean

    The beans are of type class WorkBean
