• Palm Desktop by Access 6.2.2 shows that media and installation options

  I run Palm TX on desktop PC Windows XP with Palm Desktop 4.1.4 and laptop Windows Vista business - no problem with the Xp machine

  Palm Desktop by Access 6.2.2 worked but now only shows the multimedia options and install - everything else like calendar and address book does not appear. • Palm Desktop by Access removal of contacts

  I have a Tungsten e2, I use Palm Desktop by Access version 6.2 and use hotsync manager version 7 with Windows 7. I've recently updated it Palm Desktop software for the Access 6.2 version since then he started to remove about 2/3 of my contacts from time to time. When I run the software to display deleted files so that I can restore them they appear not as being deleted. I can synchronize or import to restore them so it's not the question.   Biggest problem reported with Palm Desktop 6.2.2 is turn off your computer with the program remains open.  This can cause the problem you describe.

  Always close the program properly before feeding the worms down or reboot.

  If it's important I use Windows Vista Home Premium.  And until I tried installing, I: uninstalled my previous versions of Palm Desktop by using the uninstall feature from the CD installation disc, disabled my antivirus, stop Windows Defender and set the compatibility mode of PalmDesktopWin62.exe to the option "Windows XP (Service Pack 2).

  Someone knows how to fix this?

  Have you tried running just 'normally '?  Disable your AntiVirus software temporarily during installation?

  Advice please! After reclassification Sony VGC VA1 from XP to Windows 7, I can't install the newly downloaded version of Palm Desktop by Access. I get error messages that... Palm Desktop by ACCESS.msi is not found. Ihe previous version uninstall did not help.

• HotSync: Palm Desktop by ACCESS must be closed when running HotSync?

  I just got this Centro by Verizon two days ago.  I realized that Centro or Palm Desktop is updated if the Plam desktop is open or running.  If I close the Desktop and HotSync application, then the Centro and the office are updated.

  Is this a bug?  Or I have to change some set up or something?  The previous version of the Office Plam and Tungsten T obtain upated if the application is running or not.   I wish that the operation of the previous version.  Information, ideas, or comments on this would be appreciated.

  Older versions of palm desktop saved data after you he entered the office.   Does anyone know what specific registry keys, files or directories need to be cleaned for this error to disappear when installing Palm Desktop 6.2?

  Note that I had a previous version 4.1.4, which was damaged.   I ran Windows Installer Clean-up as well as CCleaner, but neither seems to fix this.  I also have to search through the registry trying to find any key 'palm' persistent and those nuke.

  The article had a very good description of how to clean the registry where "junk" stayed since the previous installations of Palm Desktop Installer keys.  I could then go from 4.0.2 to 4.1.4 without a problem.

  am a beginner and am not quite understanding things... I have a Palm TX that I sync via USB to a laptop running Vista Home... (doing this for the past 6 months)... I just updated the 6.2 desktop software (I was running 4.3 before the synchronization problem prompted me to upgrade)... I'm not able to search the files of my current office that I've updated since my last sync... any suggestions?... I use retrospect express hd to back up my laptop computer on a weekly basis, but do not see that the files he have all the new data in the files of user/os palm for backup or archive or Memo etc... Please tell us the 'save every 15 minutes' hence it is save and if it's in all areas on things like calendar, Memo, documents, etc... and where I should find these files... also advise if I should save my tx separately rather than according to the backup of the laptop for the files (and why)...

  The palm software keeps only a backup. If you have your laptop software to keep multiple copies of backups, you can find multiple copies, but insofar as the palm software it keeps a backup copy of each individual database and a data file.

• Windows Reloaded - Palm Desktop Sync

  I recently needed to reload Windows XP on my computer.  All the contents of my Palm Desktop data were moved to a backup folder. I need now re - install the Palm Desktop software and Resync with my Centero.

  I'm not sure what the procedure is after reloading of the Palm desktop application

  Can I just resynch with my certero without having to move the data from the backup of files to the Palm desktop application or can just sync and have my update of centero palm files? The data on my centero matches what was in the backup folder.

  Hello bigdogron and welcome to the forums of Palm.

  The process that I found that works best is:

  1 copy the entire folder of the Palm of the backup location in the folder c:\program files.

  2 reinstall the Palm Desktop application in the path: c:\program files\palm.

  3 reinstall third-party software like Chapura or DataViz Documents To Go Pocket mirror; restore the office with the new installation pipes.

  4 re - synchronize your Centro.

  Just keep in mind that when you install this software, you must have the Administrator role applied to your user account so that the folder c:\windows Windows and Windows registry is updated correctly.  Once the software has been installed and you have made at least a good HotSync, you can revoke the rights if necessary admin.

  Hello.. Welcome to the forums of Palm.  In response to your question No. HotSync will define lines either outlook or Palm desktop.  Technically you could synce to one, go in the lines and change them to another and synchronize, i.e. whenever you want to synchronize you would have to modify the ducts and it would add very likely data corruption.

• Zire hot sync

  Hello

  I'm having a hot-sync problem from my computer palm zire with my new computer Inspiron 1546, 64-bit, with a home premium to windows 7.

  Running hot Sync Manager I have the icon on the bottom bar of the right tool in the system tray is a USB and it is checked.

  When I enter all upwards in the system at the end of a synchronization operation hot tray a failure box appears.

  That is the selected port COM1 is not available at this time. HotSync manager will open the port when it becomes available. the premises of the port series is empty and I can't get into something is where COM1 should be.

  In the setup of the box I looked into the hot sync LOG this message if poster is. The logfile c:\program (x 86)-palm\johnsw\hotsync journal is not found.

  Your question is asked here, on a daily basis.  I refer you to the thread of fat at the top of this section entitled "Windows7 and Vista synchronization instructions.

  In short, you cannot synchronize via USB to any 64 bit OS.  The company Palm Desktop factory (access to the Japan) seems to have no interest in updating the program to run on this type of operating system.
