Hi all, I have some problems with my FN keys, my touchpad no longer works, in addition to this, when I press the FN key, I don't see any icon on the top of the screen... Two days ago, all this did not work properly... An error is given by the program called Tossiba assist, its written exactly this way: this system cannot use accessibility... Try to restart flash cards.
Start > all programs > Toshiba > utilities > restart Flash Cards

After doing this press FN button several times to see if Flash Cards are still on the top of the screen.
If you see Flash cards again use the FN + F9 key combination to activate the touch pad again.

  • Touchpad no longer works after update BIOS on Satellite A500-1GL

    Hello world

I just bought my laptop Satellite A500-1GL today. I started at the top and plays a bit (nothing serious). The touchpad worked very well at the moment.

Then I discovered this tool to update the material and the update of the BIOS that worked without any problems. After I restarted the laptop, BIOS, loaded the default values of the installation and recorded.
After that Windows 7 (x 64) started the touchpad no longer works...

I downloaded the driver here and installed again once, still does not. I went into the BIOS, disabled the touchpad (I thought that maybe it's a bug...) and started again. It still does not...

I enabled it again in the BIOS, tried to push the function + F9, but it still does not... Finally, I used the recovery and installed a Windows 7 costs.
    But unfortunately it still doesn't.

Now, I'm out of ideas, can anyone help?
Is there a chance to get the older version of BIOS to downgrade it?

    Thanks in advance ;)

    Hello

It seems strange that after update Bios touchpad no longer works.

    > Is there a chance to get the older version of BIOS to downgrade it?

To be honest, I don't know where to find. In any case, do a search on Google. Perhaps, other users of the forum can give you a link to download.
The downgrade of the Bios is riskier upgrade procedure. So, be careful the next time...

I have a new split of HP 13 x 2. The touchpad no longer works. This is the latest driver Synaptics Touchpad (17.0.10.9). I'm under WIN 8.1. I have to close the session and then again for the touchpad to start working again. Any suggestions?

Took a little digging on the forum but found this solution that worked for me in solving the touchpad freeze problem:

  • Touchpad no longer works after the clean boot

Own, I started my laptop today, following the steps on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135. After the first reboot in clean boot my laptop touchpad scroll bar stopped working. I can now scroll using only the arrow, or quiet mouse clicks on the arrows at the end of a ScrollBar to the screen. In addition, I can't select any text with my touchpad now. All this happened after the boot process. What has gone wrong? How to fix?

  • Synaptics Touchpad no longer works correctly

    Hello Internet!

Hear my fate and tremble: I recently updated my drivers from the official manufacturer website Synaptics touchpad.  Before the update I could press twice on the upper left of the touchpad to enable and disable the touchpad.  It is a convenient feature that I have grown very fond of.  However, after the update this feature no longer works!  I'm so devastated...  I really enjoyed watching the pretty light outline of my touchpad to turn to a hurt red when it has been disabled.  I suppose I could return the drivers back to their old form, but I wanted to check if anyone knew a separate fix so that I could have as well the new drivers and the old features that I loved so much.

My model number is: A6Y49UA #ABA

    My operating system: Windows 7

Thanks for your help, I remember you when I am the dictator of the world.

When you install the drivers of the manufacturing site, they may or may not work properly with your laptop.  Can of OEM and sometimes change a driver so that it works properly with your exact laptop.

If you don't have a problem with the old driver, I suggest you do a roll back driver.

  • touchpad no longer works on my Dell Inspiron 14R

I have a gently used, Dell Inspiron 14R, my mother gave me a year ago.  It is 2 years old and was working fine until my child of 8 years began to play with her. I don't know what happened, but now the touchpad has stopped working. I have attached an external mouse which works fine, but I want to download photos from my iPhone and have that on the USB port. I can't have the mouse and iPhone connected together. Thanks for any advice. Karen Bigos

Buy a USB hub. They are inexpensive; Amazon has them from $5.99

They transform into a USB port into several, as an extension or a cube

  • Mouse Touchpad no longer works correctly

My touchpad mouse no longer works correctly.  I'm unable to double-click, even after changing the speed setting in the control panel.  In addition, items are selected when appropriate without a click. This could be a virus or a definition that has been accidentally changed?  I tried to restore to a previous point, when things were working properly and that did not help.

Check with your PC manufacturer for support.  You may need to update your driver.

  • HP Envy 15 x 360 PC convertible: HP Envy 15 x 360 convertible PC touchpad no longer works?

So my boyfriend for my last birthday brought me this amazing new laptop, I got it for only less than a month now, and I don't use it all day as its especially for college work and to watch TV shows from time to time. So when I pulled my touchpad is today completely insensitive and he made me a slight panic because it was a gift and I know that it was not particularly cheap. I don't know if it's something that I've physically done for her (which I doubt because it's probably onlt served approximately 8 times since I got it) or if it is a problem that occurs on a regular basis to this model?

    Help, please!

    Hi there @Chloekirkham98,

Thank you for joining the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is a great place to ask questions, find solutions and get help from others in the community! I read your post on the Forums of HP Support. I wanted to join you and help! I understand that your TouchPad does not work on your laptop HP ENVY 15 PC.

Have you done all your Windows updates?

Have you tried to connect an external mouse?

    It works very well?

The best document I have for TouchPad problems is the use and troubleshooting of the TouchPad and ClickPad document.

There is a section called allowing a TouchPad and ClickPad. On some laptops, the TouchPad can be disabled by pressing a power button located near the TouchPad. Please check and make sure that it was not postponed.

If the laptop doesn't have a power button, then you can use the properties of the mouse to check and see if you need to activate the TouchPad.

If you click on the additional mouse settings , it should display the mouse properties page. If you go to the last tab and it says allow devices, please click on enable devices. This will set the default parameters (see examples below).

If it does not say to activate the devices than the TouchPad that is. Please use thislink for the HP Support Assistant, if you do not already have HP Support Assistant. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updated.

Please let me know if I answered your question by clicking the "Thumbs up" if the troubleshooting in this post steps solves the problem for you please click on the button "Accept as Solution" . This will allow to the others is that present the same problem a solution also. If you need assistance, I would be more than happy to continue to help you. Please just re-post with the results of troubleshooting as well as your model number (How can I find my model number or product number?).

    Thank you!

    Hello

Check the FN + F9 key combination.

If the touchpad still does not work, try reinstalling the driver for the touchpad.

  • Satellite M70 PSM73C - touchpad no longer works

For some reason any my touchpad isn't working.

After trying unsuccessfully to get it working again, I found the software installation driver (tpdrv-xp - 603056.zip) on the Toshiba site.
I thought I would uninstall and reinstall to fix the problem, but when I try to start the installation I get the cryptic error messages.

The shield of the installation does not work yet.

Anyone who has had success or knows how to get this software to install the touchpad?

    Thank you.

What error message you get exactly?

To reinstall or update the driver for the touchpad, you should delete the old first in Add/Remove Programs, restart your computer and install the new version from the Toshiba site.

  • Touchpad no longer works after upgrade to VISTA on my M105-S3084

I recently updated my system to VISTA and since that time, my touchpad does not work. I tried to install all types of drivers, that nothing seems to work. VISTA indicated that the device works properly. All other devices work - just the touchpad.

    Any idea?

    1 million thanks!
    Axel

Have you checked if the touchpad is not disabled?
You can enable and disable the touchpad by using the FN + F9 key, but I don't know if it will work if you have not installed the correct drivers m.

However, in my opinion, the touchpad does not work due to incorrect or missing drivers!

The laptop seems to be designed for the American market, and therefore, you should use the Toshiba site to download the correct Vista drivers!
